1 HomePort SD Card Installation Instructions Install the Garmin HomePort program on your computer according to the following instructions. After installing the HomePort program, refer to the Help file in the program for usage instructions. Installing HomePort 1. Insert the HomePort SD card into the SD-card reader on your computer. 2. Complete an action: If the autoplay menu appears, select the option to run the setup program and click OK. If the autoplay menu does not appear, click Start > Run. The Run dialog box appears. Type in the letter of your SD-card drive followed by setup (example: e:\setup ). 3. Click OK. The Installation Wizard appears. 4. Follow the directions in the Installation Wizard. 1

2 Uninstalling HomePort 1. Click Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. The Add or Remove Programs dialog box appears. 2. Select HomePort, and click Remove. The Installation Wizard appears. 3. Select the Remove option, and then click Next. 4. Click Finish. Using the Built-in BlueChart g2 Charts from a Compatible Chartplotter with HomePort If you use a chartplotter that contains built-in BlueChart g2 charts and an SD card slot (such as a GPSMAP 5212), you can load the BlueChart g2 charts onto the included HomePort SD card for use with the HomePort program on your computer. note: You can load the charts from your compatible chartplotter onto any 2 GB or larger SD card. The included 2 GB card is for your convenience. To load charts from your chartplotter to the SD card: 1. Insert the SD card into the SD-card slot on your chartplotter. 2. From the Home screen, select Information > User Data > Data Transfer > Card > Copy Built-In Map > Begin Copy. Note: Your chartplotter may use a different path to copy the charts to the SD card. Consult the owner s manual for your chartplotter, if necessary. 3. When the copying process is complete, remove the SD card from the chartplotter. 2

3 To view the charts loaded onto the SD card in HomePort: 1. Insert the SD card in your computer. Note: Install the HomePort program only once. When you place the SD card in your computer after you have transferred the charts from your chartplotter, the autoplay option to run the setup program may appear. 2. Cancel autoplay, if it appears. 3. Launch HomePort from Start > All Programs > Garmin > HomePort. The charts pre-loaded on your chartplotter are now available on your computer. Refer to the HomePort help file for information on selecting and viewing the charts on your SD card. Using Optional BlueChart, BlueChart g2 and BlueChart g2 Vision Cards with HomePort 1. Insert your optional BlueChart, BlueChart g2 or BlueChart g2 Vision card into the card reader on your computer. 2. Launch HomePort from Start > All Programs > Garmin > HomePort. Your optional BlueChart, BlueChart g2 or BlueChart g2 Vision charts are now available on your computer. Refer to the HomePort help file for information on selecting and viewing the charts on your card. 3

Utilisation des cartes BlueChart g2 intégrées d un traceur compatible avec HomePort Si vous utilisez un traceur contenant des cartes BlueChart g2 intégrées et un lecteur de carte SD (tel qu un GPSMAP 5212), vous pouvez charger les cartes BlueChart g2 sur la carte SD HomePort incluse pour les utiliser avec le programme HomePort de votre ordinateur. Verwenden der integrierten BlueChart g2-karten eines kompatiblen Plotters mit HomePort Wenn Sie einen Plotter verwenden, der über integrierte BlueChart g2-karten und einen SD-Kartensteckplatz verfügt (z.
