Vertrauliches und geschütztes Dokument BIBA is an engineering research institute at the University of Bremen and does research in the field of production and logistics. BIBA was founded in 1981 as one of the first affiliated institutes of the University of Bremen. BIBA researches and develops technical and organisational solutions and implements them in practice-oriented businesses. The staff at BIBA comes primarily from production engineering, industrial engineering, computer science, electrical engineering and other related scientific disciplines. 5

Failures of logistics machines can cost a lot of money and time. The optimization of supporting processes like the maintenance of technical equipment will play an important role to gain further efficiency essentially in the field of logistics! 7
