1 PEGAS ZTP monthly gas price index attractive new option for end users and suppliers in Belgium 14 September 2017 As liquidity and market depth at the Belgian gas trading place ZTP continues to increase, pan-european gas trading platform PEGAS has launched a ZTP monthly price index. The monthly index offers end users and grid users in Belgium an attractive alternative for currently used price references in gas supply contracts. Monthly index shows growing ZTP maturity Traded volumes nominated on ZTP rose with 54% in the first 8 months of 2017 compared to the same period last year. Besides, gas increasingly gets traded through monthly products. ZTP also saw a rise in so-called market maker agreements in which hub customers commit to a minimum number of transactions. This continued increase in liquidity and market depth led PEGAS to launch a monthly price index for ZTP. Accurate reflection of gas-to-gas competition in Belgium Compared to sourcing gas at trading places in neighbouring countries, the ZTP option has shown to be more advantageous for approximately 85-95% of the time over the past 20 months. The monthly index therefore is good news for the market: suppliers and end users now can include the ZTP index in their gas supply contracts to make the gas price more accurately reflect gas-to-gas competition in Belgium. Further liquidity build-up expected The addition of the publically available PEGAS monthly index intensifies the visibility of the ZTP market and is expected to support further liquidity build-up. As the interest in Belgian based indices is likely to increase activity on the PEGAS platform, price formation is set to still improve in accuracy over time. 1

L'index mensuel démontre la maturité croissante du ZTP Les volumes négociés nominés au ZTP ont augmenté de 54 % au cours des 8 premiers mois de 2017 par rapport à la même période l'année passée. Par ailleurs, le gaz est de plus en plus négocié par le biais de produits mensuels. Le ZTP a également connu une croissance des "market maker agreements", dans le cadre desquels les clients du hub s'engagent à effectuer un nombre minimum de transactions. Etant donné cette hausse continue de la liquidité et de la profondeur de marché, PEGAS a lancé un index mensuel du prix pour le ZTP. Reflet fidèle de la concurrence "gas-to-gas" en Belgique Dans 85 à 95 % des cas au cours des 20 derniers mois, le ZTP s'est révélé être plus avantageux pour un approvisionnement en gaz que les places de négoce des pays voisins. De ce fait, l'index mensuel est une bonne nouvelle pour le marché : les fournisseurs et utilisateurs finaux peuvent désormais inclure l'index du ZTP dans leurs contrats d'approvisionnement en gaz afin que le prix reflète plus précisément la concurrence "gas-to-gas" en Belgique. La liquidité devrait continuer à augmenter Le nouvel index mensuel de PEGAS renforce la visibilité du marché ZTP et devrait stimuler encore plus la liquidité. September 2017 Im Zuge der Steigerung der Liquidität und Markttiefe am belgischen Gashandelspunkt ZTP hat die paneuropäische Gashandelsplattform PEGAS einen ZTP Monatspreisindex eingeführt. Dieser Monatsindex bietet Endverbrauchern und Netznutzern in Belgien eine attraktive Alternative zu den aktuell verwendeten Preisreferenzen in Gaslieferverträgen. Monatsindex zeigt zunehmende ZTP Reife Die am ZTP gemeldeten Handelsvolumina sind in den ersten 8 Monaten des Jahres 2017 gegenüber dem Vergleichszeitraum im Vorjahr um 54% gestiegen. Darüber hinaus wird Gas zunehmend über Monatsprodukte gehandelt. Des Weiteren wurde am ZTP auch ein Anstieg der sogenannten Market-Maker-Vereinbarungen verzeichnet, bei denen Kunden des Hubs sich zu einer bestimmten Mindestanzahl von Transaktionen verpflichten. Diese kontinuierliche Zunahme der Liquidität und Markttiefe hat PEGAS nunmehr zur Einführung eines Monatspreisindexes für ZTP veranlasst. Ein genaues Abbild des Gas-zu-Gas-Wettbewerbs in Belgien Verglichen mit dem Gaseinkauf auf den Handelsmärkten in Nachbarländern hat sich die ZTP Option über die vergangenen 20 Monate während ungefähr 85-95% der Zeit als günstiger erwiesen. Daher ist die Einführung des Monatsindexes für den Markt eine gute Nachricht: Die Lieferanten und Endverbraucher können den ZTP Index jetzt in ihre Gaslieferverträge aufnehmen, sodass der Gaspreis nunmehr den Gas-zu-Gas-Wettbewerb in Belgien genauer widerspiegelt. 5

6 Weiterer Liquiditätsaufbau erwartet Der öffentlich verfügbare PEGAS Monatsindex stärkt die Sichtbarkeit des ZTP Marktes. Daher wird ein weiterer Liquiditätsaufbau erwartet. Da durch das Interesse an den spezifischen belgischen Indizes wahrscheinlich auch die Aktivität auf der PEGAS Plattform steigen wird, soll sich so im Laufe der Zeit auch die Genauigkeit der Preisbildung noch weiter verbessern.
