3 Einführung / Introduction V Adapter -polig zu x -polig V adapters pin to x pin Die V Adapter werden für die Verbindung von Zugfahrzeugen (mit -poligen V Steckdose nach ISO 0) und Anhängern (mit x -poligen V Steckdosen; x Typ N bzw. ISO und x Typ S bzw. ISO ) verwendet. Besonders hilfreich sind diese für neue Lkws, die werkseitig nicht mit P/V-Steckdosen ausgerüstet sind. Der Einsatz der Adapterspiralen gewährleistet daher, dass ein älterer Anhänger mit dem P/V-System angehängt werden kann.
