6 Salone del mobile Alias al Salone del Mobile di Milano 2011 con un allestimento che esprime con forza l identità del marchio. Uno spazio interamente giocato su spaghetti chair, pezzo icona di Alias, utilizzata come materiale da costruzione. Più spaghetti chair agganciate fra loro compongono le pareti. Una suggestiva struttura in acciaio cromato e tondino di PVC grigio chiaro, in un grande sistema ad incastro composto da 700 sedute. All interno dell allestimento, sono poste le novità Tutti i prodotti sono appoggiati su un piano luminoso lungo 15 metri accanto a teche che raccontano le diverse fasi evolutive di ogni progetto. Una sorta di backstage, per raccontare il percorso di ricerca e di sperimentazione che ha portato allo sviluppo delle diverse collezioni. La narrazione evolve con un dinamico scenario: sopra ogni prodotto galleggiano sospese le varie componenti che caratterizzano ogni singola collezione. Il racconto si completa nell area riservata ai clienti dove sono esposte le novità 2011 nelle loro varianti cromatiche e materiche. Alias exhibits at the 2011 Salone del Mobile in Milan, with an installation that epitomises the dynamic personality of the brand. The space is creatively inspired by the spaghetti chair, an iconic Alias product. The famous chair has been used as a building-block, with the stand s walls composed of interconnected spaghetti chairs. A striking structure in chrome steel and light grey PVC; the walls form an interlocking system made up of 700 chairs. Within the installation, the 2011 collection is displayed on a 15 metrelong table. All products stand on a luminous surface alongside glass display cases, which examine both the initial inspiration and the various development phases of each project. A behind-the-scenes view; revealing the process of research and experimentation during the development of the collection. The story unfolds in a dynamic display, as the various components which characterise each collection float suspended above the final product. The story culminates at the back of the installation, in an area specially reserved for customers, and where the new 2011 products are shown in their various colour ranges and materials. 4

7 Alias auf der Salone del Mobile in Mailand 2011 mit einem Messestand, der die Identität der Marke kraftvoll zum Ausdruck bringt. Eine Praesentation, bei der es sich vollständig um die Alias Ikone, den Spaghetti Chair, dreht. Der berühmte Stuhl als Bauelement. 700 miteinander verbundene Spaghetti Chairs bilden die Wände. Eine beeindruckende Struktur aus Chromstahl und hellgrauer PVC-Schnur. Im Messestand steht ein 15 m langer Tisch mit den Neuheiten Alle Produkte befinden sich auf einer beleuchteten Fläche neben Schaukästen, in denen die verschiedenen Entwicklungsund Planungsphasen der einzelnen Objekte dargestellt sind. Eine Art Backstage, zur Illustration der Forschungsarbeiten und der Versuche, bei denen die verschiedenen Kollektionen entstanden. Die Darstellung ist eingebettet in ein dynamisches Szenario: über jedem Produkt schweben die unterschiedlichen Komponenten der einzelnen Kollektionen. Komplettiert wird das Ganze im hinteren Abschnitt des Aufbaus, wo die Neuheiten 2011 in den verschiedenen Farb- und Materialvarianten ausgestellt sind. Alias expose au Salone del Mobile de Milan Son stand exprime avec force l identité de la marque. Un espace qui joue entièrement sur la spaghetti chair, icône Alias. La célèbre chaise est utilisée comme matériau de construction. 700 spaghetti chairs accrochées les unes aux autres forment les murs. Une structure suggestive en acier chromé et fil en PVC gris clair. À l intérieur du stand, sont exposées les nouveautés pour Tous les produits reposent sur un plateau lumineux, à côté de vitrines relatant les différentes étapes de l évolution et la genèse de chaque produit. Comme si l on entrait dans les coulisses de chaque création pour percer à jour le secret de la recherche et de l expérimentation ayant conduit à l aboutissement des différentes collections. La narration se déroule selon un scénario dynamique : au-dessus de chaque produit flottent en effet, en suspension, les différents composants qui caractérisent chaque collection. Le récit s achève au bout du stand, où sont exposées les nouveautés 2011 dans leurs variantes chromatiques et matiériques. Alias op het Salone del Mobile van Milaan Met een inrichting die de identiteit van het merk op krachtige wijze uitdrukt. Een ruimte die volledig speelt rond spaghetti chair, icoonstuk van Alias. Meerdere spaghetti chairs die aan elkaar gekoppeld zijn vormen de wanden. Een suggestieve constructie van verchroomd staal en rond PVC-draad in een groot verbindingssysteem bestaande uit 700 stoelen. Binnenin de inrichting, staan de nieuwigheden Alle producten staan op het verlichte tafelblad, naast vitrines die het verhaal vertellen over de verschillende ontwikkelingsfasen en het ontstaan van elk project. Een soort van kijkje achter de schermen van dat vertelt over het onderzoekstraject en de experimenten die tot de ontwikkeling van de verschillende collecties hebben geleid. Het verhaal ontwikkelt zich via een dynamisch scenario: boven elk product zweven de diverse componenten die kenmerkend zijn voor elke afzonderlijke collectie. Het verhaal wordt voltooid op de vloer van de inrichting waar de nieuwigheden van 2011 in al hun chromatische en materiële verscheidenheden worden getoond. 5

8 Alias Shop In occasione del Salone del Mobile 2011, Alias Shop in corso Monforte 19 a Milano accoglie il pubblico in uno spazio intimo e vissuto, allestito e pensato come una casa. Una dimensione calda e avvolgente fin dalle vetrine, con la poltrona di Pio Manzù nella riedizione realizzata da Alias. Forme dinamiche, la morbidezza della pelle, contrasti bianco e nero. Accanto ad essa, una serie di pezzi progettati da Pio Manzù negli anni 60, insieme a schizzi e disegni in scala 1:1 di un automobile e di altri suoi oggetti. Negli spazi all interno Alias Shop si sviluppa come un grande loft animato da diverse situazioni domestiche, dove protagonisti sono i nuovi arredi e collezioni proposte per il Nella teca centrale del negozio in scena SEC, presentato come un grande esploso. Si valorizza così la ricchezza di un progetto che diventa ancora più completo con una versione angolare e una serie di pannelli in legno. To mark the Salone del Mobile 2011, Alias Shop welcomes the public to its showroom in corso Monforte 19 in Milan. A cosy, liveable space which has been conceived and furnished as a real home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, beginning from the window displays which show Pio Manzù s armchair design newly released by Alias, with its dynamic lines, soft leather and contrasts of black and white. Alongside the chair are a series of products designed by Pio Manzù in the sixties, together with sketches and 1:1 scale drawings which include an automobile among other objects. Once inside Alias Shop, the space extends to a large loft, punctuated by various domestic roomsets, showcasing the new furniture collections presented for The showroom s central display is dedicated to the SEC shelf system, presented as a giant deconstructed diagram, allowing visitors to appreciate the infinite combinations offered by the collection, now even more flexible with newly added corner configurations and a series of wood panels. 6

9 Zum Anlass der Möbelmesse 2011 empfängt der Alias Shop im Corso Monforte 19 in Mailand Besucher in einem intimen und gemütlichen Raum, der wie ein Haus eingerichtet und organisiert ist. Eine warme und herzliche Umgebung, beginnend bei den Schaufenstern, mit dem Sessel von Pio Manzù in der von Alias geschaffenen Neuausgabe. Dynamische Formen, weiches Leder, Schwarz- Weiß-Kontraste. Daneben eine Reihe von Pio Manzù in den 60er Jahren entworfener Stücke, Skizzen und Entwürfe eines Autos und anderer Objekte im Maßstab 1:1. In den Räumen des Alias Shops entwickelt sich ein Loft mit unterschiedlichen Wohnungssituationen. Hier stehen die für 2011 präsentierten Einrichtungen und Kollektionen von Alias im Mittelpunkt. Im zentralen Schaukasten des Geschäfts wird SEC als großes Modell in Einzelteilen präsentiert. So wird der reiche Inhalt eines Projekts valorisiert, das mit Hilfe einer Eck-Ausführung und einer Reihe von Holzpaneelen noch vollständiger wird. À l occasion du Salon du Meuble 2011, Alias Shop, situé corso Monforte 10 à Milan, accueille le public dans un espace intime et vivant, aménagé et conçu comme une maison. Une dimension chaleureuse et enveloppante dès la vitrine, avec le fauteuil de Pio Manzù dans sa réédition proposée par Alias. Formes dynamiques, douceur du cuir, contraste du noir et du blanc. À côté, une série de pièces conçues par Pio Manzù dans les années 60, avec des croquis et des dessins à l échelle 1:1 d une voiture et de plusieurs autres créations. The sophisticated hydro-forming process allows for continual variations in the aluminium crosssections, greatly reducing use of material. The most innovative aspect of hydrochair lies in its combination of hydro-formed and pressure-cast aluminium; a technological hybrid that maximises properties of lightness and strength. These aesthetic and physical characteristics are fundamental to a chair that lends itself to being frequently moved about and stacked. 18
