1 Seite 1 von 6 Update Process Monitoring System W3T USB/LAN ACHTUNG Für das Update des Process Monitoring Systems ist die Verwendung einer Industrie-SD-Speicherkarte (Artikel-Nr. W2T806599) mit schnellen Zugriffszeiten erforderlich. Die Standard-Speicherkarten, die im Lieferumfang enthalten sind, sind aufgrund der notwendigen höheren Zugriffszeiten nicht dafür geeignet. Process Monitoring System - Firmware-Update Bei einem Firmwareupdate wird das Process Monitoring System auf Werkseinstellung gesetzt. Alle Einstellungen wie z. B. IP Konfiguration, Event Konfiguration, Bus-Scan usw. müssen erneut vorgenommen werden. Gegebenenfalls müssen alle Einstellungen in Setup vor dem Update notiert werden. Ein Update kann erforderlich sein, wenn z.b. neue Funktionen oder auch Verbesserungen zur Verfügung stehen, die bei der Lieferung des Process Monitoring System noch nicht verfügbar waren. Die Firmware wird unter dem Dateinamen Tixi.Gate_FW.tar.gz geführt. Zum Firmware-Update gehen Sie wie folgt vor: 1 Datei Tixi.Gate_FW.tar.gz auf eine FAT16 oder FAT32 formatierte SD-Speicherkarte (max. 32 GB Speicherkapazität) kopieren. 2 Process Monitoring System ausschalten. 3 SD-Speicherkarte mit der Firmwaredatei in den SD-Slot des Process Monitoring System stecken. 4 Gerät wieder einschalten. 5 Die neue Firmware wird eingelesen, dabei leuchten und/oder blinken einige LEDs am PMS. Der Vorgang dauert ca. 4 Minuten. Anschließend führt das Gerät einen Neustart aus. Wenn das PMS einmal piept, ist das Update beendet. Während des Updates die Spannungsversorgung des Process Monitoring System nicht abschalten! Nach dem Update die Firmwaredatei Tixi.Gate_FW.tar.gz von der SD-Karte des Process Monitoring System wieder löschen. LAE6710 Seite 1 von 6

2 Seite 2 von 6 Process Monitoring System Update Webapplikation Ein Update der Webapplikation kann erforderlich sein, wenn neue Busteilnehmer verfügbar sind, die bei Lieferung des Process Monitoring System noch nicht verfügbar waren, Verbesserungen durchgeführt oder auch neue Funktionen integriert wurden. Sofern eine neue Version verfügbar ist, kann diese von der Homepage im Downloadbereich heruntergeladen werden. Um am Process Monitoring System die Webapplikation zu aktualisieren, muss zunächst ein Factory Reset zum Löschen der aktuellen Webapplikaion durchgeführt werden. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie das erforderliche Updatefile (config.txt) verfügbar haben. Bei einem Firmwareupdate wird das Process Monitoring System auf Werkseinstellung gesetzt. Alle Einstellungen wie z. B. IP Konfiguration, Event Konfiguration, Bus-Scan usw. müssen erneut vorgenommen werden. Gegebenenfalls müssen alle Einstellungen in Setup vor dem Udapte notiert werden. Webapplikation löschen Gehen Sie wie folgt vor, um die Webapplikation zu löschen: 1 Process Monitoring System ausschalten und fünf Sekunden warten. 2 Service-Taste drücken und halten, während das Process Monitoring System wieder eingeschaltet wird. 3 Service-Taste gedrückt halten bis die Power LED blinkt. 4 Service-Taste loslassen und erneut drücken bis die Power LED schneller blinkt. 5 Service-Taste loslassen und anschließend startet das Process Monitoring System neu. Ein Zugriff auf die Process Monitoring System Webseiten ist nun nicht mehr möglich! Die Webapplikation ist gelöscht. Webapplikation laden Um eine neue Webapplikation in das Process Monitoring System zu laden, gehen Sie wie folgt vor: 1 Process Monitoring System ausschalten. 2 SD-Speicherkarte entnehmen. 3 Neue Webapplikation config.txt auf die SD-Speicherkarte (kein Unterverzeichnis, Schreibschutz inaktiv) kopieren. 4 SD-Speicherkarte mit der config.txt-datei in das Process Monitoring System einlegen. 5 Process Monitoring System einschalten. Nun führt das Process Monitoring System einen Neustart aus und liest die neue Konfiguration bzw. Webapplikation ein. Der Vorgang dauert ca. 3 bis 4 Minuten, während dem Aktualisieren darf kein Spannungsausfall erfolgen bzw. das Process Monitoring System nicht abgeschaltet werden. Die Signal-LED flackert während der Aktualisierung. Wenn der Vorgang abgeschlossen ist, piept das Process Monitoring System und führt einen Neustart aus. Das Process Monitoring System ist nun wieder auf Werkseinstellungen gesetzt und muss neu konfiguriert werden (IP Einstellungen, Bus-Scan, etc.). Siehe Betriebsanleitung. 6 Nach dem Update die Datei config.txt von der SD-Karte des Process Monitoring System löschen. LAE6710 Seite 2 von 6

3 Seite 3 von 6 Was tun, wenn das Update der Webapplikation evtl. nicht funktioniert hat? Zuerst die Webapplikation löschen (siehe Webapplikation löschen ). Um ein wiederholtes Update (mit der gleichen Webapplikationsversion) durchzuführen, muss die im Process Monitoring System intern gespeicherte Versionskennung gelöscht werden. Gehen Sie dazu wie folgt vor: 1 Laden Sie die ZIP-Datei CONF-DEF.ZIP von unserer Homepage herunter. 2 Entpacken Sie die ZIP-Datei CONF-DEF.ZIP. 3 Benennen Sie die entpackte Datei CONF_DEF.TXT in config.txt um. 4 Die (umbenannte) Datei config.txt auf die SD-Speicherkarte (kein Unterverzeichnis, Schreibschutz inaktiv) kopieren. 5 Process Monitoring System ausschalten. 6 SD-Speicherkarte in den SD-Slot des Process Monitoring System stecken. 7 Gerät wieder einschalten. Folgender Vorgang wird durchgeführt: Nach dem Neustart wird die Versionskennung gelöscht, dabei leuchtet die Active LED rot, die Signal-LED blinkt rot. Der Vorgang ist abgeschossen, wenn das PMS piept und die Active LED wieder grün ist. (Dauer: ca. 20 Sek.) Danach kann die Webapplikation neu geladen werden (siehe Webapplikation laden ) Für das Update des Process Monitoring Systems ist die Verwendung einer Industrie-SD-Speicherkarte (Artikel-Nr. W2T806599) mit schnellen Zugriffszeiten erforderlich. Die Standard-Speicherkarten, die im Lieferumfang enthalten sind, sind aufgrund der notwendigen höheren Zugriffszeiten nicht dafür geeignet. Process Monitoring System - Firmware-Update A firmware update resets the process monitoring system to factory settings. The process takes about 4 minutes. The update is finished, if the device restarts and beeps once. Do not switch off the power supply to the Process Monitoring System while the update is being performed! 5 Seite 5 von 6 Process Monitoring System - Update web application An update of the web application can be necessary if new bus users are available that were not yet available upon delivery of the process monitoring system, if improvements have been carried out, or new functions have been integrated. Provided that a new version is available, it can be downloaded from the homepage in the download area. Before updating the web application on the Process Monitoring System, a Factory Reset must be performed to delete the current web application. Make sure the necessary update file (config.txt) is available. During a firmware update, the Process Monitoring System is restored to the factory setting. All settings such as IP configuration, event configuration, bus scan etc. must be performed again. If necessary, all settings must be noted in Setup prior to the update. Deleting the web application Proceed as follows to delete the web application: 1 Switch the Process Monitoring System off and wait five seconds. 2 Press the Service button, hold it pressed and switch the Process Monitoring System back on. 3 Hold the Service button pressed until the Power LED flashes. 4 Release the Service button and then press it again until the Power LED flashes rapidly. 5 Release the Service button, and the Process Monitoring System will then restart. Access to the Process Monitoring System websites is now no longer possible! The web application has been deleted. Loading the web application To upload a new web application to the Process Monitoring System, proceed as follows: 1 Switch the Process Monitoring System off. 2 Remove the SD memory card. 3 Copy the new web application "config.txt" to the SD memory card (no subdirectory, write protection inactive). 4 Insert the SD memory card with the config.txt file into the Process Monitoring System. 5 Switch the Process Monitoring System on. The Process Monitoring System now performs a restart and reads in the new configuration/web application. This process takes approx. 3 to 4 minutes. There must be no power failure, and the Process Monitoring System must not be switched off while the update is running. During the update, the Signal LED is flashing. When the process has been completed, the Process Monitoring System makes a bleeping noise and performs a restart. The Process Monitoring System has now been restored to the factory settings and must be re-configured (IP Settings, Bus scan, etc.). 6 Please delete after the successful update the config.txt file. (see "Deleting the web application" ) The Process Monitoring System internally stored web app. version must be deleted to perform a repetitive update (with the same webapplication). Proceed as follows : 1 Download the zip file " CONF-DEF.ZIP " from our homepage. 2 Unzip the file " CONF-DEF.ZIP ". 3 Rename the extracted file " CONF_DEF.TXT " to " config.txt ". 4 Copy (renamed file) "config.txt" to a FAT16- or FAT32-formatted SD memory card. 5 Switch the Process Monitoring System off. 6 Insert the SD card into the SD slot of the process monitoring system. 7 Switch the Process Monitoring System on. The following operation is performed : After restarting the version of the web application will be deleted, while the Active LED is red and the signal LED flashes red. The procedure is launched when the PMS will beep and the Active LED is green again. (About 20 sec.)
