We also could build up upon the experiences and results of the former cooperation in the BurVal project.

7 technical meetings and workshops 2009 During the technical workshop in Hannover, February 2009, and on the meeting on Terschelling, April 2009, the different aspects of the tasks in WP 2 have been discussed. Main focuses were the coordination of fieldwork, concepts for geological models and the interpretation and integration of geological and geophysical data.

8 technical meetings and workshops 2009 On a trans national technical meeting in Westre near Tonder on April 4th 2009 plannings for border crossing seimics and gravity surveys in the border region were made.

9 technical meetings and workshops 2009 On May 11th 2009 a trans national workshop on geological and hydrological modelling in the project area E took place in Ribe, with partners from MC-Ribe, GEUS (WP 6 and 7), LLUR.

10 technical meetings and workshops 2009 On June 11th 2009 a trans national technical meeting took place in Leer with partners from HSW (Hydrogeologie Sebastian Winter, consultant WW Borkum), Deltares, Vitens and LIAG. Main topic was the modelling on the islands of Terschelling and Borkum.

11 technical meetings and workshops 2009 On September 28th a transnational partner meeting was carried out by MC-Ribe. The project partners from MC-Ribe, Region Syddanmark, GEUS, LLUR and LIAG visited some of the focus areas in the border crossing pilot area E.

According to the specific (data) circumstances of the pilot areas the most suitable concept has to be chosen.

18 In the discussions on the several meetings we have seen that there can be different approaches to reach the goals. General concepts that fit to the special conditions of all pilot areas can hardly been found. An intensive cooperation in the WPs during the whole time of the project is necessary. In the end of the project we should compare the concepts and approaches.
