1 Photometric data Beam angle Two different measuring methods are distinguished for the determination of f the beam washlight. angle of a. From these two measuring points, the angle is calculated. This is a good method for defining the size of the light beam perceived by the human eye (especially in fog).. The half peak angle method First of all, the brightness in the hotspot is measured. Then the measuring device is moved within the light beam towards the margin of the t cone too a point, where the brightness is only 50% of the maximum brightness. From these two measuring points, the angle is calculated. This is the most frequently applied method for the calculation and simulation of optical systems. However, it is less conclusive when applied to washlights. For some inexplicable reason, the manufacturers of (above all invariable) standardd LED optical systems have switched over to indicate the beam angle in accordance with this method. Since we used standardd optics in our first LED washlight, we indicated the beam angle in accordance with the half peak angle method. However, it has become apparent that this method iss no longer adequate for the comparison of beam angles of the systems currently available on o the market. Luminous flux Luminous flux indicates the amount of light emitted in all directions by b a light source and is expressed in lumens. The lumens of a light source are indicated by the designation of the light source and the t rating of the colour temperature. In order to t specify the luminous flux of spotlights equipped with LEDs, in most cases all LEDs are set to 00%. Depending on the type of LEDs used (rgb, rgba, rgbw or rbbg), different colour temperatures will result, which leads to an impairment of thee significance of the data. It would therefore be desirable for spotlights equipped with LEDs that in addition to the lumens the corresponding colour temperatures are indicated as well (e.g..900 lumens at K) ). 4 Photometrische Daten Abstrahlwinkel Bei der Bestimmung des Abstrahlwinkels eines Washlights wird zwischen zwei MeßmethodeM en unterschieden.. /0 Peak Methode Hierbeii wird zuerst die Helligkeit im i Hotspot gemessen. Anschließend bewegt man dass Meßgerät im Lichtstrahl soweit zum Rand hin, bis die Helligkeit nur noch /0 der Maximalhelligkeit beträgt. Aus diesen beiden Meßpunkten lässt sich nun der Winkel errechnen. Diese Methode definiert die Größe des vom Betrachter (insbesondere im Nebel) wahrgenommen Lichtstrahls relativ gut.. / Peak Methodee Hierbeii wird zuerst die Helligkeit im i Hotspot gemessen. Da wir in unserem ersten LED Washlight ebenfalls Standardoptiken eingesetzt hatten, gabenn wir den Abstrahlwinkel mit der / Peak Methodee an. Es zeigt sich jedoch, dass diese zum Vergleich der Abstrahlwinkel der aktuell auf dem Markt befindlichen Systeme nicht mehrr geeignet ist, so dass wir dazu übergehen beide Meßmethoden anzugeben. Beispiel (kein JBLED A7): Im Prinzip gibt es zwei relevante Angaben:. Minimaler erreichter Abstrahlwinkel bei /0 Peak. Dieser beträgt beim JBLED A7. Verhältnis minimaler Abstrahlwinkel bei /0 Peak zu maximalem Abstrahlwinkel bei /0 Peak. Dieses Verhältnis ist beim JBLED J A7 :. Lichtstrom Der Lichtstrom gibt an, wieviel Licht eine Lichtquelle in alle Richtungen aussendet. Die Maßeinheit des Lichtstroms ist Lumen. Mit der Angabe der Lumen wird das Leuchtmittel und dessen Farbtemperatur genannt. Bei LED basierten Scheinwerfern werden zur Angabee des Lichtstroms zumeist alle a LEDs auf 00% gestellt. Je nach Bestückung eines Scheinwerfers (rgb, rgba, rgbw oder rggb) erzielt man dadurch unterschiedliche Farbtemperaturen. Dies verzerrt die Aussagekraft deutlich.
