Edited the Max-Planck-Institut Hamburg in conjunction with Rainer Kulms. International Privatrechts (German Court Rulings in Private International Law), abbreviated IPRspr, is a collection of judicial decisions which has been edited by the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law since it was founded in 1926. Its goal is to print all of the complete rulings made by German courts on private international law including international civil procedural law (private international law in a broader sense). One volume of the IPRspr, which appears approximately one and a half years after the conclusion of the period under review, contains the entire German court rulings on private international law for one year. The user has this at his ngertips and does not have to search for scattered and frequently incomplete reprints in more or less inaccessible journals. This is especially useful in private international law, which is continually confronted with questions from all elds of private law and in which it is di cult to keep track of the various issues. Thus scholars and practitioners see the IPRspr as an indispensable aid in German private international law. The overview of the all the rulings makes it possible to make reliable statements on German court practice and supports the scholarly analysis of private international law.
