10 Section B Part Two KINDHEIT Katja spricht über ihre Kindheit: Ich wurde vor 26 Jahren in der DDR geboren also in Ostdeutschland. Nach dem Kindergarten bin ich mit sechs Jahren in die Schule gekommen und Jungpionier geworden. Die Jungpioniere waren eine Kinderorganisation fast alle meine Freunde haben dort mitgemacht. Am Wochenende haben wir oft einen Wandertag gehabt oder Bastelnachmittage organisiert. Als Jungpionier bekam man spezielle Kleidung: einen blauen Rock, eine weiße Bluse und ein blaues Halstuch. An meiner Schule gab es oft Versammlungen. Dabei haben Leute aus der Schule Lieder vorgesungen und wir mussten uns die politischen Reden der Lehrer anhören. Aber von der Politik in der DDR habe ich damals nicht viel verstanden. Als ich acht Jahre alt war, wurden die Grenzen nach Westdeutschland zum ersten Mal geöffnet. Das war aufregend! In den Läden dort gab es ein viel größeres Angebot an Waren: Ich fand das große Barbie-Sortiment zum Beispiel sehr beeindruckend. Manche DDR-Sachen kamen mir schon seltsam vor, aber insgesamt war meine Kindheit in der DDR unkompliziert. Um so mehr macht es mich traurig, dass nicht jedes Kind auf der Welt so eine sorglose Kindheit hat. Jedem zweiten Kind fehlen die wichtigsten Dinge zum Überleben. Manche wachsen ohne Eltern auf, andere haben kein Zuhause. Millionen von diesen Kindern müssen schwer arbeiten und können nicht zur Schule gehen. Im Vergleich war meine Kindheit völlig entspannt und glücklich. 10 *M36894A01016*
