4 General Rules 1. The course: 1969 European Championship course at lower end of Wörthersee. 6 lanes, flying start. Albano system. The finish is near the Klagenfurt landing stage. 2. Boat classes and order of races: see programme Planned start: Saturday, 24th May 2014, 9 a.m. Sunday, 25th May 2014, 8 a.m. 3. Age classes: SchMB/SchWB = schoolboys and schoolgirls born in or after 2002 SchM/SchW = schoolboys and schoolgirls born in or after 2000 JM-B/JW-B = B juniors born in 1998/1999 JM-A/JW-A = A juniors born in 1996/1997 BM = B men born in M/W = men and women born in or before 1991 The RWB rules apply to all Austrian schoolgirls, schoolboys and juniors (valid junior licence). BIG BLADES are not permitted in school categories in Austria. Lightweight: Coxswains: The average weight of a men s crew (without coxswain) must not exceed 70 kg. No rower may weigh over 72.5 kg. A male single rower must not weigh over 72.5 kg (junior 67.5 kg). A female single rower must not weigh over 59 kg (junior 57.5 kg). The lightweights shall be weighed in their race clothing on calibrated scales, not less than one hour and not more than two hours before the first heat of a race in which they are taking part and on every competition day. They must come to be weighed in wearing their race clothing. The minimum weight for coxswains (in race clothing) is 55 kg. To make up the minimum weight, coxswains may have with them deadweight of 10 kg maximum which shall be placed in the boat as close as possible to their person. No item of race clothing may form part of such deadweight. Coxswains must be weighed in race clothing not later than one hour before the first event in which they are taking part on every regatta day. The minimum age for school races is 12 years. 4. Qualification: The heats on Saturday are the qualifying races for the finals on Sunday. Only crews that took part in the same races on Saturday are eligible to race in the finals on Sunday (Masters excepted). If more boats are entered than lanes available, the finals shall be organised according to the results of the first Regatta day. The six best placed on Saturday shall go through to the A finals. In the event of ties, the time shall be decisive. 5. Combining Masters age classes: Various age classes may be grouped together in one heat for Masters races. Unless they are individual entries, they shall be placed separately. Entries for age class G and older will automatically be put into age class F. 6. Borrowing boats: We regret that we cannot provide any boats. An entry cannot be submitted subject to a boat being provided. 7. Liability: Competitors are responsible for taking out insurance to cover themselves and property. The Regatta organisers cannot accept any liability of any kind. The OC and the Jury are not liable for any damages.
