3 Informationen zu SNB Statistiken Oktober 006 Zahlungsbilanz im zweiten Quartal 006 Das anhaltend kräftige Wirtschaftswachstum prägte auch im zweiten Quartal die Entwicklung der Zahlungsbilanz. Höhere Zinssätze und Gewinnsteigerungen der Unternehmen führten erneut zu einer Zunahme der Kapitalerträge. Die Börsenumsätze lagen deutlich über dem Vorjahresniveau, was dem Kommissionsgeschäft der Banken zugute kam. Der Überschuss der Ertragsbilanz erreichte mit 9 Mrd. Franken den hohen Wert des Vorjahresquartals. Der Warenhandel und die Dienstleistungen expandierten innert Jahresfrist stark. Im Kapitalverkehr waren die Nettoexporte mit 6 Mrd. Franken bedeutend höher als vor einem Jahr ( Mrd. Franken). Damals hatte der Abbau der Währungsreserven der SNB zu hohen Kapitalimporten geführt und damit den Saldo des Kapitalverkehrs gedrückt. Das Volumen der Direktinvestitionen verharrte insgesamt auf dem Niveau des Vorjahres. Bei den Portfolioinvestitionen gingen sowohl die Anlagen von Inländern in ausländische Wertschriften als auch jene des Auslandes in schweizerische Titel zurück. 4 Information on SNB statistics October 006 Balance of payments in the second quarter of 006 The balance of payments in the second quarter of 006 again reflected the continued strong growth in the economy. Once again, higher rates of interest and increased corporate profits resulted in advances in investment income. Stock market turnover was substantially above the year-back quarter, which supported bank receipts from financial services. At CHF 9 billion, the current account surplus attained the high level recorded in the year-back quarter. The trade in goods and services grew substantially within the course of the year. In the financial account, net outflows were significantly higher, at CHF 6 billion, than a year previously (CHF billion). At that time, the SNB's reduction in reserve assets gave rise to a high level of capital inflows, exerting downward pressure on net outflows in the financial account. The total volume of direct investment remained at the previous year's level. With respect to portfolio investment, both investments by residents in foreign securities and those by non-residents in Swiss securities declined.
