März 2007 Louvre Hotels und Warimpex Finanz- und Beteiligungs AG haben heute ein strategisches Joint Venture zur Entwicklung einer eigenen Budget-Hotelkette in Zentraleuropa angekündigt. Jede der beiden Gesellschaften wird zu 50 Prozent an dem Joint Venture beteiligt sein, das den Aufbau von Budget-Hotels in Zentraleuropa (Polen, der Tschechischen Republik, Ungarn und der Slowakei, mit möglicher Ausweitung in andere Länder der Region) vorsieht. Unter dem Joint Venture wollen die beiden Gesellschaften die erfolgreichen bestehenden Budget-Hotelmarken von Louvre Hotels Campanile, Première Classe und Kyriad weiter ausbauen. Der Start des Joint Ventures ist vorbehaltlich allfälliger Regierungsgenehmigungen für Mitte 2007 geplant. Die beiden Gesellschaften wollen in den nächsten fünf bis sieben Jahren gemeinsam 300 bis 500 Millionen EUR in die Entwicklung von über 80 Hotels in der Region investieren. Die erste Investitionsphase soll rund 30 Hotels in der Region bzw. ein anfängliches Investitionsvolumen von 150 Mio. Euro umfassen. Warimpex wird in dem geplanten Joint Venture als Entwickler fungieren, Louvre Hotels als Hotelbetreiber. Louvre Hotels besitzt in Folge der Akquisition durch Starwood Capital die notwendige Finanzkraft und Rückendeckung, um sich mit seinen führenden Marken in den derzeitigen und zukünftigen Wachstumsmärkten zu etablieren. Dank des umfangreichen Netzwerks von über 800 Budget-Hotels in ganz Europa, darunter bereits neun in Polen, kann Louvre Hotels reichhaltige Expertise in diesem Segment in die Zusammenarbeit einbringen. Louvre Hôtels: Budget branch The budget branch of Louvre Hotels brings together four wellknown and high-profile brands: Kyriad, Kyriad Prestige, Campanile and Première Classe. With 806 hotels and a total capacity of almost 52,000 rooms, this branch is a key player in the hotel and restaurant industry in Europe. Already active in nine European countries, the budget branch is keen to pursue international expansion of its brands. The branch intends to double the size of its economy hotel base by 2012. It offers an alternative to the standardised two and three-star hotel market.
