4 Ziel des Projektes ist, die Ausbildung von Referendar/innen durch eignungsdiagnostische Maßnahmen zu optimieren. Haltungen und Einstellungen, die unabdingbar zum Beruf der Lehrer/in gehören,werden identifiziert und gezielt weiterentwickelt. Die ED ermöglicht es den Referendar/innen, die professionelle Selbstwahrnehmung durch Reflexion und kritisches Hinterfragen zu erhöhen. Die Erkenntnisse aus der ED sind Ausgangspunkt für die berufliche Weiterentwicklung. Bei der Entwicklung der ED werden die Ausbildungsprozesse der sieben beteiligten Länder vergleichend analysiert. Ein Projektziel besteht in der Entwicklung eines "Europäischen Lehrerprofils" mit Einstellungen und Haltungen unter Einbeziehung der übergeordneten Bereiche "Integration Behinderter, Werteerziehung und Gender Mainstreaming". Schwerpunkt des Projektes ist die Durchführung von Intensiv-Pilot-Workshops, deren Auswertung und Weiterentwicklung in allen Partnerländern. Die angestrebten Ergebnisse des Projektes liegen in der Entwicklung der ED als einem Instrument, das Referendar/innen hilft, ein Bewusstsein für ihr berufliches Handeln zu entwickeln und Ausbilder/innen als vorbereitendes Training für die Rolle als Beobachter/in dient.

Fragen: An welchen Punkten der Kette sind Potentialeinschätzungen sinnvoll? Welches Verhalten kann an diesen Stellen erwartbar beobachtet werden? Welche möglichen Elemente einer (zu definierenden) Lehrerpersönlichkeit kann an diesem Punkt der Entwicklung sichtbar werden?

10 Beispiel für strategische Zielsetzung aus meiner Sicht... In drei bis fünf Jahren gehört die EDM (Eignungsdiagnostische Maßnahme) zum Grundinstrumentarium der Personalentwicklung an den Lehrerseminaren Baden-Württembergs.

11 To handle an A-P-T-Process we take at least ten steps 1. We identify the profile of the job (What are observable aspects of the good teacher) We formulate a written overview about the aspects, found to be necessary for the job We train the observer group, because she needs a common understanding of these aspects

13 2. We form an observers group and train them in observation. One main focus of this training is the distinction between observing and judging One other main focus is on seeing and writing down (documentation of the visible process)

14 3. We look for volunteers amongst teacher trainees, who are willing to participate in the APT-process The difference between an AC and APT is, that there is no selection of candidates by these means. This we clarified to the candidates The maximum size of a candidate group is 6 persons. To observe this group, we use 6 trained observers and one moderator

15 4. We check the time budget. Due to the amount and length of the exercises, we take at least one day For the feedback discussion of the observer group, we need for one person one hour The individual feedback to the candidate is one hour each, it is organised in the next two days after the exercises

16 5. Check the room budget. You need a backstage room with a backstage person, who hands out the exercises to the candidates,watches, that they do not communicate privately inside the group about the Process and sends them to the exercise room. You need an exercise room for thirteen persons, which is not open to the public

17 6. We choose exercises from the field of work, which are typical for the job. The exercises range from tasks for one person, two persons, three persons, 6 persons. The length of time for the exercises must be attached to the type of individual or group work Offenburg exercises: 1. Self portrait (Preparation time 15 minutes; presentation 5 minutes) 2. Partner work (2 persons): Preparing an outdoor stay with a newly formed class in the Black Forest for 5 days and present your ideas to a parent participant and a teacher colleague. (Working time: 45 minutes; presentation 5 minutes -first part observed by 2 observers, second part by -all observers )

Individual work: On a parents assembly you present about your person as a teacher, your standards in teaching, your aspirations in the teaching methods and subjects, your mark system, the educational process, you want to achieve with the class. (Preparation time 15 minutes; presentation 10 minutes 4. Group work with all candidates: Planning a open house day of your school for the public and present your proposal to the teachers assembly of your school (Preparation time 45 minutes; presentation 15 minutes)

19 7. We make a formal invitation to the APT-Process and a formal farewell session. All 6 candidates can give a fresh feedback about the day (before the exercises and after). Same can be done by the backstage person. We name individual feedbackers for each candidate and fix a date for the feedback session 8. The documentation session of the observer group has three main topics: a) Flashlight about the person (out of the stomach) b) her/his strongnesses c) her/his learning fields Only b) and c) are later reported to the person as the statement of the group

20 9. We note all necessary observations of the group for the feedback session with the candidate. One person reports to one specific candidate. The candidate has the opportunity, to add his view to the observed aspects, layed down by the group.he can also write the aspects down 10. We delete all written documents, papers, exercises and handwritings. We tell the candidate, that he should not transfer the process and the results to his peers... Otherwise the APT-Process could be turned into a event performance for a new group (We know already, what they want us to do...)
