Einige Begriffe der Lichttechnik definieren wir kurz auf diesen Seiten und möchten Sie so bei der Auswahl des richtigen Lichts unterstützen. Our aim is to provide the best lighting solution for your application. We wish to define some of the terms used in lighting technology helping you to choose the proper lighting product. Kelvin In Kelvin (K) wird die Farbtemperatur oder Lichtfarbe einer Lampe angegeben. Die Lichtfarbe ist wichtig bei der Lichtplanung und sollte auf den Beleuchtungsbereich abgestimmt sein. Die Lichtfarben können von warmweiß (eher orange-gelb) bis zu kaltweiß (bläulich) variieren. ELEKTRA arbeitet mit den drei Lichtfarben warmweiß (3.000K), kaltweiß (4.000K) und tageslichtweiß (6.400K). Kelvin The colour temperature or light colour of a lamp is indicated in Kelvin (K). Light colour is important for lighting designs and should be adapted to the lighted area. Light colours range from warm-white (red to yellow) to cool-white (blue). Lumen für die Beschreibung der Helligkeit, Watt für die Darstellung der dafür verbrauchten Energie und somit für die Beurteilung der Energieeffizienz. Lumen Lumen (lm) is the luminous flux in all directions emitted by a lamp. Evaluating various lamp sources with different luminous efficacy values (Lumen per Watt), it is important to know both values in order to categorize a lamp source. Lumen describes the brightness, Watt refers to the power consumption and their ratio evaluates the energy efficiency. Richtwerte: Lux Illuminance is measured in Lux (lx) on horizontal and vertical planes and indicates the amount of luminous flux from a light source reaching a surface. Distance from the lamp source and the radiation angle are important factors. Dabei kommt der höchste Wert Ra 100 dem Tageslicht in der Farbwiedergabe der beleuchteten Gegenstände am nächsten. Der Farbwiedergabeindex ist abhängig von der spektralen Zusammensetzung des Lichts (CRI) und ist daher bei der Auswahl von LED von Bedeutung. CRI >60 CRI >80 Colour rendering index The colour rendition index (Ra) describes how colours are rendered by a lamp source. The highest value Ra 100 is nearly equivalent to the colour rendition of natural daylight. The colour rendering index (CRI) depends on the spectral composition of the light and is therefore important for the selection of LED lighting. Energieeffizienz und Betriebsarten bei LED Generell gilt die Aussage, dass LED weniger Strom verbrauchen als herkömmliche Lampen. Ca. 30 % der Energie werden in Licht umgesetzt, damit sind LED sehr effiziente Lichtquellen. Aber die beste Leuchte verliert einen Großteil ihrer Vorteile, wenn sie mit schlechten oder nicht-kompatiblen Drivern oder Widerständen betrieben wird. HIGH LIGHTS LO W E N E R G Y Energy efficiency and operation modes of LED In general LED lights consume less energy than standard lamps. LEDs convert approx. 30 % of the energy into light and are thus energy-efficient lamp sources. But the best lighting fixture loses the majority of its advantages if operated by nonperforming or non-compatible drivers. Wir empfehlen deshalb Konstantstromsteuerungen zur Vermeidung von Wirkungsgradverlusten bei LED. Bei einem Anschluss an eine Konstantstromquelle entsteht nur ein geringer Wirkungsgradverlust im Driver. Zum Vergleich: Bei Anschluss an eine 12 V- oder 24 V-Konstantspannungsquelle entsteht ein zusätzlicher Wirkungsgradverlust durch die erforderliche Vorschaltung eines Widerstands in jeder Einheit. We therefore recommend constant-current controlled drivers to prevent losses in efficiency. Connection to a constant-current power supply causes a minimal efficiency loss. In comparison: connection to a 12 V or 24 V constantvoltage power supply causes an additional loss in efficiency due to the series resistor required. 7
