4 SCREEN Collection LO SCREEN come SCHERMATURA SOLARE Il concetto di schermatura solare nasce dalla banale necessità di protezione dai raggi solari fino a diventare un requisito più complesso e indispensabile per assicurare un adeguato comfort visivo in rispetto delle normative europee in merito alla corretta illuminazione nei posti di lavoro. Si definisce cosi Comfort Visivo il vantaggio di filtrare in maniera adeguata la luce esterna che per caratteristiche fisiche potrebbe causare fastidi, lesioni oculari e mal di testa. Schermo è la traduzione della parola inglese Screen da cui deriva appunto il nome di questo particolare tessuto a trama larga che garantisce, oltre al Comfort Visivo descritto qui sopra, una serie di peculiarità che lo contraddistinguono: 1. La trasparenza, prima di tutto, conferita dalla particolare struttura a maglia permette di avere una buona visione dell esterno senza bloccare il contatto visivo. Questa caratteristica consente, rispetto a vetri o a lamine, di evitare la distorsione e la decolorazione dei colori dei tessuti di arredo e di aumentare la percezione di grandezza della stanza. 2. Privacy, l interno delle stanze non è visibile dall esterno con luce diurna. 3. Il passaggio del flusso d aria, vantaggio percepito soprattutto in installazioni di tende esterne, mantenendo le finestre aperte il calore viene disperso grazie alla ventilazione consentita dall apertura dei fori esistente tra i fili. SCREEN as a SOLAR SHIELD The concept of solar shielding arises from a trivial need for protection from the sun s rays, becoming a more complex and indispensable requirement that guarantees a suitable level of visual comfort in compliance with European regulatory standards regarding the correct lighting of workplaces. Thus, the definition of Visual Comfort is the advantage of suitably filtering external light, whose physical properties can cause discomfort, eye injuries and persistent headaches. We ve therefore chosen to call this special fabric Screen, since it derives its name from the distinctively large weft pattern that is designed to ensure Visual Comfort as well as a range of other special features: 1. Transparency, conferred, first and foremost, by the unique mesh structure, which allows for good outdoor visibility without blocking visual contact. Compared to glass or laminates, this characteristic prevents distortion, and the discoloration of fabric colours on furnishings, while enhancing our perception of a room s size. 2. Privacy, the inside of rooms is not visible from the outside in daylight. 3. Allows for air flow, an advantage perceived especially in the installation of outdoor blinds; heat is dispersed when windows are kept open, thanks to ventilation provided by the tiny openings of existing fissures between the threads. SONNENSCHUTZ mit SCREEN Sonnenschutz fängt beim einfachen Abschirmen von direktem Sonnenlicht an und reicht bis zum perfekten Komfort für Bildschirmarbeitsplätze unter Einhaltung der herrschenden europäischen Arbeitsvorschriften. Optischer Komfort bedeutet eine angemessene Filterung des von außen einfallenden Lichts, das aufgrund seiner Eigenschaften ansonsten Unbehagen, Schmerzen oder sogar körperliche Schäden hervorrufen kann. SCREEN wird im Deutschen synonym zum englischen Begriff Screen benutzt, idealer Name für dieses speziell hierfür entwickelte offenmaschige Gewebe, welches zum oben genannten optischen Komfort noch eine Reihe weiterer Besonderheiten aufweist: 1. Die Transparenz ist das auffälligste Merkmal dieses Sonnenschutzes, der dank seiner offenmaschigen Struktur einen guten Blick auf den Außenbereich erlaubt und den Blickkontakt dorthin ermöglicht. Diese Eigenschaft vermeidet Verzerrungen, wie sie z.b. bei Folien entstehen und schützt trotzdem z.b. empfindliche Dekorationssstoffe vor Farbveränderungen oder Ausbleichen. Gleichzeitig bleibt der volle Eindruck der räumlichen Größe des geschützten Innenbereichs erhalten. 2. Die Privatsphäre bleibt erhalten, da bei Tageslicht der geschützte Innenbereich von außen nicht eingesehen werden kann. 3. Der Luftaustausch ist sichergestellt; dieser Vorteil wird insbesondere bei der Ausführung als externer Sonnenschutz wahrgenommen, wenn bei geöffneten Fenstern die Raumwärme durch das offene Gewebe schnell nach außen abgegeben werden kann.

5 SCREEN Collection Le caratteristiche sopra elencate sono riconducibili, come abbiamo detto, alla particolare struttura a maglia tipica dei tessuti Screen ovvero al tipo di struttura e alla concentrazione dei fili per centimetro quadro. Il parametro che riconduce a tutto questo è l Openness Factor: pecentuale determinata da Superficie aperta/ superficie chiusa su centimetro quadro (qui di seguito O.F.). Commercialmente questo valore è di grande impatto differenziando di fatto la richiesta di questo particolare tessuto rispetto ai tendaggi abituali di protezione solare. Il grado di Openess Factor è direttamente relazionato con il passaggio di luce nella stanza. Nel caso di una tenda Screen i raggi solari non sono dispersi in maniera omogenea all interno della stanza ma cadono, anche se in maniera attenuata, nello stesso punto in cui cadrebbero se non ci fosse la tenda. La trasmissione della luce risulta quindi essere minore per i tessuti più chiusi con un O.F. inferiore e maggiore per screen a tramatura più larga con O.F. superiore. La scelta di un valore di O.F. corretto è quindi correlato all uso della stanza, al grado di inclinazione della luce, al colore del tessuto, all orientamento delle finestre e rappresenta elemento imprescindibile per l ottimizzazione funzionale delle tende Screen. A differenti gradi di O.F. non si associano maggiori o minori prestazioni del tessuto ma i vantaggi che derivano dalla possibilità di scegliere la migliore soluzione in funzione delle esigenze di destinazione della tenda. The parameter that explains this phenomenon is the fabric s Openness Factor: a percentage that is determined by an open surface / closed surface on every square centimeter, or O.F. Commercially, this characteristic has a great impact, differentiating demand for this special fabric compared to ordinary solar protection curtains. The Openness Factor is directly proportional to the passage of light in a room. For a Screen curtain, the sun s rays are not uniformly dispersed inside the room, but rather fall, even if attenuated, at the same point in the room they would fall in if there were no curtain. Less light is therefore transmitted for more closed fabrics with a lower O.F., allowing more light to pass through screens with a wider weft pattern, or higher O.F. The choice of the proper O.F. value is thus related to the room s use, the degree of inclination of the light, the colour of the fabric, and the orientation of the windows, representing an indispensable element in the functional optimization of Screen curtains. Varying degrees of O.F. do not correspond to greater or lesser fabric performance levels, but the advantages deriving from the possibility of choosing the best solution in relation to a curtain s intended usage. Die genannten Eigenschaften beruhen im Wesentlichen auf der besonders offenmaschigen Struktur von SCREEN, gemessen in der Anzahl an Fäden pro Quadratzentimeter. Der zugehörige Leistungswert heißt Openess Factor: prozentualer Anteil der offenen zur geschlossenen Fläche (abgekürzt O.F.). Bei Vergleichsbetrachtungen von Sonnenschutztextilien spielt dieser Faktor eine große Rolle und unterscheidet SCREEN von anderen Sonnenschutzprodukten. Das Maß des Openness Factor steht in direktem Verhältnis zum Eindringen von Licht in den Raum. Beim Gewebe SCREEN werden die Sonnenstrahlen nicht nur diffus im Raum verteilt, sondern fallen an der gleichen Stelle ein, an der sie auch ohne Vorhang einfallen würden, nur eben in abgeschwächter Form. Der Lichteinfall ist bei geschlosseneren Geweben mit niedrigem O.F. geringer als bei offenen Geweben mit hohem O.F.. Die Wahl des richtigen O.F. hängt demnach vom Einsatzzweck des zu schützenden Raums ab, vom Winkel des einfallenden Lichts, von der Farbe des Stoffes und der Ausrichtung der Fenster. Die Bestimmung des richtigen O.F. ist für eine optimale Sonnenschutzwirkung unabdingbar. Unterschiedliche Werte des O.F. bezeichnen daher im Grundsatz auch keine besseren oder schlechteren Leistungen des Gewebes, sondern dienen einer zweckmäßigen Auswahl des besten Sonnenschutzes gemäß des individuellen Einsatzbereichs..
