4 English FlowLine Bipore Heparin Heparin-coated eptfe vascular prosthesis Product description FlowLine Bipore Heparin is a vascular prosthesis made of expanded Polytetrafluorethlyene (eptfe) and featuring a bioactive heparin surface treatment. The prosthesis comprises a single-layer prosthesis corpus with a thin eptfe mantle wound about it on the outside. The lumen surface of the FlowLine Bipore Heparin prosthesis is coated with highmolecular heparin (pig mucosa). This vascular prosthesis is available in the two wall thicknesses: thin wall and standard wall. In areas of potentially high levels of compression and bending pressure (interarticular and extraanatomical reconstruction), it is also available fitted with a removable external spiral reinforcement made of Polytetrafluorethlyene (PTFE). Four patient stickers are enclosed in the package for purposes of patient documentation. Indications The FlowLine Bipore Heparin is indicated in arterial reconstruction, primarily in peripheral blood vessels. It can also be used extraanatomically in femoro-femoral and axillo-femoral vascular reconstruction. The standard wall FlowLine Bipore Heparin prosthesis is also indicated as an arterio-venous shunt prosthesis in haemodialysis. 3

5 Contraindications The clinical data on record to date do not provide a sufficient basis for conclusions concerning the use of eptfe vascular prostheses in the following indications: English Reconstruction of the pulmonary arteries of the aorta ascendens of the coronary arteries of the carotid arteries (a. carotis communis, externa and interna) of the cerebral arteries of the arteria brachialis and cephalica of the cardiac and pulmonary veins as well as of the vena cava inferior and/or superior The FlowLine Bipore Heparin should also not be implanted in patients who show an immunological reaction to eptfe or who show a hypersensitive reaction to heparin (heparin allergy), including patients with HIT type II in their medical histories. Interactions with other medical drugs Administration of protamine influences the biocompatibility properties of heparinized surfaces. Administration of protamine should therefore not be carried out in the immediate vicinity of the coated prosthesis. Minimization of protamine treatments and staged dosing of protamine is recommended. Interactions with other medical drugs are unknown to date. 4

6 English Information and precautions Please remember that failure to comply with the following items may result in severe patient complications. 1. The FlowLine Bipore Heparin eptfe vascular prosthesis should only be implanted by persons trained in the surgical implantation technique required for the material eptfe. 2. Anticoagulation measures should not be reduced more than usual. 3. Preoperative diagnostics are recommended to detect any increase in risk of haemorrhaging in patients receiving oral anticoagulant therapy (e.g. acetylsalicylic acid, warfarin). 4. Do not use this product after the expiry date. Please consult your supplier in such cases. 5. The FlowLine Bipore Heparin eptfe prosthesis must not be resterilized. 6. The prosthesis must not be exposed to high levels of radiation, since such exposure causes eptfe to disintegrate. 7. Do not allow the prosthesis to come into contact with reagents containing oil, alcohol or aqueous solutions. Also, do not attempt to preclot the prosthesis. 8. Avoid excessive processing or manipulating of the prosthesis, since otherwise blood, serum or plasma could be pressed through the prosthesis wall. 9. Use atraumatic clamps with soft, cushioned ends. 10. Always use non-absorbable suture material. The suture seam on wessels should not measure than 2 mm on vessels. 5

7 11. Thin wall eptfe vascular prostheses cannot be recommended for extraanatomical, axillo-femoral vascular prosthetics, since there is a risk of anastomosis rupture under heavier stress loads. 12. FlowLine Bipore Heparin prostheses with a spiral reinforcement element over their entire length are not indicated for use as arterio-venous shunt prostheses. Do not puncture near the reinforcing element, spirally reinforced prostheses. Both of these uses would involve an increased risk of embolism and/or formation of pseudoaneurysms. 13. Do not use the prosthesis or parts thereof as a patch. The product is not designed so as to be suitable for indications other than those listed or to achieve good results in such indications. On the contrary, such use may lead to adverse events. The Jotec product range also includes eptfe patches and membranes (e.g. the Fluoro-Tex Cardiovascular Patch). Your supplier will be glad to provide further information on these products. Adverse events As with any implant, the prosthesis may become infected in situ and eventually require explantation. Maintenance of aseptic surgical conditions is therefore of utmost importance. Other potential complications include: formation of thromboses, puncture channel bleeding at the anastomosis, suture tear-out, elongation, seroma formation, formation of pseudoaneurysms and haematomas. If product is used as an arterio-venous shunt prosthesis: steal syndrome, dermal erosion. 6 English

8 English Implantation procedure In general, vascular prosthetic procedures should only be performed by surgeons familiar with the relevant specific implantation techniques. Please also comply with the following items in implantation of the FlowLine Bipore Heparin eptfe vascular prosthesis: Preparation: When opening the packaging, remember it is a doublelayer package with a sterile internal package. Only the internal container labelled STERILE may be brought into the sterile field. Touch the prosthesis with sterile, unpowdered gloves only, use no pointed objects and only atraumatic vascular clamps. When selecting the prosthesis diameter, make sure it corresponds as precisely as possible to the lumen of the original vessel. Before cutting the prosthesis to size, remove a suitably long piece of the external spiral reinforcement at each end. Use your fingers or an atraumatic instrument to grip the end of the spiral and slowly and carefully unwind the spiral reinforcement element at a 90 angle to the prosthesis. Cut the prosthesis to size with a sharp scissors or a scalpel. Since eptfe has no lengthwise elasticity, make sure you select the right length. The factors that must be considered in this selection include the patient s postural position, his body weight and complete freedom of movement of the extremity or extremities involved. Cutting the prosthesis too short may result in stretched suture holes and, finally, puncture channel bleeding. On the other hand, a prosthesis that is too long may lead to buckling. 7

9 Prosthesis placement using the tunnelling tool: For spirally reinforced prostheses please use a tunnelling tool with a diameter 1 2 mm larger than the inside diameter of the prosthesis so that the latter can be readily moved into position without getting caught on anything. Replace the olive with one that exactly matches the inside diameter of the prosthesis before pulling it through the prosthesis. In the case of prostheses without external reinforcement, the diameter of the tunnelling tool should be just as large as the interior diameter of the prosthesis to be implanted. Anastomosis: Use atraumatic clamps with soft, cushioned ends. For suturing use a non-cutting round needle of a suitable size and a non-absorbable monofilament suture material of appropriate dimensions. It is recommended that the same width of anastomosis prosthesis / tissue suture seam be maintained on both sides. This seam margin should not be less than 2 mm in reconstruction of vessels. Avoid excessive tension on the anastomosis, but also do not leave excessive suture gaps. With the axillo-femoral bypass, the recommended position for the proximal anastomosis is as far to medial as possible within the first third of the a. axillaris. The anastomosis should be performed with the patient s arm extended. Minimize the risk of puncture channel bleeding by following the curve of the needle, holding the suture thread at a 90 angle as far as possible and not pulling too hard on the suture. English 8

10 English Thrombectomy: FlowLine Bipore Heparin eptfe vascular prostheses are not radially elastic. When balloon catheters and/or angioplasty catheters are to be used postoperatively in the prosthesis lumen, make absolutely sure the outside diameter of the inflated balloon corresponds to the inside diameter of the prosthesis. Overinflation and/or use of the wrong size may result in dilatation of and/or damage to the prosthesis. FlowLine Bipore Heparin eptfe as an a.v. shunt prosthesis in haemodialysis: To reduce haematoma formation, we recommend not puncturing the shunt until about 2 weeks after the implantation. Make sure the dialysis cannula is first inserted into the prosthesis at a 45 angle, then guided parallel to the prosthesis. Do not puncture the same locus or area repeatedly, since this may lead to formation of haematomas and pseudoaneurysms. Storage and packaging The FlowLine Bipore Heparin eptfe vascular prosthesis is an EtO-sterilized, disposable (single-use) product that is supplied in a sterile package and will remain sterile as long as the package has not been opened or damaged. Store in a cool, clean, dry environment at temperatures between 10 C and 40 C. Exchange guarantee If the package has been accidentally opened or damaged, or if damage to the package or product has occurred during 9

11 transport, send the complete product in all of the packaging material back to your supplier without delay. The supplier will quickly exchange the product accordingly. GUARANTEE AND WARRANTY JOTEC GmbH guarantees that this product complies with the applicable legal requirements, in particular as stipulated by the EC Directive for Medical Products, 93/42/EEC. JOTEC GmbH will therefore, should the product be shown to exhibit material or processing defects before the expiry date, which defects resulted during production or packaging, a) replace the product with one of identical construction or b) with a product equivalent to the original as to function. All of the following conditions must be met prior to availment of the guarantee: a) The product must not have been used after its expiry date. b) First manifestation of the defect must not have been after the product expiry date. c) Use of the product revealing the defect must have been the first use of a product licensed for single use only or intended for single use only by JOTEC GmbH. d) The defect must have been reported to JOTEC GmbH or its representative without delay. e) The defective product must have been sent back to JOTEC GmbH or its representative immediately after the defect was reported. The above guarantee shall not affect or change any of the required stipulations deriving from the seller s warranty and product liability legislation and shall apply in addition to them. Otherwise, the guarantee applies only within the scope defined above. Further claims may not be made based on the guarantee. This guarantee, as well as the above-mentioned legal warranty and liability claims, shall apply in place of and to the exclusion of any other commitments or assurances made by JOTEC GmbH, whether oral or written, express or tacit in nature. None of our representatives or employees has the right to make any commitments or assurances to the contrary or to enter into agreements to the contrary. In view of the many factors beyond the control of JOTEC GmbH such as shipping, storage and handling by the user, improper use of or non-compliance with the instructions for use or warnings, JOTEC GmbH is in particular not liable for damages of any kind, resulting either directly or indirectly from the product or its use, unless such damages are proved to have been caused by a defect or defects in the product. 12 FlowLine Bipore Heparin Prothèse vasculaire en eptfe avec revêtement d héparine Français Description du produit FlowLine Bipore Heparin est une prothèse vasculaire en polytétrafluoréthylène expansé (eptfe) dont la surface est recouverte d une couche d héparine bioactive. Elle se compose d un corps de prothèse d une seule épaisseur, enrobé d une fine couche de eptfe. La surface de la lumière de la prothèse FlowLine Bipore Heparin est recouverte d héparine hautement moléculaire (muqueuse de porc). La prothèse vasculaire est disponible dans deux épaisseurs de paroi, «Thin Wall» (paroi fine) et «Standard Wall» (paroi normale). Pour les secteurs comportant des risques importants de compression et de pliage (reconstructions extraanatomiques et situées autour des articulations), elle est également disponible avec un renforcement hélicoïdal extérieur amovible en Polytétrafluoréthylène (PTFE). L emballage contient quatre autocollants pour la documentation du patient. Indications La FlowLine Bipore Heparin est indiquée pour les reconstructions de conduits artériels, en premier lieu dans le secteur vasculaire périphérique. Elle est également employables de manière extra-anatomique en guise de reconstruction vasculaire fémoro-fémorale et axillo-fémorale. 11

13 Les prothèses FlowLine Bipore Heparin à paroi normale sont également indiquées comme prothèses artério-veineuses de pontage pour les hémodialyses. Contre-indications Les données cliniques existantes ne suffisent pas pour tirer des conclusions quant à l emploi des prothèses vasculaires en PTFEe dans les domaines d application suivants: reconstructions des artères pulmonaires de l aorte ascendante des artères coronaires des artères carotides (artères carotides primitive, externe et interne) des artères cérébrales des artères brachio-céphaliques des veines pulmonaires et cardiaques des veines caves inférieures et/ou supérieures La FlowLine Bipore Heparin ne doit pas être implantée chez des patients qui présentent: des réactions immunologiques importantes au eptfe, des réactions hypersensibles à l héparine (allergie à l héparine), notamment les patients qui présentent des antécédents TIH type II. Interactions avec d autres médicaments L administration de protamine influence les caractéristiques de biocompatibilité des surfaces d héparine. La protamine ne doit donc pas être administrée à proximité immédiate de la prothèse et de son revêtement. Il est recommandé de réduire le traitement des patients à la protamine à un minimum et de procéder au dosage par étapes. Français 12

14 Français Des interactions avec d autres médicaments ne sont pas connues actuellement. Recommandations et mesures de précaution Attention! La non-observation des recommandations peut conduire à de sérieuses complications chez les patients. 1. La prothèse vasculaire FlowLine Bipore Heparin en eptfe doit uniquement être implantée par des personnes formées aux techniques d implantation chirurgicale de matériaux en eptfe. 2. La réduction de l anticoagulation ne doit pas dépasser la marge usuelle. 3. Pour les patients soumis à un traitement thérapeutique oral aux anticoagulants (acide acétylsalicylique, warfarine, etc.), il est recommandé de déterminer à l aide d un diagnostic préopératoire si ces patients présentent un risque accru d hémorragie. 4. N utilisez plus le produit après la date limite d emploi. Dans un tel cas, veuillez vous adresser à votre fournisseur. 5. La prothèse FlowLine Bipore Heparin en eptfe ne doit par être stérilisée à nouveau. 6. La prothèse ne doit pas être exposée à des rayonnements importants, sous l effet desquels le eptfe se décompose. 7. Ne mettez pas la prothèse en contact avec des agents réactifs huileux, de l alcool ou des solutions contenant de l eau. N essayez pas de préparer la prothèse pour un meilleur écoulement du sang. 8. Ne traitez ou ne manipulez pas la prothèse de manière excessive, sinon le sang, le sérum ou le plasma pourraient être pressés à travers les parois de la prothèse. 9. Employez des clamps atraumatiques avec des embouts tendres et rembourrés. 13

15 10. Employez de manière générale un matériau de suture non résorbable. Le pli de suture ne doit pas être inférieur à 2 mm pour les conduits vasculaires. 11. Les prothèses vasculaires à paroi fine en eptfe ne sont généralement pas recommandées pour un remplacement extra-anatomique, axillo-fémoral, puisqu il y a danger que l anastomose s arrache sous l effet d une sollicitation plus importante. 12. Les prothèses FlowLine Bipore Heparin munies d un renforcement hélicoïdal sur toute leur longueur ne sont pas indiquées comme prothèse de pontage artério-veineux. Ne ponctionnez pas dans la zone renforcée des prothèses à renforcement hélicoïdal. Les deux cas présentent en effet un danger accru de constitution d une embolie et/ou d un pseudo-anévrisme. 13. N employez pas la prothèse ou des parties de la prothèse comme patch. Le produit n a pas été conçu de sorte à être indiqué pour d autres applications que celles décrites ou à donner de bons résultats lors de telles applications. Au contraire, des effets non souhaités peuvent se produire. La gamme des produits Jotec comprend également des patchs en eptfe et des membranes (notamment le patch cardiovasculaire Fluoro-Tex ). Votre fournisseur vous informera volontiers plus amplement sur ces produits. Français Effets indésirables Comme avec tous les implants, une infection de la prothèse peut se produire, rendant nécessaire le retrait de la prothèse. Veillez donc à respecter strictement les conditions aseptiques lors de l opération. 14

16 Autres complications possibles: formation de thromboses, saignements aux points de suture sur l anastomose, rupture des points de suture, élongation, formation de liquide séreux, formation de pseudo-anévrismes et d hématomes. Français Lors de l emploi comme prothèse de pontage artério-veineux: syndrome d hématodétournement, altération de la peau. Recommandations concernant l implantation Il est impératif que les vaisseaux artificiels de remplacement ne soient implantés que par des chirurgiens jouissant de l expérience technique spécifique à ces opérations. En outre, veuillez observer les points suivants lors de l implantation de prothèses FlowLine Bipore Heparin en eptfe: Préparation Au moment d ouvrir l emballage, assurez-vous que celuici est un emballage doublement stérile. Seul le récipient intérieur portant l indication «STERILE» peut être introduit dans le secteur stérile. Ne touchez la prothèse qu avec des gants stériles, non poudrés. N employez pas d objets pointus et uniquement des clamps atraumatiques. Pour le choix du diamètre, veillez à ce que celui-ci corresponde si possible exactement à la lumière du conduit vasculaire original du corps. Avant de couper la prothèse, retirez d abord une partie raisonnable du renforcement hélicoïdal placé à l extérieur à chacune des extrémités. A cet effet, saisissez l extrémité de la spirale avec les doigts ou un instrument atraumatique, puis déroulez lentement et prudemment le renforcement hélicoïdal à un angle de 90 par rapport à la prothèse. 15

17 Coupez la prothèse avec des ciseaux tranchants ou un scalpel. Comme le eptfe n est pas élastique en longueur, veillez à choisir la bonne longueur. La position du patient, le poids de son corps et la liberté complète de mouvement de l (des) extrémité(s) doivent être pris en considération. Si la découpe de la prothèse est trop courte, la tension risque de distendre les points de suture et de provoquer des saignements à ces endroits. Une prothèse trop longue conduit par contre à la formation de plis. Disposition à l aide d un appareil de tunnélisation Pour les prothèses munies d un renforcement hélicoïdal, choisissez un appareil de tunnélisation ayant un diamètre supérieur de 1 2 mm au diamètre intérieur de la prothèse, afin que celle-ci puisse être placée sans problème et sans s accrocher. Avant de tirer la prothèse, veillez à remplacer l olive par une olive qui correspond exactement au diamètre intérieur de la prothèse. Pour les prothèses sans renforcement extérieur, le diamètre de l appareil de tunnélisation doit être équivalent au diamètre intérieur de la prothèse à implanter. Anastomose Employez des clamps atraumatiques avec des embouts tendres et rembourrés. Pour la suture, utilisez une aiguille arrondie non tranchante de taille adéquate et un fil monofilament non résorbable, approprié à l aiguille choisie. Sur les tissus de prothèse d anastomose, il est recommandé de former un pli de suture de taille identique des deux côtés. Ce pli ne doit pas être inférieur à 2 mm pour la reconstruction de conduits vasculaires. Français 16

18 Français Evitez toute tension trop importante sur l anastomose. En outre, ne laissez pas d espaces trop importants entre les points de suture. Pour la pose d un pontage axillo-fémoral, la position recommandée pour l anastomose proximale est aussi médiane que possible dans le premier tiers de l artère axillaire. L anastomose doit se réaliser avec le bras du patient en position tendue. Minimisez les saignements aux points de suture en suivant la courbure de l aiguille, en guidant le fil si possible avec un angle de 90 et en n exerçant pas de forte traction sur la suture. Thrombectomie Les prothèses vasculaires FlowLine Bipore Heparin en eptfe ne sont pas élastiques dans le sens radial. En cas d emploi postopératoire de cathéters à ballonnets et/ou de cathéters d angioplastie dans la lumière de la prothèse, veillez donc impérativement à ce que le diamètre extérieur du ballonnet gonflé corresponde au diamètre intérieur de la prothèse. Un gonflement trop important et/ou l emploi d une taille inappropriée peuvent conduire à la dilatation et/ou à la détérioration de la prothèse. FlowLine Bipore Heparin en eptfe utilisée comme prothèse artério-veineuse de pontage pour l hémodialyse Pour réduire la constitution d hématomes, il est recommandé de ne ponctionner le pontage que deux semaines après l implantation. Veillez à ce que la canule de dialyse soit d abord enfoncée à un angle de 45 dans la prothèse, puis orientée parallèlement à la prothèse. 17

19 Ne répétez pas la ponction au même endroit. Des ponctions répétées dans une même zone peuvent conduire à la constitution d hématomes et de pseudo-anévrismes. Conservation et emballage Les prothèses vasculaires FlowLine Bipore Heparin en eptfe sont un produit à usage unique, stérilisé par procédé EtO et fourni dans un emballage stérile, dans lequel elles restent stériles tant qu il n a pas été ouvert ou endommagé. Conservez ce produit dans un environnement frais, propre et sec à des températures comprises entre 10 C et 40 C. Garantie d échange Si l emballage a été ouvert ou endommagé involontairement ou si l emballage, voire même le produit devaient être endommagés durant le transport, veuillez renvoyer immédiatement le produit dans l emballage complet avec tout l équipement à votre fournisseur. Celui-ci procédera au remplacement le plus rapidement possible. Français GARANTIE La société JOTEC GmbH garantit que ce produit répond aux exigences des réglementations juridiques, en particuliers à la directive de l UE sur les produits médicaux 93/42/CEE. Dans le cas où le produit présente des défauts évidents de matériau ou de fabrication survenus lors de l emballage ou de la fabrication, avant le dépassement de la date limite d utilisationt, la société JOTEC GmbH remplace le produit. a) par un autre produit de même type ou b) par un produit de valeur identique du point de vue de sa fonction Pour toute demande d application de la prestation de garantie, l ensemble des conditions énumérées ci-après doit être donné : a) Le produit n a pas été employé après sa date limite d emploi. b) Le défaut n est pas apparu pour la première fois après la date limite d emploi. 18

20 Français c) S il s agit d un produit autorisé pour un emploi unique ou d un produit prévu pour un emploi unique par la société JOTEC GmbH, il s agit de sa première utilisation. d) Le défaut a été signalé immédiatement à la société JOTEC GmbH ou à son représentant. e) Le produit défectueux a été renvoyé à la société JOTEC GmbH ou à son représentant immédiatement après le signalement du défaut. La garantie décrite ci-dessus ne limite ni les réglementations obligatoires du revendeur en matière de garantie, ni la loi relative à la responsabilité sur le produit et est valable en plus de celles-ci. La garantie n est du reste valide que dans le cadre décrit ci-dessus. Toutes revendications dépassant le cadre de la garantie sont exclues. La garantie de même que les revendications juridiques citées sont valides en lieu et place de tout autre accord oral ou écrit, formulé explicitement, toléré ou exprimé sous toute autre forme d accords par la société JOTEC GmbH. Aucun de nos représentants ou de nos employés n est en droit de formuler des garanties ou des accords ayant un contenu différent. En raison des nombreux facteurs dont la société JOTEC GmbH n a pas le contrôle, comme l expédition, le stockage, la manipulation par l utilisateur, l emploi inadéquat ou le non-respect du mode d emploi ou des avertissements, la société JOTEC GmbH ne prend en charge aucun dommage de quelque nature qu il soit, induit directement ou indirectement par le produit ou son emploi, si ce dommage n a pas indéniablement été causé par un défaut du produit. 19

21 FlowLine Bipore Heparin eptfe Gefäßprothese mit Heparin Beschichtung Produktbeschreibung FlowLine Bipore Heparin ist eine Gefäßprothese aus expandiertem Polytetrafluorethlyen (eptfe) und an bioaktiven Heparin Oberfläche. Sie besteht aus einem einlagigen Prothesenkörper, der außen mit einem dünnen eptfe-wickel ummantelt ist. Die Lumenoberfläche der FlowLine Bipore Heparin-Prothese ist mit hochmolekularem Heparin (Schweinemucosa) beschichtet. Die Gefäßprothese ist in den beiden Wandstärken Thin Wall (dünnwandig) und Standard Wall (normalwandig) erhältlich. Für Bereiche hoher Kompressions- und Abknickgefahr (gelenküberschreitende und extraanatomische Rekonstruktionen) steht sie auch mit einer abnehmbaren, äußeren Helixverstärkung aus Polytetrafluorethlyen (PTFE) zur Verfügung. Für die Patientendokumentation liegen der Packung vier Patientenaufkleber bei. Indikation Die FlowLine Bipore Heparin ist indiziert bei arteriellen Gefäßrekonstruktionen, primär im peripher-vaskulären Bereich. Extraanatomisch ist sie zudem einsetzbar als femoro-femorale und axillo-femorale Gefäßrekonstruktion. 22 Kontraindikationen Die vorliegenden klinischen Daten reichen nicht aus, um Schlussfolgerungen über den Einsatz von eptfe Gefäßprothesen für folgende Anwendungsgebiete zu machen: Deutsch Rekonstruktion der Lungenarterien der Aorta ascendens von Herzkranzgefäßen der Carotis-Arterien (A. carotis communis, externa und interna) von Hirnarterien der Arteria brachialis und cephalica von Herz- und Lungenvenen wie auch der Vena cava inferior und/oder superior Die FlowLine Bipore Heparin sollte zudem nicht Patienten implantiert werden, die gegenüber eptfe immunologisch überreagieren. die auf Überempfindlichkeit gegen Heparin reagieren (Heparin Allergie), darunter auch Patienten mit HIT-Typ II in der Vorgeschichte. Wechselwirkung mit anderen Medikamenten Die Gabe von Protamin beeinflusst die biokompatiblen Eigenschaften von Heparinoberflächen. Die Protamingabe sollte daher nicht direkt an der beschichteten Prothese erfolgen. Es wird empfohlen die Protaminbehandlung von Patienten auf ein Mindestmaß zu reduzieren und die Dosierung stufenweise vorzunehmen. Wechselwirkungen mit anderen Medikamenten sind zur Zeit nicht bekannt. 21

23 Hinweise und Vorsichtsmaßnahmen Denken Sie bitte daran, dass das Nichtbeachten dieser Hinweise zu ernsthaften Komplikationen beim Patienten führen kann. 1. Die FlowLine Bipore Heparin eptfe-gefäßprothese sollte nur von Personen implantiert werden, die auf die chirurgische Implantationstechnik des Materials eptfe geschult sind. 2. Die Antikoagulation sollte nicht über das übliche Maß hinaus reduziert werden. 3. Bei Patienten, die therapeutisch mit oralen Antikoagulantien (z.b. Acetylsalicylsäure, Warfarin) behandelt werden, wird empfohlen, durch eine präoperative Diagnostik das Risiko einer erhöhten Blutungsbereitschaft dieser Patienten zu ermitteln. 4. Verwenden Sie das Produkt nach dem Verfallsdatum nicht mehr. Wenden Sie sich in einem solchen Fall bitte an Ihren Lieferanten. 5. Die FlowLine Bipore Heparin eptfe-prothese darf nicht erneut sterilisiert werden. 6. Die Prothese darf nicht starker Strahlung ausgesetzt werden. eptfe zersetzt sich unter starker Strahleneinwirkung. 7. Bringen Sie die Prothese nicht in Kontakt mit ölhaltigen Reagenzien, Alkohol oder wasserhaltigen Lösungen. Versuchen Sie auch nicht, die Prothese zu preclotten. 8. Bearbeiten oder manipulieren Sie die Prothese nicht exzessiv, da ansonsten Blut oder Serum bzw. Plasma durch die Prothesenwand gepreßt werden könnte. 9. Verwenden Sie atraumatische Klemmen mit weichen, gepolsterten Enden. Deutsch 22
