Risk Management System Landscape SAP recommends that that three installations of Risk Management be installed one each for the following purpose: DEV: All modifications, upgrades, and additions are first made to the development system. QA: Once the changes have been stabilized on the development system, they are transported to the quality assurance system for testing with a subset or snapshot of the production data and then to PRD: The production system for actual use Enterprise Portal installations should be deployed accordingly to support this landscape SAP 2008 / Page 7

The User Interface and Web Dynpro Web Dynpro is SAP's strategic approach to build professional User Interface s for applications running in a browser Web Dynpro is SAP's strategic approach to build content for SAP Netweaver Portal Web Dynpro allows for the User Interface to be de-coupled from the backend. What is Netweaver Portal? SAP Netweaver Portal is SAP's strategic platform to access all SAP applications via a Web browser The Portal allows Web Dynpro User Interfaces to be displayed End User The Portal is role-based, a user only sees functionality that pertains to their job. The Role determines what a user can see and do within the Portal. The user is excluded from viewing functionality that is not part of their job SAP 2008 / Page 12

This defines the Risk Management backend Currently the Portal Content for Risk Management only recognizes a single specific System Alias which is SAP_GRM One System Alias means the Portal can only be used to connect to one single client of Risk Management backend SAP 2008 / Page 17

Multiple Portal Installations It is possible to install multiple SAP NetWeaver Portals on one physical server. Multiple portal installations on one single server are recommended for testing purposes only where hardware sizing is not crucial. Additional portals can also be installed on separate SAP NetWeaver AS systems. The portal is installed on a SAP NetWeaver Application Server (AS-Java) using the standard installation procedure. Printing Adobe Document Services Adobe document services enhance the document handling capabilities of the Netweaver Application Server. Adobe document services allow SAP applications to take advantage of the full range of capabilities in Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader. These capabilities enable SAP customers to Generate PDF documents with SAP data for use in Adobe Reader. These documents can be made to look exactly like their paper and/or online counterparts.
