To develop procedures and systems at the highest possible safety standards. To continiously innovate/improve the process of transporting gasses. To cooperate with players to develop a safe and mature LNG market. To use our Gastransport experience to help develop appropriate legislation (ADN, IGF ) To have one LNG fueled Inland LPG tanker operational Q To have two LNG fueled short-sea LPG carriers operational 2015/16 To study on the feasability to design and build an LNG fueled Inland LNG tanker depending ongoing discussions with potential customers.

66 Content of the Sirocco project Replacing old capacity by a new build vessel. Technical and navigational parameters must fit in fleet operational requirements. Training/Knowledge of cryogenic parts and products. How to meet future emission requirements. How to deal with the economics of this LNG Fuel project. To gear up appropriate design and development partners. Will they stay on board with strong headwinds. How to deal with the lack of rules and legislation in respect of LNG on inland waters. Hazid studies and technical posibilities such as the holding time of the storage tank. What to expect from the LNG bunker facilities and its infrastructure?

67 Sirocco today Name Präsentation Operational performs very well. Bunkering operations are routine by now but logistics still need much support from shore organisation. By far its not the same as MGO bunkering. Minor technical issues were resolved promptly by contractors. A well trained and involved crew is a must. The on board technical and operational knowledge from the LNG systems appears to be of high value. The vessel was accepted by our clients without any difficulty. LNG fuel pricing compared to MGO is at this moment an unexpected factor in the economics. For Chemgas the Sirocco project is of high value for the upcoming new coastal vessels. With regards to the upcoming coastal vessels LNG infrastructure is a concern for next years. Depending the price gab MGO-LNG the economics are difficult to justify.
