5 DESCRIZIONE Condizionatore multisplit inverter a pompa di calore, funzionante con gas frigorifero R40A. Le unità esterne (in questo manuale chiamate MIH-C) sono disponibili in due grandezze che possono gestire rispettivamente due e tre unità interne collegate (in questo manuale chiamate MIH-E nella versione standard e MIHP-E nella versione dotata di Plasmacluster), la stessa unità esterna può essere collegata contemporaneamente a unità interne standard e Plasmacluster. Ogni unità interna è corredata di un proprio telecomando portatile a raggi infrarossi che può essere anche fissato ad una parete per mezzo di una speciale vite fornita a corredo. Le nuove unità serie MIH-C sono dotate di un nuovo compressore ad inverter in corrente continua DC Inverter, che permette di migliorare l efficienza del sistema riducendo i consumi medi stagionali. The outdoor units (in this manual reffered to as MIH-C) are available in two sizes, capable of serving two or three internal units respectively (in this manual reffered to as MIH-E for the standard version, as MIHP-E for the version equipped with Plasmacluster), the outdoor unit can also be connetted at the same time with both standard indoor units and Plasmacluster units. Each unit has its own infrared ray, portable, remote control, which can also be wall mounted using the special screw supplied. 6 DESCRIZIONE DEI COMPONENTI MOBILE DI COPERTURA È caratterizzato da dimensioni contenute e da un estetica estremamente gradevole. 2 SCHEDA DI CONTROLLO La scheda elettronica a microprocessore svolge le seguenti funzioni: - controllo e gestione del ciclo di sbrinamento; - controllo della temperatura dello scambiatore esterno nel funzionamento in raffreddamento; - controllo della temperatura dello scambiatore interno nel funzionamento in pompa di calore per evitare possibili correnti di aria fredda; - protezione da assorbimenti elettrici eccessivi. 3 GRUPPO VENTILANTE Unità esterna: Costituito da un ventilatore assiale, bilanciato staticamente e dinamicamente, con griglia di protezione a norme CEI Unità interna: Il gruppo ventilante è costituito da un ventilatore di tipo tangenziale estremamente compatto e silenzioso. 4 RICEVITORE Sul ricevitore sono alloggiati il ricevitore di segnale, il tastierino ausiliario di comando e i led di segnalazione. 5 BATTERIA DI SCAMBIO TERMICO È realizzata in tubo di rame con alette in alluminio di tipo turbolenziato. 6 DEFLETTORE MANDATA ARIA L unità è dotata di un deflettore motorizzato e di alette verticali orientabili manualmente in modo da direzionare il flusso dell aria in modo ottimale. 7 FILTRO ARIA È rigenerabile, con trattamento antimuffa e facilmente estraibile per la pulizia. 8 TELECOMANDO Il telecomando permette di impostare tutti i parametri di funzionamento dell apparecchio, tali parametri vengono visualizzati su di un display a cristalli liquidi facilitando così le operazioni di programmazione. Il telecomando è alimentato con 2 batterie stilo da,5 V di tipo R 03 AAA e funziona fino ad una distanza di 7 metri dall unità. 9 VALVOLA INVERSIONE CICLO Inverte il flusso di refrigerante al variare del funzionamento estivo / invernale. 0 COMPRESSORE DC Inverter Compressore ad inverter in corrente continua DC Inverter ermetico, rotativo ed isolato acusticamente. È dotato di separatore di liquido, che protegge il compressore da un eventuale ritorno di liquido refrigerante proveniente dalle unità interne. MORSETTIERA Morsettiera per collegamenti elettrici. 2 RACCORDI FRIGORIFERI Raccordi frigoriferi per il collegamento tra le unità. 3 DISPLAY Display luminoso integrato nel pannello frontale delle unità interne, consente la visualizzazione dello stato di funzionamento dell unità e delle condizioni ambientali. 4 PLASMACLUSTER (solo MIHP-E) Lo ionizzatore all interno del condizionatore d aria, libera nella stanza, ioni a gruppi, che consistono in una massa collettiva di ioni positivi e negativi. I gruppi di ioni eliminano i funghi presenti nell aria e deodorano decompondo le molecole che causano odori. COMPONENT DESCRIPTION CASING Features compact dimensions and a particularly attractive appearance. 2 CONTROL CARD The electronic microprocessor-control card performs the following functions: - controls and manages the defrosting cycle; - regulates the outdoor exchanger temperature in cooling mode; - regulates the indoor exchanger temperature in heat pump mode to prevent cold air currents; - protects against excessive power absorption. 3 FAN UNIT Outdoor unit: Comprises one dynamically and statically balanced axial fan complete with CEI standard (07-34) safety grill. Indoor unit: Comprises an extremely compact and noiseless cross-flow fan. 4 RECEIVER The signal receiver, auxiliary control keypad and indicator leds are located on the receiver. 5 HEAT EXCHANGE COIL Comprises copper piping and turbo-type aluminium fins. 6 AIR DELIVERY LOUVRE The unit is equipped with a motor-driven louvre and vertical fins which may be moved manually to optimise the air flow direction. 7 AIR FILTER Re-usable air filter treated with mould inhibitor. Easy to remove for cleaning. 8 REMOTE CONTROLLER The remote controller allows you to set all the equipment operating parameters. These parameters are displayed on a liquid crystal display to facilitate programming. The remotecontroller is powered by 2 x.5 V pencil batteries, type R 03 AAA, and operates up to a maximum distance of 7 metres from the unit. 9 CYCLE REVERSE VALVE It inverts the refrigerant flow in accordance with summer/winter operation variations. 0 DC Inverter COMPRESSOR Hermetic rotary compressor, complete with sound insulation. A liquid separator is also present, it protects the compressor from the return of refrigerant liquid from the indoor units. TERMINAL BOARD Terminal board for electrical connections. 2 REFRIGERATION COUPLINGS Refrigeration couplings for interconnecting the units. 3 DISPLAY Luminous display built into the front panel on the internal units, used to indicate the unit's operating status and ambient conditions. 4 PLASMACLUSTER (MIHP-E only) The ionizer inside the air conditioner will release cluster ions, which are collective mass of positive and negative ions, into the room. The cluster ions reduce airborne mold fungus and deodorize/decompose odorcausing molecules. 6

ATTENZIONE Questo condizionatore d aria usa il refrigerante R40A.. Tenere sigillata ogni estremità aperta delle tubazioni con un tappo o altro fino a che non sia completato l allacciamento. 2. Prestare molta attenzione durante l allacciamento delle tubazioni affinchè acqua, sporcizia etc. non entrino nelle tubazioni e nell impianto. 3. Le tubazioni allacciate all unità interna ed esterna devono essere nuove. Lo spessore richiesto per le tubazioni è di 0,8mm o più. 4. Utilizzare solo refrigerante R40A per effettuare i reintegri di refrigerante nell impianto. In nessun caso aggiungere olio lubrificante nell impianto. CAUTION This air conditioner uses R-40A refrigerant.. Keep every open ends of pipes sealed with a cap, etc. until connected with the equipment. 2. Exsercise great care when performing piping installation so as water, dust, etc. will not enter into the pipes and equipment. 3. Pipes connected to the indoor and outdoor units must be used new. Piping must have a wall thickness of 0,8 mm or more. 4. Use only R-40A refrigerant when charging additional refrigerant to the equipment. Never add lubricating oil to the equipment. 7

15 INSTALLAZIONE ATTENZIONE: i collegamenti elettrici, l'installazione dei ventilconvettori e dei loro accessori devono essere eseguiti solo da soggetti in possesso dei requisiti tecnico-professionali di abilitazione all'installazione, alla trasformazione, all'ampliamento e alla manutenzione degli impianti ed in grado di verificare gli stessi ai fini della sicurezza e della funzionalità. In particolare per i collegamenti elettrici si richiedono le verifiche relative a : - Misura della resistenza di isolamento dell'impianto elettrico. - Prova della continuità dei conduttori di protezione. Vengono qui riportate le indicazioni per una corretta installazione delle apparecchiature. Si lascia comunque all esperienza dell installatore il perfezionamento di tutte le operazioni a seconda delle esigenze specifiche. Per l esecuzione dei collegamenti frigoriferi procedere come segue: - prestare molta attenzione durante l allacciamento delle tubazioni affinchè acqua, sporcizia etc. non entrino nelle tubazioni e nell impianto; - far passare le linee, il tubo di scarico condensa ed i cavi REFRIGERANT CONNECTIONS To prepare copper piping, proceed as follows: - Use new, thermally insulated, copper piping with a wall thickness of at least 0,8 mm. The pipe diameter and tightening torque must be: - cut the copper piping to size using a pipe cutter; - smooth the two ends using a pipe reamer; - insulate the pipes and fit conical nuts before flaring; - use a conical pipe flange for flaring; - make sure the conical section is axially aligned with the pipe, and that it is smooth, fracture-free and of uniform thickness. - Close off the end using adhesive tape to prevent dirt getting into the pipe. To form the refrigeration connections, proceed as follows: - Be very careful when connecting up the pipes to ensure that no water, dirt, etc. gets into the piping or plant. - Pass the lines, condensate drainpipe, and electrical cables through the hole in the wall, aligning the ends of the lines 5

Clean the joint surfaces carefully to ensure perfect contact between the tightening surfaces. - Connect the vacuum pump to the needle sockets on the gas line couplings. - Do not open the taps (the vacuum must be formed in the lines and the internal unit). - Create a vacuum of up to -760 mm Hg. - Once this series of operations has been completed and the vacuum pump has been disconnected completely, open the taps fully by turning the nuts using a 4 mm hexagonal Allen wrench. - Refit the caps and tighten them. - After checking that everything is as it should be and that the lines are in their final positions, secure the cables and refrigeration lines using clamps. Le unità interne ed esterne devono essere collegate elettricamente fra di loro come indicato negli schemi elettrici a corredo degli apparecchi stessi. WIRING CONNECTIONS The conditioners are supplied by a single-phase 230/50 Hz voltage. 19 SCARICO CONDENSA Durante il funzionamento in fase di raffreddamento, l unità interna sottrae umidità all aria: l acqua di condensa, che si raccoglie nella bacinella, dovrà essere eliminata. A tal proposito si utilizzi il tubo in gomma fissato alla bacinella e lo si raccordi con una tubazione alla scarico. La tubazione di scarico della condensa dovrà avere una leggera pendenza verso il basso in modo da consentire il deflusso dell acqua. Per evitare che odori sgradevoli possano salire attraverso lo scarico, si consiglia di realizzare un sifone nella parte terminale della tubazione. A collegamento ultimato si consiglia di verificare il corretto deflusso dell acqua. CONDENSATE DRAIN In cooling mode the indoor unit extracts humidity from the air. The condensate water collected in the collection tray must therefore be drained off. For this purpose, use the hose attached to the collection tray, which must be connected by pipe to the drain. 20 Per il montaggio procedere come segue: posizionare la piastra di supporto sulla parete; segnare la posizione del foro per il passaggio delle tubazioni (fig. 9); segnare la posizione dei fori per i tappi ad espansione; eseguire il foro per il passaggio delle tubazioni e dei cavi elettrici; (se il muro è molto spesso eseguire prima un foro centrale con una punta lunga e poi allargarlo con una fresa); fissare la piastra di supporto al muro; svitare le viti e togliere l involucro dell unità interna (fig. 4); piegare i tubi di rame sull unità interna secondo le esigenze (fig. 7); passare le linee frigorifere attraverso il foro; togliere le protezioni dalle estremità delle linee; aggangiare l unità interna al supporto (fig. 8) infilando i tubi e i cavi elettrici di collegamento tra le unità nel foro. collegare le linee frigorifere; serrare i cavi elettrici di collegamento tra le unità (fig. 3) sulla morsettiera dell unità interna; L unità interna viene fornita di serie con il tubo di scarico condensa collegato a sinistra (vista dal retro dell unità), ma è possibile spostare l attacco a destra. The indoor unit is supplied as standard with a condensate drain pipe with left connection (looking at the back of the unit), but it may be moved to the right coupling. In this case the pipe must be disconnected by turning it anticlockwise, then extract the cap from the opposite side, fit the pipe coupling and turn it clockwise. Insert an Allen key (diagonal 4 mm) in the cap and push it in. INSTALLAZIONE DELL UNITÀ ESTERNA L unità esterna va installata all aperto, in posizione perfettamente orizzontale, rispettando gli spazi tecnici minimi per consentire il passaggio dell aria e l esecuzione di eventuali manutenzioni. L unità è costruita con materiali trattati per resistere alle intemperie e quindi non è necessario proteggerla in modo particolare. Verificare, invece, che la batteria di scambio termico non sia esposta al pericolo di grandine. Se si desidera fissare l unità ad un muro, utilizzare staffe di dimensione adeguata per sostenere il peso dell unità. Nel funzionamento in riscaldamento, viene prodotta dell acqua, pertanto, con l unità fissata a muro, è necessario raccogliere l acqua per convogliarla allo scarico (fig. ). OUTDOOR UNIT INSTALLATION Outdoor units must be installed horizontally outdoors in accordance with the minimum working dimensions to ensure the passage of air and the execution of any necessary maintenance work. The unit is constructed in weather-resistant materials and consequently requires no special protection. Make sure however that the heat exchange coil is not exposed to the risk of hail storms. If you wish to mount the unit on the wall use brackets of a suitable size to support the weight of the unit.. Questa funzione viene impiegata quando bisogna rimuovere l unità per reinstallarla, per inviarla in riparazione, etc. A tutela dell ambiente, non tagliare i collegamenti frigoriferi tra unità interne ed esterna, rilasciando il refrigerante nell aria. Modalità d impiego: - Inserire il magnetotermico - Controllare che i led (5-52 per MIH80C; per MIH240C) sulla scheda dell unità esterna lampeggino in modo sincrono e lento ( lampeggio a secondo). - Spegnere le unità interne, se sono in funzione, e collegare il manometro alla presa di pressione della valvola del gas - Rimuovere l aria nel tubo del manometro - Premere il pulsante Pump Down (SW5) sulla scheda per più di 5 secondi. Le unità iniziano ad operare in modalità Pump Down, sulle unità interne lampeggia l indicatore rosso di funzionamento e vengono emessi tre beep. - Dopo 5 minuti, chiudere completamente la valvola della linea del liquido - Chiudere a metà la valvola della linea del gas - Lasciare funzionare le unità per 40 / 60 secondi. Quando sul manometro si legge una pressione di circa 0,5 kgf/cm 2, chiudere immediatamente la valvola del gas - Premere il pulsante Pump Down (SW5) sulla scheda. Le unità smetteranno di funzionare - Sconnettere il manometro - Rimettere i cappucci alle prese delle valvole - Aspettare almeno 90 secondi dopo che è terminata la procedura del Pump Down e chiudere il magnetotermico. N.B. : - Se si lascia l unità in funzione con una pressione inferiore a 0,5 kgf/cm 2, le unità interne possono raggiungere una pressione negativa e, quindi, l umidità e la polvere nell aria possono entrare nelle unità interne. PUMP DOWN MODE Pump down is to collect the refrigerant into the outdoor unit by control the stop valve and the compressor. This method is adopted in the case of unit removal for reinstallation, repair, etc. For environmental protection, do not cut the pipes connecting the indoor and outdoor unit and release the refrigerant into air. How to use: - Turn the circuit breaker on - Check that the leds (5-52 for MIH80C; for MIH240C) on the display board unit are flashing synchronously in a slow (one flash per second) cycle - Stop the air conditioner operation if any indoor unit operates and connect the gauge manifold hose to the service port of the stop valve (Gas side) - Remove the air in the hose - Press the Pump Down switch (SW5) on the display board unit for 5 seconds or more. The indoor/outdoor unit will start operation in the Pump Down mode. The red operation lamp on the indoor unit will flash and three beep will be emitted. - After 5 minutes, fully close the stop valve (liquid side) by turning the hexagon socket screw key clockwise - Close the stop valve (gas side) to half closed position - Keep running the air conditioner for 40 / 60 seconds. When the pressure of the compound gauge reads 0.5 kgf/cm 2, then immediately fully close the stop valve (gas side) - Press the Pump Down switch (SW5) in the display board unit for 5 seconds or more. The operation of all indoor units and outdoor unit will stop. - Disconnect the gauge manifold hose from the service port - Replace the service port cap and the both valve shafts caps tightly - Wait more than 90 seconds after finishing pump down, and turn off the circuit breaker. N.B. : - If you run the air conditioner until the pressure drops below 0.5 kgf/cm 2, indoor unit side becomes negative pressure. As a result, moisture or dust in the air will enter into the indoor unit. Il condizionatore è dotato di un pulsante Wire Check sull unità esterna che consente la correzione automatica dei collegamenti elettrici tramite un microprocessore. Modalità d impiego: - Completare i collegamenti elettrici e frigoriferi tra le unità - Controllare che i led (5-52 per MIH80C; per MIH240C) sulla scheda dell unità esterna lampeggino in modo sincrono e lento ( lampeggio a secondo). Se uno o più led rimangono accesi, controllare e correggere i collegamenti elettrici. - Premere il pulsante Wire Check (SW50) sulla scheda per più di 5 secondi. Il lampeggio dei due led cambia. Il controllo di collegamenti elettrici e frigoriferi errati inizia e le unità iniziano a funzionare, sulle unità interne lampeggia l indicatore rosso di funzionamento e vengono emessi tre beep. I collegamenti elettrici errati vengono corretti automaticamente. - I collegamenti frigoriferi errati non possono essere corretti e viene visualizzato un errore. Quando viene rilevato un errore, i due led compiono 8 cicli di 3 lampeggi. Le unità si fermano. Spegnere il magnetotermico, correggere l errore e ripetere la procedura dall inizio. Se l errore persiste, contattare il Servizio Assistenza - I due led (5-52 per MIH80C; per MIH240C) sulla scheda dell unità esterna lampeggino in modo sincrono e lento ( lampeggio a secondo), quando il ciclo di controllo (dai 3 ai 6 minuti) viene terminato senza rilevare nessun errore. Le unità si fermano. MISWIRING CHECK MODE Miswiring Check must be performed after installation. The air conditioner is designed with a Wire Check switch on the outdoor unit that allows the self correction of wiring by microcomputer. How to use: - Complete the unit-to-unit wiring and piping - Check that the LEDs (5-52 for MIH80C, for MIH240C) on the card in the external unit are flashing in time with each other and slowly (once per second). If one or more LED stays lit, check and correct the electrical connections. - Press the Wire Check switch (SW50) on the display board unit for 5 seconds or more. The flashing of the leds will change. Miswiring (mispiping) check will start and the indoor and outdoor units will start operating. The red operation lamp on the indoor units will flash, and three beep will be emitted. Miswiring of unit-to-unit wiring will be self-corrected. - Erroneous refrigeration connections cannot be corrected, and an error is indicated. When an error is detected the two LEDs go through 8 cycles of 3 flashes each. The units stop. Switch off the trip switch, correct the error and repeat the procedure from the beginning. If the error persists contact our Service Assistance Department. - All the leds (5-52 for MIH80C; for MIH240C) will flash synchronously in a slow (one flash per second) cycle when miswiring (mispiping) check is completed with no error detection (3/6 minutes). Indoor and outdoor units will stop.
