LPIS Update (3-years-cycle) Semi-automatic procedure Using software Definiens ecognition Selection of farmer s blocks with irregularities/abnormalities In use since 2011 (tests in 2010) Implementation and Results: About 95 % of all irregularities were detected Applying thresholds to select major irregularities and reducing administrative burdens Manuel checks are followed-up for all parcels with irregularities % of all farmer s blocks were selected as irregular but only 50 % of these are actual irregularities Folie 4 Workshop on Copernicus and the CAP 17 th March

7 Proposals, Simplification (2) Implementation of automatic methods (legalization) with the goal to simplify und reduce (manually) administrative burdens Checks of delineation, crop-type, size, EFA-Type etc. OTCs or administrative checks only if the system detects any anomaly/anomalies Is there still a necessity for a reference system?
