CMT Advanced technology stands for deposition rates that can be exactly adjusted by way of positive and negative process cycles. As well as the wire motions, now the polarity of the welding current is fully integrated into the process-control as well. Polarity reversal takes place in the short-circuiting phase, which is what ensures the accustomed process stability of CMT. Further advantages include carefully targeted thermal input, and a higher deposition rate with no increase in heat input and with minimal distortion. This opens the process window for CMT even wider. And by emitting fewer welding fumes, the process also makes work much more pleasant for the welder. The CMT Puls Advanced process comprises CMT cycles with negative electrode polarity alternating with positivepolarity pulsing phases. Der Name Contec setzt sich aus Con(tact) für Kontakt und (Con) Tec für Technologie zusammen. Mittels revolutionärer Halbschalentechnologie ergibt sich weltweit erstmals eine höchst präzise Kontaktierung mit klaren Vorteilen: Eine deutliche Erhöhung der Verfügbarkeit des gesamten Schweißsystems ist garantiert sowie die Verbesserung der Schweißprozess-Stabilität über die gesamte Standzeit des Verschleißteils. Ist ein vordefi nierter Zeitpunkt erreicht, stoppt das Schweißsystem und wechselt den Brennerkörper mit dem verschlissenen Kontaktrohr gegen einen vorbereiteten Brennerkörper innerhalb von 30 Sekunden aus. Das Wechselsystem kann auch unterschiedliche Brennergeometrien austauschen. Wenn gleichzeitig ein Bauteilwechsel stattfi ndet, ist die Anlage zu 100 % verfügbar. WireXchange Autonomer Drahtwechsel Innerhalb des Verbrauchszeitraums muss der Anlagenführer nicht mehr abwarten, bis das Drahtfass zu Ende ist. Es reicht, das vollgefüllte Fass zur Verfügung zu stellen. Der Drahtwechsel erfolgt danach mannlos und verlässlich während des Schichteinsatzes. Ein Hilfsantrieb übernimmt diese Aufgabe. Ein spezielles Einschulen von Personal ist nicht nötig. Service routines can be synchronised to take place at the same time, making it possible to calculate the downtime exactly. WireXchange autonomous wire-change While wire is still being consumed, it is no longer necessary for the system supervisor to wait around until the wire bulk-pack has run out. All that is necessary is to have a full bulk pack at the ready. The wirechange then takes place without human intervention, but just as reliably, during the unmanned shift. This task is taken care of by an auxiliary drive. There is no need to give staff any special training. Quality assurance with Q-Eye The Q-Eye quality assurance system sits right on the welding torch and gets a close-up view of the whole welding operation. During welding, it records high-grade images of the weld-seam, which serve as the basis for further evaluation. In this way, Q-Eye gives a better insight into the weld process and its immediate vicinity than would ever be possible with a conventional welding shield.
