1 Einbauhinweise für den FBAS - > RGB Wandler IF-BMWE38VIN Zunächst den Navigationsrechner ausbauen. Hierbei unbedingt darauf achten, das der Rechner abgeschaltet hat, rote LED ist aus. Bei Nichtbeachtung dieser Vorgehensweise kann der Navigationsrechner beschädigt werden, wir übernehmen hierfür keine Haftung. Der Navigationsrechner wird mit zwei handelsüblichen Autoradio Entriegelungswerkzeugen ausgebaut (Nicht im Lieferumfang) Dazu diese Entriegelungswerkzeuge in die zwei Löcher links und rechts am Rechner stecken und leicht nach außen biegen, dabei gleichzeitig den Rechner vorsichtig rausziehen. Ziehen Sie nun den blauen Stecker aus dem Navirechner. Stecken Sie den Kabelbaum des FBAS Wandlers einfach dazwischen. Den abgezogenen blauen Stecker vom Navirechner in den FBAS Kabelbaum, die Buchse vom FBAS Kabelbaum wieder in den Navirechner stecken. Ziehen Sie nun den Magentafarbenen Stecker aus dem Navirechner. Lokalisieren Sie den Pin 3 des Steckers. Darauf befindet sich eine geschaltene 12 Volt Leitung. Hier bitte das rote Kabel des FBAS Wandler Kabelbaums mit dazu klemmen. Die jetzt noch übrig gebliebene blaue Leitung dient zur Aktivierung des Rückfahrcamera Eingangs (Video 2) am FBAS Wandler. Wird diese Leitung mit +12 Volt Verbunden, so erscheint das Bild auf dem Monitor. Die TV Funktion muß dabei angewählt sein. Anschluss des NF - CD Eingangs am Radiomodul vor BJ 09/2002 bei Radiomodulen mit runden Kontakten (BM 24) Im Lieferumfang des FBAS Wandlers befindet sich ein Chinch Eingang mit 3 Kabelausgängen (rot, weiß und schwarz), sowie eine 10 polige Steckerhülse. Diese Steckerhülse wird nur bei Radiomodulen des Typs BM 24 benötigt. Stecken Sie in diesem Fall die Kabel des Chinch Eingangs in dieser Reihenfolge ein: Kabelfarbe: Weiß -> auf Pin 1 Rot -> auf Pin 2 Schwarz -> auf Pin 3 Bei Fahrzeugen mit BM 54 Radio (Ab 09/2002) wird die 10 polige Steckerhülse nicht benötigt. Hierzu stecken Sie die 3 Kabel in dieser Reihenfolge in den weissen Stecker (Kammer B) am Radiomodul. Weiß auf Pin 8, Rot auf Pin 9 und Schwarz auf Pin 2.

2 Einbauhinweise für den FBAS - > RGB Wandler IF-BMWE38VIN Aufrufen des FBAS Wandler Menüs: Drücken Sie für ca. 2 Sekunden die Menütaste am Bordmonitor. Es erscheint dieses Menü: Videoformat: Hier kann das Bildformat umgestellt werden. Es stehen 4:3 / 16:9 / Zoom und NTSC zur Verfügung. BMW / Mini: Einstellung BMW für die Fahrzeuge E 38 / E39 / E 46 / X3 / X5 / Z3 / Z4 Einstellung Mini für den New Mini CD Emu: Bei Fahrzeugen ohne Aux Eingang Möglichkeit, kann durch Einschalten der CD Emulation bei nicht vorhandenem CD Wechsler der CD Ton Eingang am Radiomodul zur Einspeisung des Audiosignals genutzt werden. Bei vorhandenem CD Wechsler unbedingt ausschalten da es sonst zu Fehlfunktionen im CD Betrieb kommen kann. TV Ton Filter: Diese Funktion bitte bei Nutzung des Aux oder CD Eingangs einschalten. Stecken Sie nun den Chinch-Eingang mit Hilfe der 10 poligen Steckerhülse in die linke untere Kammer des Radiomoduls. Vorher den blauen Sicherungsstift aus dem Radiostecker entfernen. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Pinbelegung der 10 poligen Steckerbuchse mit der Pinbelegung am Radiomodul übereinstimmt.

4 Einbauhinweise für den FBAS - > RGB Wandler IF-BMWE38VIN Fahrzeuge ab BJ 09/2002 Kammer A Kammer B Kammer C Aux Eingang nachrüsten: (Liegt nicht mit bei!) Den Aux Eingang an Kammer C einpinnen (Schwarzer Einsatz). Kabelfarbe Rot ist Pin 3 und 4, Schwarz Pin 10. Eventuell vorhandene Kabel entfernen und zurückbinden. Ein evtl. bereits vorhandener Aux Eingang im Handschuhfach kann nicht mehr genutzt werden. Das 3.5 mm Klinkenkabel des DVB-T Interfaces mit dem Remote-Eingang am Receiver verbinden. Verbinden Sie nun die Bild (Chinch Gelb) und Tonleitungen (Chinch Rot, Chinch Weiß) vom DVB-T Receiver mit dem Aux- Eingang am Radiomodul und dem Bildeingang (Video1) am FBAS Wandler. Montieren Sie die Fahrzeugantennen. Der Einbau ist nun erledigt und das Bild des Tuners kann über die TV Funktion am Bordmonitor angewählt werden.

5 Installation Notes for the FBAS - > RGB Converter IF-BMWE38VIN First of all, the navigation computer must be removed. It is essential that it is switched off: the red LED is off. Not observing this necessity may result in damage to the navigation computer, for which we would not be liable. The navigation computer is removed using two car radio de-locking devices, which are standard in trade practice. (Not included in the scope of delivery). Insert the two de-locking devices into the holes on the right and the left of the navigation computer and gently bend them outwards, simultaneously pulling and removing the instrument. Now pull the blue plug from the navigation computer. Place the FBAS converter harness in the middle. Connect the blue navigation computer plug to the FBAS harness and the FBAS harness socket Now pull the magenta plug from the navigation computer. Locate pin 3 of the plug. You will find a connected 12 volt line. To this you fix the red cable of the FBAS converter harness. The remaining blue line is used to activate the rear view camera input (video 2) on the FBAS converter. If this line is connected to +12 volt, the monitor displays the picture. For this purpose, the TV function must be selected. Connecting the NF - CD input to the radio module, vehicles year of construction before 09/2002, for radio modules with round connections. (BM 24) The FBAS converter scope of delivery includes a chinch input with 3 cable outputs (red, white and black), as well as a 10 pole plug case. This case is only required for BM24 radio modules. The cables of the chinch input should be connected in the following order: Colour of cable: white ->to pin 1 red ->to pin 2 black -> to pin 3 The 10 pole plug case is not needed for vehicles with BM 54 radios (from 09/2002). The 3 cables should be connected to the white plug (chamber B) on the radio module in this order: white to pin 8, red to pin 9 and black to pin 2.

You will see this menu: Video format: You can change the picture format. The available options are 4:3 / 16:9 / Zoom and NTSC. BMW / Mini Setting BMW for vehicles E 38 / E39 / E 46 / X3 / X5 / Z3 / Z4 Setting Mini for the new Mini CD emu: For vehicles without the Aux input option, the CD sound input on the radio module may be used to input the audio signal by switching on the CD emulation, but only in the absence of a CD changer. If there is a CD changer, it must be switched off. Leaving it switched on could lead to the malfunctioning of the CD system. Using the 10 pole plug case, connect the chinch input to the bottom left chamber of the radio module. Before doing this, you should remove the blue locking pin from the radio plug. Make sure that the pin assignment of the 10 pole plug socket corresponds to the pin assignment on the radio module.

Red cable is pins 3 and 4, black is pin 10. Remove and tie back any existing cables. If an Aux input already exists in the glove compartment, it cannot be used any longer. Connect the 3.5 mm DVB-T interface cable with 3.5mm mini jack to the remote input on the receiver. Proceed by connecting the DVB-T receiver picture (chinch yellow) and sound cables (chinch red, chinch white) to the Aux input on the radio module and the picture input (video1) on the FBAS converter. Install the vehicle antennae. Installation is now complete and the tuner picture can be selected using the TV function on the on-board monitor.
