Risk Management System Landscape SAP recommends that that three installations of Risk Management be installed one each for the following purpose: DEV: All modifications, upgrades, and additions are first made to the development system. QA: Once the changes have been stabilized on the development system, they are transported to the quality assurance system for testing with a subset or snapshot of the production data and then to PRD: The production system for actual use Enterprise Portal installations should be deployed accordingly to support this landscape SAP 2008 / Page 7

The User Interface and Web Dynpro Web Dynpro is SAP's strategic approach to build professional User Interface s for applications running in a browser Web Dynpro is SAP's strategic approach to build content for SAP Netweaver Portal Web Dynpro allows for the User Interface to be de-coupled from the backend. This allows multiple user interfaces for the same backend business objects and process logic Risk Management uses Web Dynpro as the User Interface SAP 2008 / Page 9

Risk Management User Interface Internet Browser Web Dynpro Client RM Application RM Application RM Application Web Dynpro Runtime AS ABAP The Risk Management User Interface has been developed using ABAP Web Dynpro technology One major advantage of using Web Dynpro is that it is platform independent SAP 2008 / Page 10

What is Netweaver Portal? SAP Netweaver Portal is SAP's strategic platform to access all SAP applications via a Web browser The Portal allows Web Dynpro User Interfaces to be displayed End User The Portal is role-based, a user only sees functionality that pertains to their job. The Role determines what a user can see and do within the Portal. The user is excluded from viewing functionality that is not part of their job SAP 2008 / Page 12

Netweaver Portal People Platform Content Netweaver Portal allows a company to integrate information, applications, and services on a browser-based user interface SAP 2008 / Page 13

Risk Management and Netweaver Portal In order to enable the Risk Management Portal Content a System Alias is used. This defines the Risk Management backend Currently the Portal Content for Risk Management only recognizes a single specific System Alias which is SAP_GRM One System Alias means the Portal can only be used to connect to one single client of Risk Management backend SAP 2008 / Page 17

Risk Management and Netweaver Portal II CRM Dev Client 200 CRM Dev Client 250 CRM QA Client 275 ERP Dev Client 100 RM Dev Client 300 ERP Dev Client 150 Enterprise Portal RM Dev Client 350 ERP QA Client 175 One Portal Installation is needed for every Risk Management Client RM QA Client 375 SAP 2008 / Page 18

Multiple Portal Installations It is possible to install multiple SAP NetWeaver Portals on one physical server. Multiple portal installations on one single server are recommended for testing purposes only where hardware sizing is not crucial. Additional portals can also be installed on separate SAP NetWeaver AS systems. The portal is installed on a SAP NetWeaver Application Server (AS-Java) using the standard installation procedure.
