PRESS RELEASE 2015-04-20 PEGAS: Successful launch of ZEE Gas Spot and Futures New PEGAS Spot index on ZTP Leipzig, Paris, 20 April 2015 PEGAS, the pan-european gas trading platform operated by Powernext, has successfully launched physically settled Spot and Futures contracts, quoted in pence per therms, for the Belgian Zeebrugge Beach (ZEE) gas hub on 17 April 2015. On the same day, a Daily Average Price index for the Zeebrugge Trading Point (ZTP) in Euros per Megawatt-Hour was introduced. The first transaction was completed on the first trading day at 08:49 AM CET on ZEE May 2015 contract at 45.025 pence per therm with a volume of 25,000 therms. This represented the first cleared Futures trade ever made on the Zeebrugge hub. 14 trading members are set up for trading of the new products, with more members currently in the process of being admitted. With the addition of the new ZEE contracts and with the ZTP and ZTPL (ZTP L-gas) products launched in July 2014, PEGAS is offering new trading opportunities through the widest range of products in two of the most important European hubs, comments Dr. Egbert Laege, CEO of Powernext. Moreover, PEGAS is now providing a new ZTP Daily Average Price (DAP) index which is the weighted average of all transactions during a trading day. April 2015 PEGAS, die von Powernext betriebene Gashandelsplattform, hat am 17. April 2015 erfolgreich den Handel von physisch erfüllten Kontrakten für das Marktgebiet Zeebrügge Beach (ZEE) am Spot - und Terminmarkt gestartet. Die neuen Produkte werden in pence per therm gehandelt. Am selben Tag wurde ein neuer Index für den Tagesdurchschnittspreis im Marktgebiet Zeebrügge Trading Point (ZTP) in Euro pro Megawattstunde eingeführt. Die erste Transaktion im Marktgebiet ZEE für die Lieferung im Mai 2015 wurde am ersten Handelstag um 8:49 Uhr mit einem Preis von 45,025 pence/therm und einem Volumen von 25.000 therm getätigt. Dies ist das erste börsliche Terminmarktgeschäft, das in diesem Marktgebiet abgeschlossen wurde. Momentan sind 14 Teilnehmer zum Handel der neuen Produkte zugelassen, weitere befinden sich aktuell im Zulassungsprozess. Mit den neuen Produkten für das Marktgebiet ZEE und den Kontrakten für ZTP und ZTPL (ZTP L-Gas), die wir bereits im Juli 2014 eingeführt haben, stellt PEGAS die breiteste Produktpalette für zwei der wichtigsten europäischen Gashubs und bietet damit völlig neue Möglichkeiten für den Handel, so Dr. Egbert Laege, CEO der Powernext. Zusätzlich stellt PEGAS ab sofort einen neuen Daily Average Price (DAP) Index für das Marktgebiet ZTP zur Verfügung.
