22 Besondere Empfehlungen Anwendung im hohen Alkalibereich Für Anwendungen im hohen Alkalibereich wie beispielsweise Silikatund Silikonfarben oder Putze in der Bauindustrie empfehlen wir ausschließlich den Einsatz anorganischer präparationen. Holzlasuren Für das Einfärben von Holzlasuren empfehlen wir besonders unsere transparenten Eisenoxide Gelb 1916 und Rot 2817 und Braun 291 in Kombination mit Schwarz 0060/0061/0066. Solares Wärmemanagement Zur optimalen Ausnutzung der Möglichkeiten des solaren Wärmemanagements empfehlen wir Ihnen den Einsatz von Schwarz 009. Dieses Produkt kann sowohl allein oder in Rezepturen mit unserem großen Sortiment anorganischer präparationen eingesetzt werden. Hierbei wird Schwarz 009 als Ersatz von Black 7 in Ihrem Rezept eingesetzt, wobei die Oberflächentemparatur durch die Reflektion der Sonnenstrahlung deutlich gesenkt wird.

23 Special recommendations High-pH applications For high ph applications as for example silicate paints, SRE s (silicone resin emulsions) or other coatings (e.g., plaster) for the construction market, we recommend only the use of our preparations based on inorganic pigments. Wood glazes For the coloration of wood glazes we especially recommend our transparent iron oxides 1916, Red 2817 and Brown 291 in combination with Luconyl NG Black 0060/0061/0066. Heat management To offer the optimum in heat management capabilities we recommend the use of Black 009 either alone or in combination with the broad range of inorganic products within the new enhanced range of pigment preparations. Utilizing Black 009 as a replacement for carbon black within your formulation, heat and total solar reflectance (TSR) can be significantly improved.

Aufhellverhältnis Bewertet bei 1/3 und 1/2 Standardfarbtiefe. Das Aufhellverhältnis wird mit dem FIAF-Programm errechnet (DIN 986). Es beschreibt, wie viele Teile Titandioxid mit einem Teil Farbpigment gemischt werden müssen, um 1/3 oder 1/2 Standardfarbtiefe zu erhalten. Je höher das Aufhellverhältnis, desto größer ist die Farbstärke. Wetterechtheit Die Wetterechtheiten der Präparationen für Vollton, 1/3 Standardfarbtiefe und 1/2 Standardfarbtiefe wurden von den Wetterechtheiten der jeweiligen e übernommen. Farbtonänderungen wurden gemäß Grauskala (DIN EN 2010-A02) bewertet. Alkali- und Säurestabilität Im allgemeinen weisen e, die für verwendet werden, eine gute Alkali- und Säurestabilität auf. Für die Anwendung im hohen ph-bereich (z.b. Silikatfarben, Masseeinfärbung von Beton, etc.) empfehlen wir besonders die Verwendung der Marken, die auf anorganischen en aufbauen. März 2011

25 Explanation of data Applications The applications are divided into interior applications, facade coatings, silicate/silicone/stucco and wood coatings. The following symbol indicates the applications for which the individual grades are particularly recommended. = major use The indication of major use does not mean that the respective grades may not be used for other applications. Reduction ratio Evaluated at 1/3 and 1/2 standard depth of shade. The reduction ratio is evaluated by the FIAF program (DIN 986). It indicates how many parts of titanium dioxide have to be mixed with 1 part of color pigment to obtain 1/3 or 1/2 standard depth of shade. The higher the reduction ratio the greater the color strength. Fastness to weathering Full shade, 1/3 standard depth of shade and 1/2 standard depth of shade values for were taken over from weather fastness results of the respective pigments. Color change was evaluated according to the gray scale (DIN EN 2010-A02). Alkali and acid fastness Most of the pigments on which are based exhibit good fastness to acid and alkali. Dealing with high-ph (e.g., silicate coatings, mass coloration of concrete) we recommend the use of grades based on inorganic pigments. March 2011
