3 This document provides setup and general information for this OEM version of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and Service Pack1 installation/uninstallation procedure. NOTE: Service Pack 1 of SQL Server 2005 is intended for use only on the Dell platforms listed in "System Requirements." NOTE: SQL Server 2005 SP1 is not shipped along with the OEM CD kit. 4 Table 1-1 lists the OEM versions of SQL Server 2005 and the supported operating systems. Table 1-1. System Requirements Component Requirement Memory (RAM) MB minimum (1 GB or more recommended) NOTE: If you are installing the operating system on an EM64T system, a maximum of 32 terabytes of memory is allowed. Hard disk space 2 Approximately 1.6 GB of available hard disk space for full installation; 390 MB for sample databases Monitor VGA or higher resolution Pointing device Microsoft mouse or compatible pointing device DVD drive Required 1 Additional memory may be required, depending on operating system requirements. 2 Actual requirements will vary based on your system configuration and the applications and features you choose to install. 4 Setup and Installation Guide

5 Installing SQL Server 2005 Preparing for Installation Before installing SQL Server 2005, perform the following steps: 1 Ensure that the system meets the requirements described in "System Requirements" 2 If you have another instance of SQL Server already installed on your system, back up this instance before you proceed. 3 Log on as an administrator. 4 Enable the Internet Information Services (IIS) with the following procedure: a Click Start Settings Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs. The Add or Remove Windows Components screen appears. b c d e f From the left window pane, select Add/Remove Windows Components. The Windows Components Wizard screen appears. Select Application Server, and then click Details. Select Internet Information Services, and then click OK. The Windows Components Wizard screen appears. Click Next. The Configuring Components screen appears. When prompted, insert the Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 CD into your CD drive, and click OK. The Completing the Windows Component Wizard screen appears. g Click Finish. 5 Shut down all services dependent on SQL Server, including any service using Open DataBase Connectivity (ODBC), such as Microsoft IIS. 6 Uninstall all incompatible SQL components from your system. 6 Installing SQL Server Log on as an administrator (if required). 2 Insert the first Microsoft SQL Server 2005 CD into your CD drive. 3 Start the installation process by performing one of the following procedures: If the CD starts automatically, click Server components, tools, Books Online, and samples on the initial CD screen. If the CD does not start automatically, select Start Settings Control Panel, double-click on Add or Remove Programs and make the appropriate selections to run setup.bat from the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 CD. The End User License Agreement screen appears. 4 If you agree to the terms in the User License Agreement, click Next. The Installing Prerequisites screen appears. 5 Click Install. The system installs the required software components. 6 Click Next. The System Configuration Check screen appears. The installation software scans your system, and then the Welcome to the Microsoft SQL Server Installation Wizard screen appears. 7 Click Next. The System Configuration Check screen appears. 8 Click Next. The Registration Information screen appears. 9 Type the name, company name, and the 25-character Product Key in the appropriate fields, and then click Next. NOTE: You must type a name in the Name field. Typing a name in the Company field is optional. The Components to Install screen appears. 6 Setup and Installation Guide

7 10 Select the components that you want to install or upgrade, and then click Next. The Instance Name screen appears. 11 Select the appropriate instance option, and then click Next. NOTE: Select the Default instance option to upgrade to an existing default instance, or select the Named instance option to upgrade to an existing named instance. If you select the Named instance option, you must enter a name. The Service Account screen appears. 12 Accept the default settings or customize the service accounts and start Services. NOTE: If you select the Use a domain user account option, you must enter a username, password, and domain. The Authentication Mode window appears. 13 Accept the default selection Windows Authentication Mode or select Mixed Mode, and then click Next. The Collation Settings screen appears. 14 Select the collation settings for you system, and then click Next. NOTE: For compatibility with previous versions of SQL Server, select the SQL collations option. NOTE: If you are installing the Reporting Services component, the Report Server Installation Options screen appears. Select the appropriate report installation option, and then click Next. The Error and Usage Report Settings screen appears. 15 Select the appropriate error and reporting options, and then click Next. The Ready to Install screen appears with a list of software components that will be installed on your system. 16 Click Install. The Setup Progress window appears and the file copy process starts. If the system does not prompt you to insert the second Microsoft SQL Server 2005 CD into the CD drive, go to step 18. Setup and Installation Guide 7

8 17 Insert the second Microsoft SQL Server 2005 CD, into your CD drive, and then click OK. The file copy process continues. 18 When prompted, click Next. The Completing Microsoft SQL Server 2005 window appears. 19 Click Finish to complete the installation. Verifying the Installation 1 Restart your system. 2 Navigate to the Server Configuration Manager. 3 Stop, and then start SQL Server Services. NOTE: By default, SQL Server 2005 starts automatically when you boot your system.to prevent SQL Server 2005 from starting during system boot, reconfigure the appropriate settings in Configuration Manager. Uninstalling SQL Server 2005 Perform the following steps in the exact order to uninstall SQL Server 2005: 1 Log on as an administrator. 2 Click Start, select Settings Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs. 3 Select Microsoft SQL Server 2005, and then click Remove. The Component Selection screen appears. 4 Select the components you want to remove, and then click Next. The Confirmation screen appears. 5 Click Finish to proceed. The System Configuration Check screen appears. Next, the Setup Progress screen appears and the uninstall process begins. 9 Installing SP1 for SQL 2005 NOTE: SQL Server 2005 SP1 is not shipped along with the OEM CD kit. You have to download the service pack from the following website Stop all the applications and services that make connections to the instances of SQL server being upgraded, including SQL Server Management Studio, Business Intelligence Development Studio, Control Panel, and Add and Remove Programs, before installing SP1. Double click the executable file that has been downloaded from the Microsoft web site. The Welcome Screen appears. This screen shows the list of features for which SP1 provides updates. Click Next to continue. The End User License Agreement appears. If you agree to the terms in the user license, click Next. The Feature Selection screen appears. Select the program features that you would like to update and click Next. The Authentication screen appears. Select appropriate authentication mode that the setup should use to connect to the SQL server and click Next. The Ready to Install screen appears. Click Install and file copy starts. Click Next on the installation progress windows. Click Finish to complete installation. Uninstalling SP1 To Uninstall the SQL Server 2005 SP1, follow the instructions provided in Microsoft documentation located at ac6a-f6173f58d80e/readmesql2005sp1.htm#_1463_uninstalling_sql_ server_2005_sp1_fzpy Setup and Installation Guide 9

10 Microsoft Hotfixes For more information about this product,hotfixes and reference information, refer to the Microsoft website support.microsoft.com. The SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) service does not start when you install SQL Server 2005 SP1 on a computer that is already running the SSIS service. For more information, refer to the KB# at support.microsoft.com/kb/ Getting Help Technical information is available from the Dell Support website at support.dell.com. 15 Installation de SQL Server 2005 Préparation de l'installation Avant d'installer SQL Server 2005, effectuez la procédure suivante : 1 Assurez-vous que la configuration du système est conforme à la description de la section Configuration système requise. 2 Si une instance de SQL Server est déjà installée sur le système, sauvegardez-la avant de continuer. 3 Connectez-vous en tant qu'administrateur. 4 Activez les services IIS (Internet Information Services) en procédant comme suit : a Cliquez sur Démarrer Paramètres Panneau de configuration, puis double-cliquez sur Ajout/Suppression de programmes. L'écran Ajouter/Supprimer des composants Windows s'affiche. b c d e Dans le volet de gauche, sélectionnez Ajouter/Supprimer des composants Windows. L'écran Assistant Composants de Windows s'affiche. Sélectionnez Serveur d'applications et cliquez sur Détails. Cliquez sur Services Internet (IIS), puis de nouveau sur OK. L'écran Assistant Composants de Windows s'affiche. Cliquez sur Suivant. L'écran Configuration des composants s'affiche. f Lorsque vous y êtes invité, insérez le CD Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 dans le lecteur, puis cliquez sur OK. L'écran Fin de l'assistant Composants de Windows s'affiche. g Cliquez sur Terminer. 5 Arrêtez tous les services dépendant de SQL Server, y compris ceux utilisant ODBC (Open DataBase Connectivity) : services IIS Microsoft, etc. 6 Désinstallez tous les composants SQL incompatibles du système. 16 Installation de SQL Server Connectez-vous en tant qu'administrateur, le cas échéant. 2 Insérez le premier CD de Microsoft SQL Server 2005 dans le lecteur. 3 Lancez l'installation à l'aide de l'une des méthodes suivantes : Si le CD démarre automatiquement, dans l'écran initial, cliquez sur l'option permettant d'installer les composants du serveur, les outils, la documentation en ligne et les exemples. Si le CD ne démarre pas automatiquement, cliquez sur Démarrer Paramètres Panneau de configuration. Doublecliquez sur Ajout/Suppression de programmes et effectuez les sélections appropriées pour exécuter le fichier setup.bat à partir du CD Microsoft SQL Server La fenêtre Contrat de licence utilisateur final s'affiche. 4 Si vous acceptez les termes du contrat, cliquez sur Suivant. L'écran d'installation apparaît. 5 Cliquez sur Installer. Le système installe les composants logiciels requis. 6 Cliquez sur Suivant. Un écran s'affiche pour indiquer que la configuration du système est en cours de vérification. Le programme d'installation analyse le système, puis la fenêtre de bienvenue de l'assistant d'installation de Microsoft SQL Server s'affiche. 7 Cliquez sur Suivant. Un écran s'affiche pour indiquer que la configuration du système est en cours de vérification. 8 Cliquez sur Suivant. 17 9 Complétez les champs appropriés en saisissant votre nom et celui de la société, puis la clé du produit (25 caractères). Cliquez sur Suivant. REMARQUE : le champ Nom doit être renseignée, tandis que le champ Société est facultatif. L'écran Composants à installer s'affiche. 10 Sélectionnez les composants à installer ou à mettre à niveau, puis cliquez sur Suivant. L'écran Nom de l'instance s'affiche. 11 Sélectionnez l'instance appropriée et cliquez sur Suivant. REMARQUE : sélectionnez l'option Instance par défaut ou Instance nommée, selon que vous souhaitez effectuer la mise à niveau vers une instance par défaut ou une instance nommée existante. Si vous sélectionnez Instance nommée, vous devez entrer un nom. L'écran Compte de services s'affiche. 12 Acceptez les paramètres par défaut ou modifiez-les et démarrez les services. REMARQUE : si vous sélectionnez Utiliser un compte d'utilisateur de domaine, vous devez entrer un nom d'utilisateur, un mot de passe et un domaine. La fenêtre Mode d'authentification s'affiche. 13 Acceptez la sélection par défaut (Mode d'authentification de Windows) ou sélectionnez Mode mixte et cliquez sur Suivant. L'écran Paramètres de classement s'affiche. 14 Sélectionnez les paramètres de classement du système et cliquez sur Suivant. REMARQUE : pour bénéficier de la compatibilité avec les versions précédentes de SQL Server, sélectionnez Classements SQL. REMARQUE : si vous installez le composant Services de rapport, l'écran présentant les options d'installation du serveur de rapports s'affiche. Sélectionnez l'option appropriée et cliquez sur Suivant. L'écran permettant de définir les paramètres des rapports d'utilisation et des rapports d'erreur s'affiche. Guide d'installation et de configuration 17

18 15 Sélectionnez les options appropriées et cliquez sur Suivant. L'écran Prêt pour l'installation répertorie la liste des composants logiciels à installer. 16 Cliquez sur Installer. La fenêtre Installation en cours s'affiche et la copie des fichiers commence. Si le système ne vous demande pas d'insérer le second CD Microsoft SQL Server 2005 dans le lecteur, passez à l'étape Insérez le second CD Microsoft SQL Server 2005 dans le lecteur et cliquez sur OK. La copie des fichiers se poursuit. 18 Lorsque vous y êtes invité, cliquez sur Suivant. La fenêtre indiquant que l'installation est terminée s'affiche. 19 Cliquez sur Terminer. Vérification de l'installation 1 Redémarrez le système. 2 Accédez au gestionnaire de configuration du serveur. 3 Arrêtez les services SQL Server, puis redémarrez-les. REMARQUE : par défaut, SQL Server 2005 est lancé automatiquement au démarrage du système. Pour modifier ce paramètre, utilisez le gestionnaire de configuration. Désinstallation de SQL Server 2005 Pour désinstaller SQL Server 2005, effectuez les opérations suivantes, dans cet ordre : 1 Connectez-vous en tant qu'administrateur. 2 Cliquez sur Démarrer, sélectionnez Paramètres Panneau de configuration, puis double-cliquez sur Ajout/Suppression de programmes. 3 Sélectionnez Microsoft SQL Server 2005 et cliquez sur Supprimer. 19 4 Sélectionnez les composants à supprimer et cliquez sur Suivant. L'écran Confirmation s'affiche. 5 Cliquez sur Terminer. Un écran s'affiche pour indiquer que la configuration du système est en cours de vérification. La fenêtre Installation en cours s'affiche et la désinstallation se poursuit. Une fois celle-ci terminée, l'écran Ajouter ou supprimer des programmes s'affiche. Installation du Service Pack 1 de SQL Server 2005 REMARQUE : le Service Pack 1 de SQL Server 2005 n'est pas fourni avec le kit de CD OEM. Il doit être téléchargé à partir du site suivant : Avant d'installer le SP1, arrêtez tous les services et applications établissant une connexion avec les instances de SQL Server en cours de mise à niveau, y compris SQL Server Management Studio, Business Intelligence Development Studio, le Panneau de configuration et l'applet Ajout/Suppression de programmes. Double-cliquez sur le fichier exécutable téléchargé à partir du site Web de Microsoft. L'écran de bienvenue s'affiche. Cette fenêtre répertorie les fonctions pour lesquelles le SP1 contient une mise à jour. Cliquez sur Suivant pour continuer. La fenêtre Contrat de licence utilisateur final s'affiche. Si vous acceptez les termes du contrat, cliquez sur Suivant. L'écran Sélection de fonctionnalité s'affiche. Sélectionnez les fonctionnalités à mettre à jour et cliquez sur Suivant. L'écran Authentification s'affiche. Sélectionnez le mode d'authentification que le programme d'installation devra utiliser pour la connexion à SQL Server, puis cliquez sur Suivant. 20 L'écran Prêt pour l'installation s'affiche. Cliquez sur Installer pour démarrer la copie des fichiers. Cliquez sur Suivant dans les fenêtres de progression. Cliquez sur Terminer pour achever l'installation. 27 Installation von SQL Server 2005 Vorbereiten der Installation Führen Sie vor dem Installieren von SQL Server 2005 die folgenden Schritte durch: 1 Stellen Sie sicher, dass das System die unter Systemanforderungen beschriebenen Anforderungen erfüllt. 2 Wenn auf dem System bereits eine andere Instanz von SQL Server installiert ist, erstellen Sie vor dem Fortfahren eine Sicherungskopie dieser Instanz. 3 Melden Sie sich als Administrator an. 4 Aktivieren Sie die Internet Information Services (IIS) wie folgt: a b c d e f g Wählen Sie Start Einstellungen Systemsteuerung, und doppelklicken Sie dann auf Software. Das Fenster Software wird angezeigt. Klicken Sie im linken Fensterbereich auf Windows-Komponenten hinzufügen/entfernen. Das Fenster Windows Components Wizard (Assistent für Windows-Komponenten) wird angezeigt. Wählen Sie Application Server (Anwendungsserver) und klicken Sie dann auf Details. Wählen Sie Internet Information Services, und klicken Sie dann auf OK. Das Fenster Assistent für Windows-Komponenten wird angezeigt. Klicken Sie auf Weiter. Das Fenster Komponenten werden konfiguriert wird angezeigt. Legen Sie bei Aufforderung die Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1-CD ein und klicken Sie auf OK. 28 5 Beenden sie alle von SQL Server abhängigen Dienste, einschließlich aller Dienste, die ODBC (Open DataBase Connectivity ) verwenden, etwa Microsoft IIS. 6 Deinstallieren Sie alle inkompatiblen SQL-Komponenten vom System. Installation von SQL Server Melden Sie sich gegebenenfalls als Administrator an. 2 Legen Sie die erste Microsoft SQL Server 2005-CD ein. 3 Starten Sie den Installationsvorgang auf eine der folgenden Weisen: Wenn die CD automatische gestartet wird, klicken Sie auf Server components, tools, Books Online, and samples (Serverkomponenten, Tools, Online-Handbücher und Beispiele) auf dem CD-Startbildschirm. Das Fenster End-User License Agreement (Endbenutzer- Lizenzvertrag) wird angezeigt. 4 Wenn Sie mit den Bedingungen des Lizenzvertrags einverstanden sind, klicken Sie auf Weiter. Der Bildschirm Installing Prerequisites (Vorbereiten der Installation) wird angezeigt. 5 Klicken Sie auf Install (Installieren). Die erforderlichen Softwarekomponenten werden installiert. 6 Klicken Sie auf Weiter. Das Fenster System Configuration Check (Überprüfen der Systemkonfiguration) wird angezeigt.
