Gemeinsam mit unseren Kunden erarbeiten wir die Grundlagen und Anforderungen des jeweiligen Projektes im Hinblick auf Material, Produktionsprozesse, Transport-, Installations- und Umweltbedingungen. Anschließend ist die Realisierung des Projektes in fünf grundlegende Entwicklungsschritte gegliedert: 1. Die Konzeptstudie Verschiedene technische Konzepte werden miteinander verglichen. In enger Kooperation mit dem Kunden analysieren wir die Anforderungen und die möglichen Vorgehensweisen, um die optimale Lösung zu finden. 2. Design Phase I Es werden erste Lastfallberechnungen durchgeführt und die Details der Hauptkomponenten ausgearbeitet. In dieser Phase werden außerdem Gespräche mit den Lieferanten zu den technischen Spezifikationen geführt, Strukturbauteile berechnet und eine erste Konstruktion der Maschinenkomponenten erstellt. Die Rotorblatt- und Turmauslegung, Finite-Elemente-Analyse (FEA) von Nabe und Maschinenträger sind Teil dieses Prozesses. Zum Abschluss dieser Entwicklungsstufe folgen ein gemeinsames Design Review mit dem Kunden und die Auswahl der Lieferanten. 3. Design Phase II Die Berechnungen der Lastfälle und Strukturbauteile werden abgeschlossen und die Lieferanten der einzelnen Komponenten erstellen die nötigen Dokumentationen. Anhand der ausgewählten Bestandteile erstellt aerodyn die elektrischen Schaltpläne. Ein weiteres Design Review mit dem Kunden als auch die Dokumentation der Ergebnisse beenden die dritte Phase. 4. Prüfung und Zertifizierung Wir betreuen die Prüfung der intern erstellten Dokumentationen sowie die Berechnung durch die Zertifizierungsstelle. Die Betreuung der Überprüfung von extern erstellten Dokumentationen obliegt den Komponentenlieferanten. Infolge einer erfolgreichen Prüfung aller Dokumente erstellt die Zertifizierungsstelle einen A-Design Assessment Report. 5. Prototyp und Inbetriebnahme aerodyn begleitet und unterstützt den Kunden bei der Realisierung des Designs, der Hallenmontage der Prototypen und der Halleninbetriebnahme. Das Projekt wird mit der endgültigen Inbetriebnahme am Standort fertiggestellt.

19 19 Product Development aerodyn handles both the development of entire wind energy converters as well as individual components. Together with our clients we determine the specifications and requirements of the respective project with regard to materials and production processes as well as transport, installation and environmental conditions. The project realisation is then divided into five basic development steps: 1. The Concept Study Different technical concepts are compared with each other. We analyse the requirements and the possible steps to take to find the optimal solution in close cooperation with our customers. 2. Design Phase I The initial load case calculations are carried out and the details of the primary components are determined. In addition, the technical specifications are clarified with the suppliers, structural components are calculated and an initial design of the machine components is created during this step. The rotor blade and tower design as well as the finite element analysis (FEA) of the hub and main frame are a part of this process. A design review is conducted together with the customer and the suppliers are selected at the end of this phase. 3. Design Phase II The calculations of the load cases and structural components are finalised and the suppliers of the individual components produce the required documentation. aerodyn creates electrical circuit diagrams on the basis of the selected components. Another design review with the customer as well as the documentation of the results conclude the third phase. 4. Testing and Certification We oversee the inspection of the documentation produced in-house as well as the calculation by the certification body. The component suppliers are responsible for assisting with the inspection of externally produced documentation. Once all of the documents have successfully passed the inspection then the certification body will create an A-Design Assessment Report. 5. Prototype and Commissioning aerodyn assists and supports its customers with the realisation of the design, the shop assembly of the prototypes and the shop commissioning. The project is concluded with the final commissioning on site.

Um die langfristige Betriebssicherheit der Anlage zu gewährleisten, ist es notwendig, diese Belastungen im Einzelnen zu ermitteln und bei der Entwicklung mit einzukalkulieren. Turbulenzen oder gar Eisansatz an den Rotorblättern und der Wellengang bei Offshore-Anlagen sind nur ein Teil der Faktoren, die buchstäblich an die Substanz einer WEA gehen. Basierend auf den neuesten empirischen Erkenntnissen in der Aerodynamik und des Materialverhaltens bei hohen Lastwechselzahlen, werden unterschiedliche mathematische Modelle zur realistischen Berechnung der Belastungsverhältnisse eingesetzt. Die Ergebnisse bilden anschließend die Grundlage für die Strukturdimensionierung der Bauteile. Load Case Analysis A wind turbine is constantly subject to different dynamic loads that place a high amount of strain and stress on the structure and materials. In order to ensure the longterm operational reliability of the turbine it is necessary to determine these individual loads and to take them into account for the development. Turbulence or even ice formation on the rotor blades and waves with offshore turbines are only some of the factors that literally attack the substance of a turbine. Different mathematical models for realistically calculating the load conditions are used based on the latest empirical findings in aerodynamics and material behaviour during high frequencies of load changes. The results then form the basis for the structural dimensioning of the components.

Eine Optimierung des Blattes hat daher direkte Auswirkungen auf die Wirtschaftlichkeit der WEA. Die Profilgebung, Verwindungsund Tiefenverteilung charakterisieren die äußere Geome t rie. Sie sind also bei der Auslegung von großer Wichtigkeit. Nachdem die äußere Kontur bestimmt und die Lasten definiert sind, wird die lasttragende Struktur festgelegt. Selbstverständlich liefert aerodyn alle nötigen Informationen für den Bau des Urmodells, der Negativform sowie der Blätter selbst. Gern begleiten und überwachen wir den Bau des Prototyps und den statischen Blatttest. Rotor Blade Design The performance and energy yield of a wind turbine are significantly dependent upon the aerodynamic design of its rotor blades. Optimisation of the blades therefore directly affects the efficiency of the wind turbine. The blade geometry is characterised by the aerodynamic profile as well as the twist and depth distribution. These aspects are therefore very important to the design. After the outer contour has been determined and the loads have been defined then the load-bearing structure is designed. Naturally aerodyn supplies all of the information required for the construction of the master plug, the main mould and the blades themselves. We will be glad to assist and supervise the construction of the prototype and the static blade test.
