Es kann nach dem Baukastenprinzip variabel zusammengesetzt werden und besteht hauptsächlich aus drei bis vier Komponenten: dem Trägermaterial (Leiterplatten), Verbindern, dem OLED Modul und/oder LED-Modul. Mit Cluster + werden die beiden zukunftsträchtigen Leuchtmittel OLED und LED mit ihren jeweiligen Vorteilen genutzt und in einem System ideal vereint. Die LED konzentriert ihre Lichtleistung auf einen winzigen Punkt; bei der OLED-Technologie werden ganze Flächen zum Leuchten gebracht. Daraus ergeben sich vielfältige Einsatzmöglichkeiten. Während man bei den LEDs durch den Einsatz von lichtbündelnden Linsen zielgerichtetes Licht auf einer Fläche erzeugen kann, ist die OLED eher dazu geeignet, ein gleichmäßiges Grundlicht im Raum zu verteilen. Wir bieten fertige Leuchtensets an; zusätzlich hat der Kunde die Möglichkeit, seine Leuchte nach eigenen Bedürfnissen individuell zu gestalten. Mentre con i LED si può generare luce mirata su una superficie mediante l impiego di lenti che concentrano la luce, l OLED è invece più adatto a distribuire nella stanza un illuminazione di base uniforme. Project Stemmer Imaging Im Rahmen einer Modernisierung der Firmenräume durch den Architekten Andreas Hartl und die Innenarchitektin Edda Reisinger bat uns die Firma STEMMER IMAGING ein Lichtkonzept für die neu gestaltete Eingangshalle und das circa 13 m hohe Treppenauge des Firmensitzes in Puchheim zu entwerfen. Die Lichtskulptur sollte das Image und das enorme technische Know-how der Firma STEMMER IMAGING widerspiegeln. Cluster + mit seinen vielfältigen Einsatzmöglichkeiten schien mir für die Umsetzung meiner Idee ideal. Die Lichtskulptur sollte ein Zentrum bilden, das sich von unten bis oben durchs Treppenauge zieht, die Etagen miteinander verbindend. 100 Cluster-Module wurden an 100 Seilen im Treppenauge in unterschiedlichen Höhen positioniert, die Seile durch lange, schlanke Gewichte gespannt. Den Abschluss am Dach bildet eine schwarz eloxierte Aluminiumplatte. Bei der Anordnung der Module haben wir auf eine Gegenbewegung zur vorhandenen Laufrichtung der Treppe geachtet. Die Idee des Auf- und Absteigens wird durch diese Struktur symbolisiert. Aus der Ferne betrachtet scheinen die einzelnen Cluster zu schweben. Bei 100 Cluster-Modulen erreicht die Lichtinstallation 28000 lm bei 600 W. Die einzelnen Module mit unterschiedlicher Lichtrichtung werden mit einem Zufallsgenerator geschaltet, unter Berücksichtigung der Tages- und Jahreszeiten. Durch diesen an das Tageslicht angepassten, sehr langsamen Wechsel erreichen wir unterschiedliche Lichtstimmungen. Um bei eventuell anfallenden Wartungsarbeiten jedes einzelne Cluster-Modul erreichen zu können, ist die Lichtinstallation mithilfe eines Elektromotors drehbar. Ben Wirth Februar 2011 Dans le cadre d une modernisation de ses bureaux par l architecte Andreas Hartl et l architecte d intérieur Edda Reisinger, l entreprise STEMMER IMAGING nous demanda de développer un concept d éclairage pour le hall d entrée modifié et la cage d escalier, haute d environ 13 m, du siège social de Puchheim. La sculpture de lumière devait refléter l image et l énorme savoir-faire technique de l entreprise STEMMER IMAGING. Cluster +, avec ses multiples possibilités d application, m apparut idéal pour la réalisation de mon idée. La sculpture de lumière devait créer un centre s étendant dans toute la cage d escalier, reliant ainsi les étages les uns aux autres. 100 modules Cluster furent positionnés sur 100 câbles à des hauteurs différentes dans la cage d escalier; les câbles, eux, étant tendus par de longs poids étroits. Une plaque d aluminium anodisée noire au plafond achève l œuvre. Lors du positionnement des modules, nous avons veillé à un mouvement opposé au sens de rotation de l escalier. Cette structure symbolise l idée de montée et de descente. Avec du recul, les modules Cluster semblent flotter. Avec 100 modules Cluster, l installation de lumière atteint 28000 lm pour 600 W. Chaque module, avec une direction d éclairage différente, est commandé séparément par un générateur aléatoire, tenant compte de l heure de la journée et des saisons. Par ce changement très lent, adapté à la lumière du jour, nous obtenons des ambiances de lumières différentes. Dans le cas d éventuels travaux de maintenance, l installation de lumière peut être pivotée grâce à un moteur électrique, pour pouvoir accéder à chacun des modules Cluster. Ben Wirth Février 2011 In the course of the modernization of the company s offices by architect Andreas Hartl and interior designer Edda Reisinger, STEMMER IMAGING asked us to develop a lighting concept for the redesigned entrance area and the stairwell (about 13 m in height) of their headquarters in Puchheim. The light sculpture was to reflect the image and the enormous technical know-how of STEMMER IMAGING. Cluster +, with its wide range of possible applications, seemed to be the ideal choice to realize my idea. The light sculpture was to create a center for the stairwell, all the way from the ground floor to the ceiling, connecting the individual floors with one another. 100 Clusters on 100 wires were positioned in the stairwell, in different heights, with long and slender weights giving tension to the wires. The sculpture ends in a black, anodized aluminium plate on the ceiling. In positioning the modules, we took care to counter the direction of the staircase, thus symbolizing the idea of ascending and descending in the sculpture s structure. Seen from afar, the modules appear to float in the air. With 100 Cluster modules, the installation reaches a light output of 28000 lm at 600 watts. The individual modules with different light directions are controlled by a random generator, taking into account the time of day and the seasons. With this very slow change, adapted to the daylight conditions, we achieve different lighting moods. In order to be able to easily reach each of the modules if the need for maintenance work should arise, the whole installation can be rotated with the help of an electric motor. Ben Wirth February 2011 In occasione dell opera di modernizzazione della sede aziendale a Puchheim, progettata dagli architetti Edda Reisinger e Andreas Hartl, la STEMMER IMAGING ci ha proposto di elaborare un piano di illuminazione per l ingresso e l anima della scala, alta circa 13 metri, da poco ristrutturati. La scultura di luci intendeva rispecchiare l immagine e l enorme know how tecnico dell azienda STEMMER IMAGING. Cluster +, con le sue molteplici possibilità di impiego, mi è sembrata la soluzione ideale per la realizzazione della mia idea. La scultura di luci avrebbe formato un centro che si estende per tutta l anima della scala, collegando i piani inferiori con quelli superiori. 100 moduli Cluster + sono stati posizionati su 100 cavi all interno dell anima della scala ad altezze differenti; i cavi vengono tirati da lunghi pesi sottili. Una lastra di alluminio anodizzata di colore nero definisce la parte finale del soffitto. Per la disposizione dei moduli abbiamo prestato attenzione al movimento contrario del senso di rotazione della scala. Questa struttura sta a simbolizzare l idea del salire e dello scendere. Da lontano ogni singolo sistema luminoso Cluster + sembra fluttuare nel vuoto. Con 100 moduli Cluster l impianto di illuminazione raggiunge i 28000 lumen con 600 watt. I singoli moduli, con direzione luminosa differente, vengono azionati da un generatore di numeri casuali che ha come riferimento le ore della giornata e le stagioni. In questo modo, adattandosi lentamente alla luce del giorno, riusciamo ad ottenere diversi effetti di luce. In caso di lavori di manutenzione l impianto di illuminazione può essere ruotato grazie a un motore elettrico, al fine di poter raggiungere ogni singolo modulo Cluster +. Ben Wirth Febbraio 2011 23
