8 Schulbibliothekarische Arbeitsstelle (sba) sba = School Library Department of Frankfurt City Library sba = established in 1974 sba = 65 school libraries (2007) sba = Library services for all 165 schools sba = sba = 20 staff members and 120 volunteers basis of the Frankfurt am Main municipal library system

9 Organization City of Frankfurt City Library School Authority School Library Services are a joint venture between the Supervisory School Authority and Frankfurt City Library

11 sba aims at a supply of media which h is sufficient i in numbers and actuality and which is easy to search for aims furthermore at securing unrestricted access to the library, sufficient opening hours, suitable equipment for students and competent contact persons in the libraries aims to reduce the workload in the school libraries aims to create structures which ensure sustainability

14 Budget We allocate budgets to school libraries every six months

15 Media Collection Information Service Selection of 1500 titles that are relevant for school libraries every six months in indexes for Elementary School, Middle School, High School, Nonbooks, and for special topics

Dezember 2003 an dem Fortbildungsseminar Grundwissen Schulbibliothek Einführungskurs für ehrenamtliche Mitarbeiter/innen in Schulbibliotheken der Stadtbücherei Frankfurt am Main teilgenommen. Der Kurs umfasst 30 Stunden. Referentinnen: Eva v.
