2 This homework booklet will help you to develop and practise your skills in languages and give you a chance to reflect on your progress. Each exercise is labelled as: Bronze: All students to complete. Tasks include recognition, basic comprehension, listing and simple grammar or vocabulary. Silver: All students to try to complete. Tasks include developing ideas, more detailed recognition and development of grammar and vocabulary. Gold: Some students to complete. Tasks include higher level skill development, more detailed language structures, including tenses and vocabulary recognition. Pupils must complete the self-evaluation boxes at the end of the booklet.

7 TASK 5: Read the following text and complete exercises 1 and 2. Hallo! Du hast mich gefragt, wohin ich letztes Jahr in Urlaub gefahren bin. Also, Ich habe zwei Wochen letzten Sommer mit meiner Familie in Australien verbracht. Wir sind natürlich mit dem Flugzeug dorthin gefahren und es war eine lange Reise, 24 Stunden im Luft. Ich habe die Reise ziemlich langweilig gefunden, obwohl wir drei Filme gesehen und viele Bonbons gegessen haben. Meine Schwester und ich haben auch Musik gehört. Wir haben eine Woche in Sydney verbracht. Das war toll. Wir haben in einem Hotel gewohnt. Wir haben das Operhaus in Sydney besucht, das fantastisch war und auch haben wir eine grosse Brücke gesehen. Es war den ganzen Zeit sonnig und warm. Dann sind wir auch eine Woche in Melbourne geblieben. Mein Onkel, meine Tante und meine zwei Cousine wohnen dort. Sie wohnen in einem grossen Einfamilenhaus mit einem Schwimmbad. Ich habe jeden Tag mit meiner Schwester geschwommen. Produce a poster (on the sheet of paper provided) for a beginner s guide to the perfect tense. This should include the basic rules of how to form the perfect tense including how to form a past participle, the verbs haben and sein, irregular verbs and what to do with them. Make your guide colourful and eye catching. Remember to attach it when handing the booklet in.
