Original Passport (no copy!) at least valid for 6 month 2. One DPPS Visa Form (Department for the Promotion and Propagation of the Sasana) to apply for the study of the Theravada Buddhism in Myanmar 3. 2 copies of application form for Entry/ Business Visa 4. A letter addressed to the Embassy applying for the study of Theravada Buddhism in Myanmar 5. A short Curriculum vitae 6. A letter of endorsement or invitation from the Meditation Centre signed by the supervising Sayadaw 7. A Letter of Intent stating that all the prevailing laws of Myanmar and directives of the Sasana Propagation Department will be observed. Furthermore, you need or should consider the following: 1 Three passport photos: A photo must be glued to each of the four forms previously mentioned 2 Visa fee is 35 euros. You can pay cash, by cheque or banking transfer 3 Self-addressed return envelope with German stamps or postage for registered letter. International coupons for postage fee or Austrian stamps are not accepted. To send back outside Germany, include also a minimum postage fee of 10 Euros. A postage Fee is accepted only in cash. (cheque and bank transfer are not accepted). 4 All documents must be written in English. Note: To issue meditation visa with the validity of 3 months which begins with the date of issue, it is necessary to get prior permission from the authorities concerned. It may take some time for the permission to come through, so that it is advisable to apply for visa at least 2 months prior to the date of departure to Yangon. Paying an additional visa fee, you can probably extend visa in Yangon with endorsement from the Meditation Centre. Original Reisepass (keine Kopie) mindestens 6 Monate gültig 2. Ein DPPS Visa Formular ((Department for the Promotion and Propagation of the Sasana) um sich für das Studium des Theravada Buddhismus in Myanmar zu bewerben 3. ausgefüllte Kopien des Antragsformulars für Entry/ Business Visum 4. Ein an die Botschaft adressierter Brief mit der Bewerbung für das Studium des Theravada Buddhismus in Myanmar 5. Ein kurzer Lebenslauf 6. Ein Einladungs- oder Bestätigungsschreiben von einem Meditationszentrum in Myanmar, unterzeichnet durch den aufsichtsführenden Sayadaw 7. Eine Absichtserklärung in der versichert wird, dass der Antragsteller alle Gesetze des Landes Myanmar sowie alle Anweisungen des Sasana Propagation Departments befolgen wird. Desweiteren wird folgendes benötigt: 1. Drei Passfotos: Kleben Sie bitte jeweils ein Foto auf eines der Formulare (bitte keine Klammern!) 2. Die Visumsgebühr beträgt 35 Euro. Zahlen Sie die Visumgebühren im Voraus per Banküberweisung, Scheck (Bankverbindung siehe unten) oder in bar. Nach Ausstellung eines Visums ist eine Rückerstattung nicht mehr möglich. 3. Einen frankierten (nur deutsche Briefmarken!) und fertig adressierten Einschreiben-Rückumschlag. Für Sendungen von ausserhalb Deutschlands müssen Sie mindestens 10 Euro für das Rückporto in bar beilegen (Schecks und Überweisungen werden nicht akzeptiert!). 4. Alle Dokumente müssen in Englisch geschrieben sein. Wichtig:Bitte beachten Sie, dass für die Ausstellung des Meditationsvisums mit einer dreimonatigen Gültigkeit, zuvor die Genehmigung der betreffenden Behörden eingeholt werden muss. Die Genehmigung zu erhalten kann einige Zeit in Anspruch, weswegen es ratsam ist das Visum mindestens 2 Monate vor Abreisedatum zu beantragen. Mit einem Bestätigungsschreiben des Meditationszentrums ist es möglich das Visum in Yangon zu verlängern.
