1 s Product Information Control Units CU240S Power Modules PM250 / PM260 Edition 11/2006 A5E A Overview This product information sheet describes the behavior of inverters with Control Units CU240S (Software version V2.1), that are not described in the associated documentation (Operating Instructions Edition 11/2006, Parameter Manual Edition 11/2006, Hardware Installation Manuals for the Power Modules). This product information contains amendments to the Operating Instructions ", Control Units CU240S, Software 2.1, Edition 11/06" to the Hardware Installation Manual ", Power Module PM250, Edition 11/06" General Electrostatic Sensitive Devices (ESD) Static discharges on surfaces or interfaces that are not generally accessible (e.g. terminal or connector pins) can cause malfunctions or defects. Therefore, when working with inverters or inverter components, ESD protective measures should be observed. IP30 Rating In order to achieve the requirements of IP30 (as specified by EN , section ) this equipment must be installed within a protective enclosure, such as an equipment cubicle.

2 Operating Instructions Control Units Motor overload protection This equipment is capable of providing internal motor overload protection in accordance with UL508C. Refer to P0610 (level 3) and P0335. I2T is On by default and may be adjusted to a maximum of 400% of motor full load current or maximum drive output whichever is lower. Motor overload protection can also be provided using an external PTC via a digital input. Disabling the motor overload feature may compromise compliance with the National Electrical Code. Change of PROFIBUS Address using P0918 Note If changing the PROFIBUS address using P0918, then a power cycle is necessary for the Control Unit CU240S to make the PROFIBUS Address effective. The following notes affect the Control Units CU240S DP-F only Safely-Limited Speed To figure in table : Note Actual frequency in the diagram below as well as in the diagrams of section "Failsafe functions" stands for actual inverter output frequency (r0066) not for actual motor frequency. By SLS activation under SLS limit point SLS activated and point SLS reached are the same. The actual frequency will be monitored to the upper SLS limit (P9691, P9891) without the ramp. For Case 1: SLS monitoring (p9691/p9891) > Frequency setpoint > SLS setpoint is valid, that p9772 bit 5 is switched over as p9772 bit 4. II

Diese Produktinformation enthält Ergänzungen zur Betriebsanleitung ", Control Units CU240S, Software 2.1, Ausgabe 11/06" zum Montagehandbuch ", Power Module PM250, Ausgabe 11/06" Allgemein Elektrostatisch gefährdete Bauteile (EGB) Bei statischen Entladungen auf nicht allgemein zugänglichen Oberflächen oder Schnittstellen (z. B. Klemmen- oder Steckerkontakten) können Fehlfunktionen oder Defekte auftreten. Deshlalb sollten die EGB-Schutzmaßnahmen beim Arbeiten mit Umrichtern bzw. Umrichterkomponenten beachtet werden. Schutzart IP30 Um die Schutzart IP30 zu gewährleisten (gemäß EN , Abschnitt ) müssen die Geräte mit einem entsprechenden Schutz montiert sein oder in einem Schutzschrank eingebaut werden.

5 Betriebsanleitung Control Units Motorüberalstschutz Dieses Gerät bietet internen Motorüberlastschutz in Übereinstimmung mit UL508C. (siehe Parameter P0610 (Zugriffsstufe 3) und P0335). I2t-Schutz steht gemäß Voreinstellung auf EIN. Der Wert kann auf maximal 400 % des niedrigeren Wertes aus maximalem Motorlaststrom und maximalen Umrichterausgangsstrom eingestellt werden. Der Motorüberlastschutz kann auch mit einen externen KTY84 oder PTC über einen Digitaleingang sichergestellt werden. Den Motorüberlastschutz zu deaktivieren, kann auch dazu führen, dass die Übereinstimmung mit nationalen Elektrischen Vorschriften nicht mehr gewährleistet ist. Ändern der PROFIBUS Adresse über P0918 Hinweis Wenn die PROFIBUS-Adresse über P0918 geändert wird, muss die Control Unit aus- und wieder eingeschaltet werden, damit die neue Adresse wirksam wird. Die folgenden Hinweise betreffen nur die Control Units CU240S DP-F! Sicher begrenzte Drehzahl Zu den Bildern in Tabelle : Hinweis Istfrequenz bezeichnet in der obigen Abbildung wie auch in den Bildern des Abschnitts "Fehlersichere Funktionen" den Istwert der Umrichter-Ausgangsfrequenz (r0066) und nicht die Motor-Istfrequenz. Bei Aktivierung von SLS sind die obere SLS-Grenze und SLS erreicht identisch. Die aktuelle Frequenz wird mit oberer SLS-Grenze (P9691, P9891) ohne Rampe überwacht. Für Fall 1: SLS-Überwachung (P9691/P9891) > Frequenzsollwert > SLS-Sollwert gilt, dass p9772 Bit 5 entsprechend p9772 Bit 4 geschaltet wird: II

6 Montagehandbuch Power Module PM250 / PM260 Generatorischer Betrieb Beim Auslegen des Umrichters muss beachtet werden, dass auch bei maximaler generatorischer Energie, 100 % des Umrichternennstroms nicht überschritten werden, da andernfalls die Motorsteuerung nicht gewährleistet werden kann. III
