1 Gästehaus der BTU Cottbus Guest House, BTU Cottbus Für den Experimentierbau des Plattenbaurecycling ist eine Doppelstrategie vorgesehen: Konstruktiv werden die recycelten Bauelemente bis ins Detail gemäß ihrer ursprünglichen Funktion eingesehen, architektonisch-räumlich hingegen wird mit dem vorhandenen Material ein neues Vokabular entwickelt. Der Entwurf behält daher die konstruktive Funktion der Elemente bis ins Detail bei etwa bei aussteifenden Wände, Deckenplatten der Bäder usw.. Zugleich ist der Plattenkatalog auf wenig gleiche Elemente in großer Anzahl reduziert, um die räumliche Flexibilität zu erhöhen und durch Abstraktion seine bisherigen formalen und räumlichen Mängel zu überwinden. Die auf ein Minimum beschränkten neuen Bauteile Fensterelemente, Trennwände der Bäder sowie Einbauschränke sind aus Holz und führen in die generische Grundstruktur des Haus eine andere Maßstäblichkeit und Atmosphäre ein. Damit wird es möglich, dem Plattenbaukasten neue und zeitgemäße Qualitäten abzugewinnen: eine Bauköperform, die ganz spezifisch auf den Kontext eingeht; eine großzügige, räumlich vielfältige Erschließung, neue Wohntypologien mit offenen Grundrissen und dynamisierte Raumformen. Fast alle Wohnungen sind dreiseitig orientiert. Zwei- und Vierzimmerwohnung erhalten jeweils einen durch den Baukörper in Ost-West-Richtung durchgesteckten Großraum, der von den Nutzern räumlich zoniert werden kann. In die einfache Schottenstruktur der Konstruktion ist ein großer Luftraum eingeschnitten, der zugleich als Erschließungs- und Gemeinschaftsraum dient. Die Treppe durchdringt in drei Sequenzen den Raum in seinen unterschiedlichen Außrichtungen West-Ost/ Oben-Unten/ Nord-Süd. Die Ost- und Westfassade besteht einerseits aus einer rahmenlosen, geschoßhohen Festverglasung und andererseits aus geschoßhohen Holzelementen, die sich nach außen hin öffnen lassen. Newly introduced modules, reduced to a minimum window elements, separating bathroom walls, and builtin cabinets are made of wood and bring another scale and atmosphere to the generic basic structure of the house. This makes it possible to win new, contemporary qualities from the slab-construction building block set: a construction form that responds very specifically to the context; a generous, spatially diverse developing of new dwelling typologies with open floor plans and dynamized spatial forms.almost all the apartments have a three-sided orientation. Two- and four-room apartments are each given a large room that the construction extends in an East-West direction and that the users can turn into spatial zones. A large air space is cut into the construction s simple bulkhead structure; it serves as an entrance and common room at the same time. The stairway penetrates the space in three sequences in its three axes: East/West, Up/Down, and North/ South. The eastern and western facades consist on the one hand of frameless, immobile glass as high as the storey and, on the other, of wooden elements that can be opened outward. They thereby support the open, flowing spatial impression of the linear large rooms. The northern and southern facades consist of slab elements, between some of which French windows are arranged in an irregular pattern.
