9 Gas spring characteristics How gas springs work gas spring is a hydropneumatic adjustment element consisting of a pressure cylinder, piston rod with piston, as well as suitable end fittings. Federkennlinie und F 1-Kraft Die Federkennlinie beschreibt den Kraftverlauf der Gasfeder über den, d.h. vom ausgeschobenen zum eingeschobenen Zustand bzw. umgekehrt. Gasfedern haben einen sehr flachen, annähernd linearen Kennlinienverlauf und ermöglichen so eine gleichmäßig komfortable Verstellung bzw. Schwenkbewegung. Die F 1-Kraft ist neben den bmessungen das wichtigste beschreibende Merkmal zur uswahl einer Gasfeder.
