The Ultimate Studio CodeGear RAD Studio 2007 is the complete solution for building applications for the Windows and.net platforms. CodeGear RAD Studio 2007 includes Delphi 2007 for Win32 and C++Builder 2007, the only IDEs that support developing on your choice of Windows 2000, XP or Vista and deploying to all. This gives you the flexibility to use the OS that best suits your needs, while still developing for other popular Windows platforms. Delphi 2007 for Win32 enables development of Vista supported applications from the familiar Win32 environment, easy creation of web applications that support AJAX, and streamlined enterprise database connectivity. New support for Windows Vista includes themed applications and VCL support for glassing, file dialogs, and Task Dialog components. Delphi for.net supports building robust web applications using both ASP.NET and VCL.NET technology. 4 Installing CodeGear RAD Studio 2007 Please refer to the install.html file provided on the DVD for detailed installation instructions specific to your edition of CodeGear RAD Studio Registering CodeGear RAD Studio 2007 The first time you use CodeGear RAD Studio 2007, the Registration Wizard will appear. Follow the steps in the wizard to register the product. You will find the serial number on the License Certificate Card located in the CodeGear RAD Studio 2007 packaging, or your order delivery if you purchased the product electronically. Online registration requires an Internet connection. If you do not have an Internet connection or have difficulties registering, please use the telephone-registration option to reach CodeGear Customer Service. If you cannot register now, you may continue- through the CodeGear Registration Wizard- to use CodeGear RAD Studio The Registration Wizard will appear each time you use the product, and you have up to 30 days to complete registration. If your company purchased networked licenses managed by Borland License Server or FLEXlm or if they manage software licenses using some other mechanism, please contact your software administrator for product activation information. Other important information The CodeGear RAD Studio 2007 DVD provides important information relating to your product, including installation instructions, release notes, what s new, and important supplementary information that might not appear in the main product documentation. You will find these files in the root directory of each installation DVD. 4
