11 Projektbeispiel: Die Implementierung des Konzeptes zur operativen Steuerung auf S/4 HANA wird empfohlen Projektbeispiel Results of feasibility study Recommendation 5 reasons to implement concept for operational management on simple finance (sfin): 1) One single universal ledger serve all FI and CO requirements - account based profitability analysis is possible. 2) Inventory valuation: Stock of self-made goods can be evaluated at legal costs and at group costs. 3) Integrated and simplified planning is enabled. 4) Integrated, simplified and detailed (no pre-aggregated) reporting and increase of speed (real-time reporting) is achieved. 5) S/4 HANA (and therefore sfin) is future (SAP) standard - R/3 support is estimated to stop Furthermore it leverages self-learning systems (e.g. predictive analysis). Test of the companies customer developments: Major customer developments work on sfin with few adaptions. Critical issue: Account based profitability analysis is the prerequisite for identity of FI and CO. Therefore a detailed (and account based) view on group standard costs is required but the SAP solution is currently not working in S/4. Implementation of the new concept for operational management on S/4 HANA is recommended 11

Data transport from S/4 to BW is replaced by virtual access. Therefore real-time reporting is enabled, data quality rises and self-service is leveraged. A new reporting concept is required, considering e.g. landscape (one single BW), data access & security. To achieve advantages (e.g. realtime reporting, simplification, savings) business logic takes place on ERP level: As a consequence there are no data manipulation ( corrections ) in BW. All required reporting dimensions are posted directly on account level. 12
