Some facts INTERCULTURAL TRAINING for labour market actors: The Network IQ offered in 2015 approx. 900 courses and trained 13,000 representatives of public employment services, local administrations, vocational training providers and business (esp. SMEs). Approx. 200 of those courses (3,000 participants) for the public employment services had a specific focus on the needs of refugees 6
The Approach Culture-general" approaches are not targeted on a particular culture. Instead, they are concerned with "universal categories" which function as general characteristics of cultures in general. Intercultural competences aim at freeing people from their own logic and cultural idioms in order to engage with others and listen to their ideas, which may involve belonging to one or more cultural systems, particularly if they are not valued or recognized in a given socio-political context. 7
