2 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung Der Infrarotsensor erfaßt Wärmestrahlung von Objekten und meldet sie durch ein Schaltsignal. Einsatz zur Objekterkennung oder Temperaturüberwachung. Schalttemperatur 500 C/900 C (je nach Geräteausführung). Montage Montieren Sie den Elektronikteil außerhalb des Heißbereiches. Zur einfachen Montage ist ein Montagefuß (Bestell-Nr. E06) erhältlich. Bringen Sie die Fiberoptik im erforderlichen Abtastabstand im Heißbereich (max. 50 C) an. Verwenden Sie zur Vergrößerung des Abtastabstandes und Präzisierung des Schaltpunktes als Zubehör erhältliche Aufstecklinsen. Das Objekt muß mindestens die Schalttemperatur des Sensors haben und es muß den Abtastdurchmesser des Sensors ausfüllen. Der Abtatsdurchmesser hängt ab von Öffnungswinkel und Abtastabstand. Achtung! Die Objekttemperatur sollte deshalb deutlich über der Schalttemperatur des Sensors liegen. Elektrischer Anschluß Schalten Sie die Anlage spannungsfrei und schließen Sie das Gerät folgendermaßen an. 4 Hinweis: Miniatur-Sicherung gemäß technischem Datenblatt einsetzen, falls dort angegeben. Empfehlung: Nach einem Kurzschluss das Gerät auf sichere Funktion prüfen. Adernfarben bei ifm-kabeldosen: BN = braun, BU = blau, BK = schwarz, GN/YE = grün/gelb. *Ausgang nicht kurzschlußfest. Kurzschluß kann zur sofortigen Zerstörung des Gerätes führen. Austausch der Fiberoptik Entfernen Sie die Überwurfmutter und Unterlegscheibe. ösen Sie die Gummidichtung vorsichtig aus dem Gewindestutzen. Entfernen Sie die defekte Fiberoptik. Schieben Sie die mitgelieferte neue Überwurfmutter, Unterlegscheibe, und Dichtung über die Ersatzfiberoptik. Führen Sie die Ersatzfiberoptik bis zum Anschlag in die dafür vorgesehene Öffnung des Elektronikteils ein. Drücken Sie die Dichtung in den Gewindestutzen. Sichern Sie durch festdrehen der Überwurfmutter die Ersatzfiberoptik. Betrieb Prüfen Sie, ob das Gerät sicher funktioniert. Setzen Sie Geräte mit höherer Schalttemperatur ein, falls im praktischem Betrieb Fehlschaltungen durch Hintergrundstrahlung auftreten.

5 Function and features Infrared heat sensors absorb the heat radiation of objects and convert it into a switching signal. They are used for object detection or temperature monitoring. Switching temperature 500 C/900 C (depending on the type of unit). Installation Mount the switching amplifier outside the hot area (ambient temperature max. 60 C). A special mounting base is available as accessory (order no. E06) for simple mounting. Mount the fibre optics in the hot area (max. 50 C) in the required sensing distance. Use a lens attachment to extend the distance and to set the switch point more accurately (available as accesssory). The object must at least have the switching temperature of the sensor and must cover the visible area which depends on the chosen angle of aperture and sensing distance. Notice! The temperature of the object should therefore be much higher than the switching temperature of the sensor. Electrical connection Disconnect power, then connect the unit according to the wiring diagram DC PNP DC NPN AC/DC* N 6

7 Note: insert a miniature fuse according to the technical data sheet, if specified. Recommendation: check the unit for reliable function after a short cirucit Core colours of ifm sockets: BN = brown, BU = blue, BK = black, GN/YE = green/yellow. *Output not short-circuit protected. Short circuit can lead to immediate destruction of the unit. Replacement of fibre optics Remove the nut and washer. Carefully remove the rubber packing from the connection piece. Remove the faulty fibre optics. Slide the supplied new nut, washer, packing onto the replacement fibre optics. Insert the replacement fibre optics until the end into the hole of the switching amplifier provided for this. Press the packing into the connection piece. Secure the replacement fibre optics by tightening the nut. Operation Check the safe functioning of the sensor. If in the application wrong switching occurs due to background radiation (e.g. ovens), use units with higher switching temperatures. 7

Montage Monter l'amplificateur en dehors de la zone chaude (température ambiante maxi 60 C). Un socle de montage est disponible en accessoire (référence E06). Installer la fibre optique (voir formule) dans la zone chaude (maxi. 50 C). Pour cette raison la température de l'objet doit être nettement supérieure à la température de commutation du détecteur. Raccordement électrique Mettre l'installation hors tension et raccorder l'appareil selon le schéma de branchement. DC PNP DC NPN AC/DC* N 9

10 Remarque : insérer un fusible miniature selon la fiche technique, si spécifié. Recommandation : vérifier le bon fonctionnement de l'appareil après un court-circuit. Couleurs des fils conducteurs: BN = brun, BU = bleu, BK = noir, GN/YE = vert/jaune. *Sortie: non protégée contre les courts-circuits. Un court-circuit peut détruire l'appareil immédiatement. Remplacement de la fibre optique Enlever l'écrou et la rondelle. Enlever précautionneusement le joint caoutchouc. Enlever la fibre optique défectueuse. Faire glisser l'écrou, la rondelle, le joint sur la nouvelle fibre optique. Enfoncer la nouvelle fibre optique dans l'embase de l'amplificateur. Remettre le joint d'étanchéité. Fixer la nouvelle fibre à l'aide de l'ecrou. Fonctionnement Véifier le bon fonctionnement du détecteur. Si dans l'application un mauvais fonctionnement se prodiut en raison d'un rayonnement de l'arrière-plan, des appareils avec une température de commutation plus haute doivent être utilisés. 0
