positionable projection systems positionierbare projektionssysteme The Catalyst by High End Systems, in combination with high end projectors, opens up new dimensions for the editing and display of images, presentations and animations. The real-time animation of moving and static images as well as the zooming within complete image sequences are easily realized by using this system. The complete system includes a computer unit (media server) and a mirror head. The animations and several attributes of the projection are controlled by a DMX control console. Thus it is possible to scale up and down or to rotate 3-axially. Moreover, the image above the periscope head can be moved and rotated in any orientation. The Catalyst Media Server includes a library of maximal 65,000 image files. This library provides most of the popular gobos of the lighting field as well as numerous quicktime-movies, naturally it can be extended by logos, product films, animations and more. Additionally, a live video signal can be fed into the media server and it can be edited in real time. The high-resolution graphic and movie files can be shown unmodified and directly by the DMX control console. The files are transferred to the projector and by the periscope mirror system (per setting of DMX control), the projection can be deflected to any orientation. This procedure can be made live as well as completely pre-programmed. The synchronous display of projection and other show elements is guaranteed by timecode. The Catalyst system offers nearly unlimited possibilities to lighting industries and an unexpected flexibility to the multimedia industries. Die Echtzeitanimation von bewegten und statischen Bildern sowie das Zoomen innerhalb von ganzen Bildsequenzen sind mit diesem System einfach möglich. Über ein Lichtsteuerpult werden die Bewegungen und die verschiedenen Attribute der Projektion gesteuert. So kann z.b. das Projektionsbild gedehnt, gestaucht und sogar auf drei Achsen gedreht werden. If requested the images can be showed on several screens or monitors. The user not the technology decides if the total image appears widely, highly or as an irregular shape. On demand, WATCHOUT generates software maskings for overlapping projection areas maintaining the combined resolution of all projectors or monitors. Thus pixelization effects often associated with video large format projections or video walls can be avoided. According to requirements, the overall picture is composed of any separate images allowing the overlapping of adjacent areas (softedge blending). The software generates image sequences creating a seamless panorama without transitions. But, the display on monitors or plasmas can also be without blending (hardedge).
