21 Forty German anglers met aboard Germany s best known angling boat, the MS Forelle, to jointly test BALENO s Nordic floatation suit. Matthias Wendt from Germany s biggest fishing magazine, Blinker, was along as well as our sport fishing consultant, Rob Langford. Everyone was suited with a brand new Nordic floatation suit, the idea being to get 40 opinions from 40 enthusiasts. The anglers were so motivated that the only complaint was that the weather was too good! Although the Nordic is very reasonably priced it is made to the same standards as all our other floatation suits. The seams are welded, and the outer material is made out of heavy weight, 100% waterproof, Oxford 300D nylon, the suits are lined and quild with a storm hood and all the usual Baleno refinements, and of course the suits comply fully with EN 393 with a minimum total buoyancy of 50N. Fortunately they have a full length zip in the front so that although the fishing was hot the anglers stayed cool and comfortable. On that day, the anglers caught a total of about 250 cod.
