Im Original ist der Flieger Rekordhalter für den mit 190 Tonnen schwersten Einzeltransport der Welt. Auch im Modell mit 442 Millimetern Breite und 427 Millimetern Länge ist er ein kleiner Gigant. Ein Transportwunder der Lüfte ist auch die C5-Galaxy. Bis 1982 war sie das größte Flugzeug der Welt, und auch heute sind viele der ursprünglich 131 Maschinen vor allem im militärischen Dienst unterwegs. Freunde des Maßstabs 1:500 dürfen sich jetzt auf dieses Highlight als hochwertiges es Metallmodell freuen. Dazu erscheinen viele neue Farbvarianten wie die gerade veröffentlichte Bemalung der Iberia oder die bunte Werbebemalung Manchester City, mit der der Sponsor Etihad Werbung für den gleichnamigen Fußballclub macht. Durch diese Bauart kann der Helikopter aber auch sehr schweres Gerät in unwegsames Gelände bringen. The original plane is the record holder for the world s heaviest individual transport of 190 tons. As a matter of fact, even the 442 millimeter wide and 427 millimeter long model is a little giant of the skies. Another transport wonder of world aviation is the C5-Galaxy. Indeed, until 1982 it was the world s biggest airplane and even today, many of the 131 airplanes built are still in military operation. Friends of the scale can look forward to this highlight as a high quality metal model. Furthermore, many new color variants are set to make an appearance, like the colorful Manchester City livery, with which sponsor Etihad promotes the soccer club of the same name. After the rousing success of its first model helicopter in the 1/200 scale, Herpa continues this series with a CH-47 Chinook. The medium-heavy transporter is affectionately called a flying banana in military circles because of its two raised, counter-rotating rotors. Thanks to its unusual design, the helicopter is capable of transporting even heavy equipment to impassable areas. Mit diesem ersten Abschnitt vom internationalen Flughafen Schiphol bei Amsterdam bietet Herpa neben den beliebten Gebäudesets originalgetreu nachgebildete Gebäude eines Flughafens. Diese Gebäude sind komplett montiert und weisen zahlreiche Details auf wie transparente Fensterflächen oder feine Konturen und Strukturen auf den Seiten und Dachflächen. Zunächst erscheinen das internationale Pier F des Flughafens mit den dazugehörigen und für Schiphol markanten Fluggastbrücken sowie die passende Bodenfolie. 7 WINGS NEWS / Antonov Design Bureau Antonov AN-225 Mriya CCCP Die Mriya (Traum) wurde in den 1980er Jahren im Rahmen des Buran Weltraumprogramms aus der bereits riesigen AN-124 entwickelt erlebte sie ihren Erstflug und sorgte im Westen für großes Staunen bei den Erstpräsentationen anlässlich der Ausstellungen in Paris und Farnborough 1989 und Das Modell erscheint in der ursprünglichen Bemalung inklusive sowjetischer Kennung. / Mriya (Dream) was developed in the 1980s from the already large An-124 as part of the Buran space program. Die AN-225 hält mehrere Weltrekorde, wie etwa für die schwerste Fracht (über 189 Tonnen). Dieses Flugzeug der Superlative erscheint als Herpa-Modell nun auch in 1:200. Der voll ausgespritzte Rumpf und die Tragfläche mit einer Spannweite von über 44 cm ruhen auf 32 Gummireifen. Ausgeliefert wird das Modell mit einem speziellen Stand aus Acrylglas. / The "Mriya" ("Dream") exhibits a number of awe-inspiring capabilities and figures: With a maximum take-off weight of kg (1.4 million pounds) it is the heaviest aircraft in the world and with its wing span of 88 meters (290 ft) also the largest. The AN-225 holds numerous world records, such as for the the heaviest payload at 189 tons. This second to none aircraft is now released as a Herpa model in the 1/200 scale. A special display stand made of acrylic glass is included with each model Balkan Bulgarian Airlines Tupolev TU-154B2 LZ-BTT Mit seiner Lage am Schwarzen Meer war Bulgarien stets ein beliebtes Urlaubsziel für die kommunistischen Bruderstaaten, aber auch für Urlauber Westeuropas erhielt Balkan als erste Exportkundin die damals neue TU-154. Zum 50. Jubiläum 2008, präsentierte Austrian eine A320 im Look der Gründerzeit, die noch heute auf den Flughäfen Europas bewundert werden kann. From the 1950s, Panagra operated six original series DC-6 with the short fuselage. 1/ Aloha Airlines Vickers Viscount 700 N7416 Ab 1963 betrieb Aloha vier Viscounts, die sie aus Beständen der Austrian Airlines übernahm, auf Strecken innerhalb Hawaiis und versah sie später mit dieser ausgefallenen Lackierung. / From 1963 onwards, Aloha operated four Viscounts, purchased from Austrian Airlines, on routes inside the Hawaiian Islands. These later received this fancy flower scheme. 1/ Condor Boeing Retrojet D-ABUM Auch die deutsche Ferienairline Condor feierte 2011 ihr 50. Jubiläum, und dem ersten Jet in Bemalung der 60er (ebenfalls von Herpa unter der Artikelnr erhältlich) folgt nun eine ER mit der Reg. 9 einer viereinhalb mal so großen Fläche wie der von Deutschland, ist die Mongolei der am dünnsten besiedeldste Staat der Erde. Ein Drittel der Bevölkerung lebt in der Hauptstadt Ulaanbaatar, der Rest verteilt sich auf die wenigen anderen Städte oder lebt nomadenhaft in den endlosen Weiten des Landes. Da die Bodenbeschaffenheit und das Klima kaum Ackerbau ermöglichen, wird hauptsächlich nomadische Viehwirtschaft betrieben. Auch aus diesem Grund sind Nutztiere und insbesondere Pferde noch immer wichtige Beförderungsmittel in den Steppen. Aber auch der Luftverkehr hat, wenn auch spät, eine führende Rolle im Transportwesen übernommen. Neben ersten privaten Gesellschaften steht die staatliche MIAT dabei an erster Stelle. Mit dem Übergang vom Sozialismus in die Marktwirtschaft befindet sie sich seit den 1990er Jahren im Aufwind. Unwillkürlich denkt man bei der Mongolei an den legendären Herrscher Dschingis Khan, dem es im Jahr 1206 gelang, die zerstrittenen Nomaden-Stämme auf dem Territorium der heutigen Mongolei zu vereinigen. Mit einer mächtigen Armee, zu der mit wenigen Ausnahmen alle Männer zwischen 15 und 70 Jahren verpflichtet wurden, eroberte er in dem so genannten Mongolensturm weite Teile Asiens und drang bis nach Europa vor. Das von ihm gegründete Mongolische Reich bildete das größte zusammenhängende Reich der Geschichte. Nach dessen Zusammenbruch allerdings wurden die zahlreichen Soldaten wieder zu Viehzüchtern und verlegten sich auf ihr traditionelles nomadisches Dasein. Ab dem 16. Jahrhundert kam das Land zunehmend unter den Einfluss des Buddhismus, und große Teile wurden wenig später durch die chinesische Qing-Dynastie beherrscht. Deren Zusammenbruch wiederum nutzte die Mongolei, um mit russischer Unterstützung im Jahr 1911 ihre Unabhängigkeit zu erklären.
