3 4 SYNC OUTLOOK MANUAL SYNC OUTLOOK MANUAL 5 1_INTRODUCTION The QSYNC software is a windows tool to synchronize Outlook contacts with the mobile phone. The program is able to import contacts from VCF-files used by Lotus Notes and other programs. The software runs on Windows operating systems, only. The program can be downloaded at 2_INSTALLATION 4. Navigate to the folder corresponding to your operating system. Note: Windows 7 users please use the folder VISTA. 5. Navigate to the folder corresponding to the processor type used by your computer. Start the installation of the driver by running the file DPInst.exe. Note: If you are using Windows Vista or above, you need to start the file with administrative privileges. To do so, rightclick on the file and choose Run as administrator from the context menu. 6. Follow the instructions of the installation wizard. If the installation of the driver was successful, the following window will appear: 2.1_DOWNLOAD AND PREPARATION The program can be downloaded as a ZIP-archive at After you have downloaded the file, please extract the contents of the ZIP-archive to a folder of your choice. 2.2_INSTALLATION OF THE USB DRIVER For the software to function, the corresponding USB driver needs to be installed first: 1. Navigate to the folder where you have extracted the ZIP-archive into. 2. Navigate to the folder: Install_chose USB_driver_W Depending on your operating system, navigate to the folder Win32 or Win64.

You can test the successful installation of the driver by connecting the phone to the PC and choosing PCsync on the screen of the phone to connect it with the PC. If you open the device manager of your PC, the following drivers should be active: 5. Follow the instructions of the installation wizard. If the instal-lation of the driver was successful, the following window will appear: 3_ INSTALLATION OF THE QSYNC SOFTWARE 6. After a successful installation, the software can by started by double-clicking on the corresponding icon on your desktop. 1. Navigate to the folder where you have extracted the ZIP-archive into. 2. Navigate to the folder Install_chose. 3. Depending on your operating system, navigate to the folder Win32 or Win Start the installation by opening the file QSYNC.exe.

5 8 SYNC OUTLOOK MANUAL SYNC OUTLOOK MANUAL 9 4_HOW TO USE QSYNC TOOL 4.1_SET UP THE CONNECTION Start the software with a double click on the QSYNC icon on your desktop. The following window shows up: After a successful connection between phone and PC, the phone will show synchronization with PC is shown and the marker on the lower left corner of the window of QSYNC on the PC will change from disconnect (red) to connect (green). NOTE This process will take up to 30 seconds. 4.2_MAIN MU To start the synchronization process, click on the arrow on the bottom of the window. This opens up the following menu: Next, please connect the phone with the PC and select PCsync on the screen of the phone: You now have the following choices: MainView This brings you back to the previous menu. Settings Here you can change the language of QSYNC. Phone Book Here you can start the synchronization.

6 10 SYNC OUTLOOK MANUAL SYNC OUTLOOK MANUAL _SYNCHRONIZATION Open up the menu item Phone Book to show the following window: 4.4_IMPORT This button is used to import contacts from MS Outlook or other programs. If you choose this option, a new pop-up window appears. In this new window, you can choose whether to import contacts from MS Outlook directly or in Vcard format (.VCF) used by other programs. Click Import from Outlook, to open the following window: Next, choose the folder where your MS Outlook contacts are stored (per default, this is the folder Contacts). Confirm your choice with OK to copy the contacts into the QSYNC database. Sync: Please click on this button first. In the now appearing pop-up window, you can choose whether to write contacts from the PC to the phone or the other way around. NOTE QSYNC stores contacts in a separate database, so contacts from MS Outlook will not appear by themselves. You have to import them first. WARNING If you choose sync PC to phone QSYNC writes its own data-base to the phone. Contacts on the phone that have not been synchronized with QSYNC will be lost! Now the contacts in the QSYNC database can be synchronized with the phone by clicking on Sync and choosing PC to phone.

7 12 SYNC OUTLOOK MANUAL _EXPORT This button is used to export the QSYNC database into a VCF-file for import into MS outlook and other programs. New You can directly add a new contact to the QSYNC database by using this option. 9 16 SYNC OUTLOOK TITEL DES ANLEITUNG KAPITELS SYNC OUTLOOK ANLEITUNG 17 1_EINLEITUNG Die QSYNC-Software ist ein Windows-Programm, um Outlook- Kontakte mit dem Mobiltelefon zu synchronisieren. Das Programm ist in der Lage, Kontakte aus VCF-Dateien, welche von Lotus Notes und anderen Programmen verwendet werden, zu importieren. Die Software läuft nur auf den Windows-Betriebssystemen. Das Programm kann unter heruntergeladen werden. 4. Wählen Sie den Ordner entsprechend Ihres Prozessortyps. Starten Sie die Installation des Treibers indem Sie die Datei DPInst.exe starten. Hinweis: Wenn Sie Windows Vista oder höher nutzen, dann müssen Sie die Datei mit Administrationsrechten starten. Dafür gehen Sie mit rechtem Mausklick auf die Datei und wählen als Administrator starten. 5. Folgen Sie den Anweisungen des Installationsassistenten. Wenn die Installation des Treibers erfolgreich war, erscheint folgendes Fenster: DE 2_INSTALLATION 2.1_HERUNTERLAD UND VORBEREIT Das Programm kann als ZIP-Archiv auf heruntergeladen werden. Nach dem Herunterladen extrahieren Sie bitte den Inhalt des ZIP-Archivs in einen Ordner Ihrer Wahl. 2.2_INSTALLATION DES USB-TREIBERS Damit die Software funktioniert, muss zunächst der USB-Treiber installiert werden: 1. Gehen Sie in den Ordner wohin Sie das ZIP-Archiv extrahiert haben. 2. Wählen Sie den Ordner Install_chose USB_driver_W715 aus. 3. Abhängig von Ihrem Betriebssystem, wählen Sie den Ordner Win32 oder Win64. Hinweis: Beachten Sie bitte, dass Windows 7-Nutzer den Ordner VISTA auswählen müssen.

10 18 SYNC OUTLOOK ANLEITUNG SYNC OUTLOOK ANLEITUNG Sie können den Erfolg der Installation des Treibers testen indem Sie das Telefon mit dem PC verbinden und PCsync im Bildschirm des Telefons auswählen um sich mit dem PC zu verbinden. Wenn Sie den Treiber-Manager ihres PCs öffnen, sollte folgender Treiber aktiv sein: 3_ INSTALLATION DER QSYNC-SOFTWARE 1. Gehen Sie in den Ordner wohin Sie das ZIP-Archiv extrahiert haben. 2. Wählen Sie den Ordner Install_chose aus. 3. Abhängig von Ihrem Betriebssystem, wählen Sie den Ordner Win32 oder Win Starten Sie die Installation indem Sie die Datei QSYNC.exe öffnen. 5. Folgen Sie den Anweisungen des Installationsassistenten. Wenn die Installation des Treibers erfolgreich war, erscheint folgendes Fenster: DE

11 20 SYNC OUTLOOK ANLEITUNG SYNC OUTLOOK ANLEITUNG Nach erfolgreicher Installation, kann die Software, per Doppelklick auf das entsprechende Symbol auf dem Desktop, gestartet werden. Als nächstes verbinden Sie bitte das Telefon mit dem PC und wählen PCsync im Display Ihres Telefons: DE 4_ ANLEITUNG ZUR VERWDUNG VOM QSYNC TOOL 4.1_VERBINDUNG HERSTELL Starten Sie die Software mit einem Doppelklick auf das QSYNC- Sympol auf Ihrem Desktop. Das folgende Fenster erscheint: Nach erfolgreicher Verbindung zwischen Telefon und PC, zeigt das Telefon Synchronisation mit dem PC an und das Lämpchen in der unteren linken Ecke des Fensters ändert sich von nicht verbunden (rot) in verbunden (grün). HINWEIS Dieser Vorgang kann bis zu 30 Sekunden dauern.

12 22 SYNC OUTLOOK ANLEITUNG SYNC OUTLOOK ANLEITUNG _HAUPTMÜ Um die Synchronisation zu starten, gehen Sie auf den Pfeil am unteren Rand des Fensters. Dadurch öffnet sich folgendes Menü: 4.3_ SYNCHRONISATION Öffnen Sie den Menüpunkt Telefonbuch um folgendes Fenster anzuzeigen: DE Sie haben nun die folgende Auswahl: Hauptmenü Dieses bringt Sie zurück zum vorherigen Menü. Einstellungen Hier können Sie die Sprache von QSYNC ändern. Telefonbuch Hier können Sie die Synchronisation starten. Sync: Bitte klicken Sie erst auf diese Schaltfläche. HINWEIS Im geöffnetem Pop-up-Fenster können Sie nun auswählen ob Sie die Kontakte vom PC auf das Telefon spielen wollen oder anders herum. QSYNC speichert alle Kontakte in einer seperaten Datenbank, d.h. die Kontakte von MS Outlook werden nicht von selber erscheinen. Sie müssen diese erst importieren. WARNUNG Wenn Sie sync PC zu Telefon wählen, schreibt QSYNC seine eigene Datenbank auf dem Telefon. Telefonkontakte, die nicht mit QSYNC synchronisiert wurden gehen dadurch verloren!

13 24 SYNC OUTLOOK ANLEITUNG SYNC OUTLOOK ANLEITUNG _IMPORT Diese Schaltfläche wird genutzt zum Importieren von MS-Outlook- Kontakten oder Kontakte anderer Programme. Wenn Sie diese Option wählen, öffnet sich ein neues Pop-up-Fenster. In diesem neuen Fenster können Sie wählen ob Sie die Kontakte direkt aus MS Outlook oder in Vcard Format (.VCF), welches von anderen Programmen verwendet werden, importieren wollen. Klicken Sie aus Outlook importieren um folgendes Fenster zu öffnen: 4.5_EXPORT Diese Schaltfläche wird verwendet um die QSYNC Datenbank in VCF-Dateien zu exportieren, um diese in MS Outlook oder andere Programme zu importieren. Als nächstes wählen Sie den Ordner aus, wo Sie Ihre MS Outlook Kontakte gespeichert haben (standardmäßig ist dies der Ordner Kontakte). Bestätigen Sie Ihre Auswahl mit OK um die Kontakte in die QSYNC Datenbank zu kopieren. Neu Sie können auch direkt einen neuen Kontakt zur QSYNC Datenbank hinzufügen indem Sie diese Option wählen. Löschen Nutzen Sie diese Schaltfläsche um einen Kontakt aus der QSYNC Datenbank zu löschen. Nun können die Kontakte in der QSYNC Datenbank mit dem Telefon synchronisiert werden indem man unter Sync vom PC auf das Telefon auswählt.
