The idea of developing a Workplace Health Promotion Course for Occupational Health & Public Health experts emerged from a Needs Analysis and the recommendations of 2 previous projects: a Europe Fund Project from 2002 and a PHARE project from This project aims at increasing the level of knowledge in what concerns the most advanced findings in Workplace Health Promotion through a process of transferring the expertise available among institutions from 7 countries involved in WHP training at their national level. Beschreibung: The project aims at delivering an Integrated Training Course (face to face training & e- learning) for 40 experts and build a common consensus among the specialists community regarding the need to have workplace health promotion within the curricula of both specialties involved (Occupational Health & Public Health). The scope will be achieved through a process of transferring the expertise available at institutions (Universities, Institutes of occupational health etc) from 7 countries (Spain, Finland, Italy, Greece, Ireland, Belgium and Poland) involved in WHP training at their national level. Each one of the institutions will bring its own experience in particular topics (such as Ergonomics, Risk Assessment, Safety, Health Promotion, Research, Workability etc) which will further on become modules of the Workplace Health Promotion Course proposed. The operational objectives of the project are the following: To organize an updated & specifically crafted Workplace Health Promotion Training Course for the Occupational Health & Public Health experts To support the process of developing the Workplace Health Promotion domain through an information campaign developed at national level among the institutions involved in delivering training courses for health professionals To disseminate the content of the Training Course at European level for possible 2

The website is still being updated. For the moment the website can be accesed only by assigned username and password to the course participants.
