3 Montageanleitung Montagezeit: ca. 0,25h Achtung: Lesen Sie diese Montageanleitung vor der Montage sorgfältig und vollständig durch! Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise und Informationen, die unbedingt vor und während der Montage beachtet werden müssen und hilft, Missverständnisse zu vermeiden. Bitte wenden Sie sich im Zweifelsfalle an unseren technischen Kundendienst (+49 (0) ). 1. Überprüfen Sie die Ware vor der Montage auf Unversehrtheit und mit Hilfe der Stückliste auf Vollzähligkeit. 2. Stecken Sie nun den Kabelbinder durch die Führungen auf der Rückseite der Abt Frontplatte hindurch (Abb.1 und Abb.2). Hinweis: Achten Sie darauf, dass der Verschluss des Kabelbinders in die dafür vorgesehene Aussparung einrastet (Abb.3 und Abb.4). Abb.1 und Abb.2: Einführen des Kabelbinders Abb.3 und Abb.4: Eingerasteter Kabelbinder 3. Legen Sie die Größe der Gegenplatte fest. Diese wurde größer ausgelegt, um auch bei einem großen Abstand der Frontgrillstreben einen festen Halt des Frontgrillemblems zu gewährleisten. Um einen optimalen optischen Eindruck zu erzielen, können Sie die Gegenplatte bei geringem Abstand der Gitterstreben durch Beschneiden mit geeigneten Werkstattmitteln verkleinern. Hinweis: Um die Wirksamkeit der Gegenplatte zu gewährleisten, muss diese grundsätzlich größer als der Abstand der Frontgrillstreben sein / AF MA_Frontgrill-Emblem_ZB Seite 3 von 12

4 4. Führen Sie nun den Kabelbinder durch die Gegenplatte hindurch (Abb.5). Bitte beachten Sie dabei, dass die abgerundeten Kanten der Gegenplatte im montierten Zustand auf der Seite des Kabelbinders (hinten) liegen sollten. (Abb.6). Schieben Sie nun, wie in Abb.7 ersichtlich, die Gegenplatte zwischen den Frontgrillstreben hindurch und bringen Sie diese mit Hilfe des Kabelbinders in eine vertikale Position. Hinweis: Durch leichten Zug am Kabelbinder können Sie anschließend die Gegenplatte in dieser Position halten. Abb.7: Einschieben des Frontgrill Emblems 6. Stecken Sie nun das Ende des Kabelbinders durch dessen Verschluss (Abb.8; Seite 6) und ziehen Sie Ihn soweit an, bis die Frontplatte auf der Vorderseite der Frontgrillstreben leicht anliegt. Achtung: Ziehen den Kabelbinder dabei noch nicht endgültig fest, um ggf. die Position der Frontund Gegenplatte nochmals korrigieren zu können / AF MA_Frontgrill-Emblem_ZB Seite 4 von 12

5 Abb.8: Befestigen des Frontgrill Emblems 7. Wenn sich die Front- und Gegenplatte in der gewünschten Position befinden, ziehen Sie den Kabelbinder endgültig fest. 8. Schneiden Sie den überstehenden Teil des Kabelbinders mit einem geeigneten Werkstattmittel, z.b. einem Seitenschneider, bündig mit der Abt Frontplatte ab (Abb.9). Um eine möglichst ebene Klebefläche zu erhalten, schneiden Sie ggf. den Kabelbinder nochmals vorsichtig mit einem Teppichmesser nach (Abb.10). Abb.9 und Abb.10: Abtrennen des Kabelbinders 9. Entfernen Sie nun die Abdeckung der Klebefläche auf der Rückseite des Abt Emblems und kleben Sie dieses abschließend auf die dafür vorgesehene Frontplatte (Abb.11; Seite 7) / AF MA_Frontgrill-Emblem_ZB Seite 5 von 12

8 Assembly instructions Assembly time: approx.: 0,25h Attention: Please read the assembly instructions carefully and completely before installing! It includes important details and information which must be followed before and during the installation and which help to avoid misunderstandings. In case of doubt, please feel free to contact our technical service at (+49 (0) ). 1. Check if the parts are undamaged and the delivery is complete by means of the parts list before installing. 2. Insert the cable tie through the guides on the backside of the Abt front plate (fig.1 and fig.2). Note: Make certain that the fastener of the cable tie latches into the intended opening (fig.3 and fig.4). Fig.1 and fig.2: Insertion of the cable tie Fig.3 and fig.4: Latched in cable tie 3. Determine the size of the counter plate. It is dimensioned larger to guarantee a good hold of the Abt front grille emblem, even when there is a large interspace between the front grille struts. If there is little interspace between the grille struts, you can trim the counter plate with appropriate instruments to get an optimal optical impression. Note: To assure the effectiveness of the counter plate, the counter plate has to be larger than the interspace of the front grille struts / AF MA_Frontgrill-Emblem_ZB Seite 8 von 12

9 4. Now put the cable tie through the counter plate (fig.5). Please note that the round edges of the counter plate should be on the side of the cable tie (back) when it is mounted (fig.6). round edges Fig.5 and fig.6: Cable tie inserted through the counter plate 5. Push the counter plate through the front grille struts (fig.7) and bring it into a vertical position by means of the cable tie. Note: By pulling the cable tie slightly, you are able to keep the counter plate in this position afterwards. Fig.7: Insertion of the Abt front grille emblem 6. Now push the end of the cable tie through its fastener (fig.8; page 12) and pull it tight only until the front plate slightly abuts the front side of the front grille struts. Attention: Do not tighten the cable tie finally to be able to probably adjust again the position of the front and counter plate / AF MA_Frontgrill-Emblem_ZB Seite 9 von 12

10 Fig.8: Fastening of the front grille emblem 7. If the front and counter plate are in the desired position, pull finally the cable tie tight. 8. Trim the overlapping part of the cable tie with appropriate instruments, e.g. a side cutting pliers, flush to the Abt front plate (fig.9). To maintain the adherent surface as even as possible, probably trim again the cable tie carefully with a carpet cutter (fig.10). Fig.9 and fig.10: Cutting of the cable tie 9.
