The net weight of the weighing instrument combination that is involved into the weight determination is the weighing result subject to legal control SDM (MID-Box) und Software-Download SDM (MID-Box) and Software-Download Die SDM besteht aus einer separaten Hardware in eigenem Gehäuse und basiert auf einem µc. Sie ist zwischen der WSE und der AWE der DMS-WZ bzw. zwischen der WSE und der EDK-WZ dazwischengeschaltet. The SDM consists of a separate hardware housed in its own case and is based on a µc. Der Dongle ist zeitlich begrenzt gültig und enthält eine auf den Servicetechniker bezogene Kennung. Bei einem Software-Download wird die Kennung neben anderen wichtigen Daten (Datum, Uhrzeit, Software-Versionsnummer, etc.) in das Loggbuch des SDM eingetragen. Ein Software-Download ohne Service-Dongle ist nicht möglich. The SDM controls the uploading of a new software onto the IPC (X terminal). The software exchange can only performed by an authorised service technician of company Mettler-Toledo Garvens GmbH. Each service technician has its own service dongle. The dongle is time limited and contains an identifier that is related to the service technician. During a software-download the identifier is written in the Log file of the SDM among other important data (date, time, software version number, etc.). A software download without the service dongle is impossible. Die aktuelle Software wird bei jedem Neustart der Waage und bei jedem Software- Download auf Integrität und Authentizität geprüft. Schlägt die Überprüfung fehl, so wird die Wägefunktion verhindert und an der MID-Box wird die Fehler-LED eingeschaltet.
