Ich kann mir vorstellen dass die Stimmung unter den Athleten deshalb sehr gut und gegenseitig unterstützend ist, ähnlich wie beim Inferno. Bei den letzten beiden Austragungen des sass ich zu Hause am Computer und verfolgte im Liveticker, wie meine Kolleginnen und Kollegen unterwegs waren. Ich regte mich auf, dass ich nicht dabei war. Ich hatte leider nicht teilgenommen, weil ich im 2014 den Ironman in Roth und im 2015 den Gigathlon als Single-Women als Saisonziel geplant hatte und der zu nahe an diesen Daten war. Im 2016 ist aber mein Saisonziel klar: Der SWISS- MAN! Ich liebe die Berge. Mit dem Rennrad gibt es nichts herrlicheres, als Pässe hochzuradeln ich verbringe min. 1 Woche im Jahr mit Rennradferien, in denen ich diverseste Pässe überquere. Im Herbst 2015 radelte ich mit meinem Partner auch via Route des Grandes Alpes über 17 Pässe ans Meer. Beim Joggen bevorzuge ich auch Bergläufe-Events der Jura-Toptour, Stockhornhalbmarathon, Glacier 3000, Blüemlisalplauf und auch den Jungfraumarathon mag ich sehr! Nach dem ich auch den Inferno mehrfach gefinisht habe ist es klar: Der ist der perfekte Anlass für mich!!!» 2/27

Single-Rang Gigathlon 2006 & 2009, 5. Rang Inferno Triathlon 2008) hat mich der SWISS- MAN seit Beginn fasziniert. Da ich bis dieses Jahr aber OK- Chef des Biennathlon war, konnte ich noch nicht teilnehmen. Darum würde es mich umso mehr freuen, dies 2016 endlich anzupacken. After this I have to do one of the three extreme triathlons myself I want to give myself the biggest challenge of my life, but also the most fantastic. I read a lot about the race and the tough and familiar atmosphere is my kind of challenges. After much reflection on the topic over the last few months (since Norseman), I would love to do it. The experience of Norseman was very important after my father s death and two babies that we lost. In fact this experience gave me life and brought me closer to my wife Inês (after support in Norseman, Inês returned to do sport and have made 2 races!). I had the opportunity during preparation, to embrace a social cause (in this case, we raised a van for a temporary home for children at risk - Casa das Cores) 19/23

20 and the adventure allowed me to inspire a lot of people, because they realize that it is always possible more. For example, a good friend who is priest in Lisbon and was supporting me in Norway, decided to sign up to do an Ironman in 2016, to be the first priest to finish an Ironman (there is already a sister). In addition, the Norseman experience left the opportunity to continue the support to the social cause I supported, starting the construction of a second temporary home for children at risk. The support would be given through a book that would be written with my adventure and could the history!
