3 Study Course: Objectives, Philosophy of Learning and Target Groups Main objectives: Academic Level of Dementia and Palliative Care Interdisciplinary studying Target audience of the study course: Professionals who seek academic level with and without academic graduation Philosophy of learning: Interdisciplinary and narrative approach Theoretical and practical approach Methodical Mix Experience-orientated learning

4 Subjects/Themes Coping with aging and dying in current society: palliative and hospice care in long term care, pictures of aging, autonomy and dignity, etc. Affected persons in relationships: person centred communication, gender, self care, culture of support, changing perspectives upon normality etc. Care for persons of advanced age in case of crisises: total pain, ethics, special challenges of care, parting and sorrow, hospice culture in old age care, palliative geriatrics, spiritual care etc. Organisational development and presentations of student-projects: reflection of small projects within the own professional structure and feedback from experts
