2 Introduction Thank you for purchasing the LINDY USB 2.0 Cat.5 Extender for 2 PCs. This extender is composed of a transmitting unit with 3 USB ports and a receiving unit with 7 USB ports and enables two USB host devices to send data up to 100 metres. Place the local extender near the computer(s). Install the supplied USB cable between the local extender and USB port on the host computer(s). USB Type B connectors are used to connect the local extender unit to the host computer. 2. Connect the supplied 5VDC 2A power adapter to the local unit. 3. Place the remote extender near the USB device(s) in the desired remote location. 4. Connect the supplied 5VDC 3.5A power adapter to the remote unit. 5. Connect the local to the remote extender by using a Cat.5 (or better) cable (not included!). To switch between the two PCs, please push the button on the transmitter and wait about 5 seconds. Schließen Sie das beiliegende 5VDC 3.5A Netzteil am Empfänger an. 5. Verbinden Sie dann Sender und Empfänger über ein Cat.5 (oder höher) Kabel (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten!). Zum Umschalten zwischen den 2 Computern drücken Sie bitte auf den Schalter auf der Sendeeinheit und warten ca. 5 Sekunden. 7 Recycling Information WEEE (Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment), Recycling of Electronic Products United Kingdom In 2006 the European Union introduced regulations (WEEE) for the collection and recycling of all waste electrical and electronic equipment. It is no longer allowable to simply throw away electrical and electronic equipment. Instead, these products must enter the recycling process. Each individual EU member state has implemented the WEEE regulations into national law in slightly different ways.
