4 2 Introduction This document demonstrates how to include JavaBeans in the web server. 2.1 Hardware and Software requirements NOTICE The following configuration is used in this document. The newer version of hardware and software should work, however it should be tested by the user himself. 5 3 PLC configuration This chapter will show you how to configure the different parameters. 3.1 Control Builder Plus The PLC program was written with the ABB Control Builder Plus PS501 V AC500 PM564-ETH CPU Using the AC500 CPU PM564 ETH FW: V2.1.5 Application Example AC500/Issue:

7 3.4 Web server & FTP - Server configuration Please expand the Communication modules and the Onboard Ethernet and click on IP_Settings. Switch to the tab extended settings. Enable the Web server and the FTP-Server. Please use a minimum of four Connections at the Web server configuration. The port is still 80. Please be sure that your sessions are two in the FTP server settings. Port is default 21. Now, we could set a password for the different users. In this example we used root as password for all users. Please save your settings and create configuration data. You can do that by right click on AC500 and choose Create configuration data. Now, please open CoDeSys by double click on AC500. 8 4 PLC_PRG The PLC program is given as structure text in this example. It was written with the actual version of the PS501 Control Builder Plus. 4.1 Program Just a few operations are given. This example shows you only JavaBeans and it s not necessary to implement many other functions. Application Example AC500/Issue:

9 Please choose your configuration data. Go to Online --> Communication Parameters When you connect your PLC over Ethernet then insert the following settings: - Address (IP address from the PLC) - Port (set Port to 1201) - Motorola byteorder (Yes) Application Example AC500/Issue:

10 5 Visualization 5.1 Visualization settings Please go to Resources tab on the bottom of the page. Choose Target Settings on the left side. A new window will appear. Please select the Visualization tab and make a cross at the Web visualization. Now, press OK and save your project. Application Example AC500/Issue:

11 Download your program to the PLC. Please choose Online --> Login. The whole program and the configuration will be downloaded to the PLC. Now, please create a boot project. You can do that by click on Online --> Create boot project. The LED s on the PLC are flashing until be finished. Application Example AC500/Issue:

12 5.2 Visualization Overview There are two visualizations with different pages implemented. This picture shows the visualization from the JavaBeans Application Example. Application Example AC500/Issue:

13 6 FTP Client 6.1 FTP version Please use FileZilla as FTP client to connect to your PLC. You can download it here: Application Example AC500/Issue:

14 6.2 FTP Login Please insert the IP from the PLC you want to connect in the first field on the top. The second field is the username in our case root and the third field is the password. Also root. Port is default 21. Now click on connect. If you successful you should see the following folders: - ramdisk - userdisk - sdcard (optional) Please navigate to userdisk/webvisu/. Here can you see all webvisu files. Now, we have to replace these files with the modified ones, stored in the webvisu folder in this Application Example. Here is also the Java file included, see "bean.jar" and molecule.jar. This is just an example. You can modify if you want. The modified homepage (webvisu.htm) is still included. After replacing via Drag & Drop, please call the visualization in the browser: e.g.: /webvisu.htm This is the IP address from the PLC. Now, you should see the web visualization. 15 7 Implementation 7.1 Implementation in CoDeSys That you can use JavaBeans it s very important that you implement the following method. public String invokebeanmethods(string stmethods, String stparams) {. } Please insert an IECString for: - Methodidentification - Parameters An IECBool for: - Usage Condition The functionality in the online mode is the following: A rising edge of the calling condition (invokebeanmethods) calls the function with the both transfer parameters (Methodindentification stmethods, Parameter stparams). The return value of this function is inserted in the IECString Parameter. In the category you can change the X-Y- direction and the visibility. 7.2 Calling a method Within the CoDeSys visualization you can use the element ActiveXElement on the configuration dialog control, JavaBeans can be integrated into the visualization.
