Bedienungs- und Montageanleitung Batterie-Identifikations-Modul EL-BIM 1.0 Allgemeines Das Batterie-Identifikations-Modul EL-BIM ermöglicht eine eindeutige Zuordnung von Ladevorgang und Batterie in den Ladeschlußdaten des Ladegerätes (s. Bild 3).

2.000.000.000 2. Batterienennkapazität (Ah) 3. Batterienennspannung (V) 4. Datum der Inbetriebnahme 5. Operating and installation instructions Battery Identification Module EL-BIM 1.0 General The battery identification module EL-BIM allows for unambiguous allocation of charging procedure and battery in the end-of-charge data of the battery charger (see fig. 3). The programmed battery code is transmitted constantly via an auxiliary contact of the battery plug and an additional data line to a correspondingly equipped battery charger. The EL-BIM is mounted on top of the battery on a free surface between the cell connectors of the battery, and can be fastened with cable ties. It takes its power supply from the battery and must be connected up all the time. The following versions are available for different charger connectors: EL-BIM (LST 80 A DIN) Art. No. 515 840 EL-BIM (LST 160 A DIN) Art. No. 515 841 EL-BIM (LST 320 A DIN) Art. No. 515 842 2.0 Installation The housing of the EL-BIM is equipped with two lateral holding eyelets for mechanical fastening. It can be fastened with cable ties. The power supply is provided from the red lead = battery + black lead = battery and is connected directly to the battery pole. The leads 1.5 m long are to be shortened to the required length and fitted with corresponding cable lugs. The 2.5 m long purple data lead is to be shortened to the corresponding length to the battery connector; the enclosed auxiliary contact jack is to be soldered in position and plugged into the battery connector housing on the side of the minus pole. The data lead should be bundled to the battery cable. Caution! The battery charger must always be equipped with a data transfer lead. Connect the wire of the EL-BIM to the electronic of the charger socket X6 BIM. 5

4.0 Entering and sending the battery code The EL-BIM is programmed using the ELS-2 software and the service interface. In the ELS-2 program, go to the EL-BIM menu. Now you can program the EL-BIM with the following data (programming is also possible without the battery connected up, when the power supply comes from the interface). 1. Battery number = 10-digit number up to max. 2.000.000.000 2. Battery rated capacity (Ah) 3. Battery rated voltage (V) 4. Date of initial commissioning 5.
